Michael Mayer: Nabs two receptions Monday
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 2:19 AM GREMMINGER

Mayer has two receptions on as many targets for nine yards in Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers.

Mayer was likely swooped up by concerned Brock Bowers (knee) managers this weekend after the star tight end was in jeopardy of missing Monday's contest. The latter wound up suiting up and playing his regular allotment of snaps, limiting Mayer to his usual backup role and marginal production. With Bowers finishing Monday's contest without issue, Mayer will return to fantasy irrelevance in Week 3.

Jakobi Meyers: Team-high 12 targets Monday
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 2:11 AM Pigskin Desperado

Meyers finished with six receptions on 12 targets for 68 yards in Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers.

Meyers paced Las Vegas in targets, receptions and receiving yards despite finishing with a poor catch rate (50 percent). The 28-year-old has garnered double-digit targets in both appearances with new QB Geno Smith this season, cementing the wideout's spot atop the Raiders' depth chart. Meyers' predictable volume makes him a reliable starting option heading into Sunday's tilt against the Commanders, offering a notable boost in value for those in PPR formats.

Geno Smith: Throws three picks on MNF
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 1:51 AM Pigskin Desperado

Smith completed 24 of 43 pass attempts for 180 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing five times for 20 yards in Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers.

This outing was doomed from the get go when Smith threw the first of three interceptions on the first play from scrimmage. The 34-year-old had no answers after netting just 45 yards of offense through the first half of action Monday. This putrid showing comes on the heels of Smith airing it out for 362 yards in a Week 1 win over the Patriots, highlighting the peaks and valleys that come with a quarterback who threw 21 TDs to 15 INTs with Seattle last season. The Raiders will be counting on a bounce-back performance from its veteran signal-caller in a softer matchup against Washington in Week 3.

Keenan Allen: Two straight weeks with TDs
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 1:36 AM Church's Rangers

Allen caught five of his team-leading seven targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in the 20-9 win over the Raiders on Monday.

Allen continues to be Mr. Reliable for Justin Herbert, capitalizing on a nifty bit of scrambling by the quarterback in the second quarter to toe tap in the back of the end zone for another touchdown in as many weeks. While the veteran may have lost a shade of elusiveness after the catch, Allen's crafty route running is turning into the ultimate safety blanket and has arguably cut into Ladd McConkey's (five catches on five targets for 48 yards) seemingly airtight projected volume to kickstart the 2025 campaign.

Brock Bowers: No limitations on MNF
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 1:31 AM GREMMINGER

Bowers (knee) corralled five of eight targets for 38 yards in Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers.

Bowers was able to suit up after injuring his knee Week 1 and being limited to just one practice Saturday. The budding superstar wore a bulky brace on his left knee but otherwise was unaffected by the injury that threatened his status for Monday's primetime matchup. Bowers' pedestrian stat line was the result of a horrid passing night from QB Geno Smith, who completed just 55 percent of his pass attempts while throwing three interceptions. With the injury scare behind him, Bowers and the entire Las Vegas offense will look to right the ship in a road tilt against the Commanders on Sunday.

Quentin Johnston: Another TD in win
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 1:30 AM Building a Bully #273

Johnston caught just three of his seven targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in the 20-9 win over the Raiders on Monday.

Johnson had multiple critical drops in the first quarter, but for a second consecutive week the 24-year-old once again connected with Justin Herbert on a beautiful frozen rope this time for a 60-yard touchdown that proved to be all the scoring necessary to beat the Raiders. The 2023 first-round pick did tie for the team high with seven targets, but unlike Keenan Allen and Ladd McConkey, the majority of Johnston's targets appeared to be scripted and don't necessarily indicate a potential bump in volume on a week-to-week basis.

Omarion Hampton: Major gaffe caps bad fantasy day
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 1:26 AM GREMMINGER

Hampton carried the ball eight times for 24 yards and caught one of his two targets for an additional yard in the 20-9 win over the Raiders on Monday.

There wasn't a whole lot of positive takeaways for the rookie in this one. One week after leading the backfield in touches, Hampton split the carries evenly with Najee Harris at eight each and the veteran also chipped in with two receptions for 20 yards. Perhaps more crucially, a botched handoff on the Chargers' penultimate possession directly led to a fumble which gave the Raiders a modicum of life, and then Harris finished the ensuing series to ice the game. Hampton could turn things around Week 3 against a Broncos defense that just allowed 215 total yards to Jonathan Taylor.

Ladd McConkey: Not needed in easy win
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 1:20 AM GREMMINGER

McConkey caught all five of his targets for 48 yards in the 20-9 win over the Raiders on Monday.

The second-year target narrowly missed out on a bigger fantasy day if not for some timely tackling by the Raiders, but McConkey was simply an afterthought compared to Keenan Allen (5-61-1 on seven targets) and Quentin Johnston (3-71-1 on seven targets) on the evening. McConkey saw fewer than five targets in just two games all of last season, so while the game script suggests the speedy target simply wasn't needed in this one, the lack of volume could be something to monitor in future weeks.

Justin Herbert: Efficient in dominate win
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 1:14 AM Can’t Wait

Herbert completed 19 of 27 attempts for 242 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's 20-9 win over the Raiders. He also led the team in rushing on nine attempts for 31 yards but fumbled once.

Herbert took what the defense gave him all evening, and the Raiders never seemed to have an answer. The sixth-year quarterback efficiently marched down the field whenever Los Angeles needed a sustaining drive, and were it not for the ineptitude of Geno Smith and company on the other side, Herbert probably could have pressed further for a bigger game. It's clear the 27-year-old is looking to be more mobile in 2025, as that's now back-to-back games with 30 or more rushing yards, a feat he accomplished just four times total last season.

Ashton Jeanty: Leading rusher on 11 attempts
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 1:14 AM MRD Mystiques #08

Jeanty took 11 carries for 43 yards and caught three of four targets for one yard in Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers.

The Raiders continued deploying Jeanty as the team's bellcow out of the backfield, handing the rookie 11 of the 13 carries dispersed to running backs Monday. The sixth-overall pick from this year's draft failed to repeat last week's trip to the end zone, resulting in a middling fantasy score in his second pro appearance. Jeanty's monster share of backfield touches combined with the upside that made him such a high draft choice keep his fantasy ceiling raised as the season rolls along. The Boise State product's next opportunity to break out will come in a road matchup against the Commanders on Sunday.
