Drew Sample: Catches three passes Sunday
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:18 PM Free Agent

Sample caught all three of his targets for 19 yards during Sunday's 33-27 win versus the Buccaneers.

Sample was on the field for 42 of Cincinnati's 64 offensive snaps in Week 1, easily pacing Bengals tight ends in playing time. He has never been a truly explosive pass-catching threat, but a sustained high catch rate and regular playing time should keep him in the mix in a crowded passing attack.

Ryan Fitzgerald: Misses PAT in loss
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:16 PM Free Agent

Fitzgerald made four of his five PATs and converted his sole field-goal attempt in Sunday's 59-37 loss to the Bears.

Fitzgerald's 44-yard field goal was his only challenge of the night, and the kicker was up to it. Where the 26-year-old shrunk was in his consistency, with an 80 percent PAT conversion rate that pales in comparison to opposing kicker Cairo Santos' flawless night, despite being asked to kick eight PATs.

Chris Brooks: Logs seven carries vs. Minnesota
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:16 PM Free Agent

Brooks turned seven carries into 29 yards and failed to haul in his lone target during the Packers' 39-22 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.

With Josh Jacobs (personal) on the Commissioner's Exempt List to open the season, the Packers went with a one-two punch of Brooks and MarShawn Lloyd in the backfield. Brooks 38 snaps on offense were ahead of Lloyd (30), though the latter led all Packers running backs with 13 for 37 yards. Neither RB managed to get anything going in the passing game, so the Packers may just ride the hot hand on a game-to-game basis while Jacobs is sidelined. The Packers will stay on the road for their Week 2 matchup against the Jets on Sept. 20.

Xavier Legette: Quiet outing Week 1
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:12 PM Free Agent

Legette failed to haul in either of his targets and returned two kickoffs for 51 yards during Carolina's loss to the Bears on Sunday.

Legette had a quiet outing despite playing 36 of the team's 68 snaps. The 2024 first-round pick will look to be more involved offensively during next week's game against the Falcons but will most likely continue to see the majority of his production come on special teams unless either Tetairoa McMillan or Jalen Coker is forced to miss time.

Jack Bech: Scores in season opener
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:12 PM Free Agent

Bech caught three of four targets for 23 yards and a touchdown Sunday in a 27-13 win over Miami.

Bech logged just 27 of Las Vegas' 68 offensive snaps, but his 3-23-1 receiving line on four targets was very similar to that of fellow wideouts Tre Tucker (3-27-0 on four targets) and Jalen Nailor (3-27-0 on five targets). Bech had by far the biggest impact, however, thanks to his 15-yard TD reception in the first quarter. QB Kirk Cousins leaned the most on running back Ashton Jeanty (6-45-2 receiving line on six targets) and tight end Michael Mayer (6-32-0 on seven targets) through the air, but his near-even distribution of targets among the team's wideouts is a good sign for Bech's potential to grow within the offense. The Raiders' WR corps doesn't have a clear-cut No. 1 option, so Bech has a chance to push for an increased role with a strong start to the campaign.

AJ Dillon: Gets garbage-time work in loss
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:10 PM Free Agent

Dillon handled five carries for 28 yards during Sunday's 59-37 loss versus the Bears.

All of Dillon's touches came during Carolina's last drive of the game, when Chicago was leading by 22 points with less than four minutes remaining and more than content to let the Panthers run out the clock. Chuba Hubbard and 2024 second-rounder Jonathon Brooks should still probably be considered as being ahead of Dillon in line for carries going into Week 2.

Cairo Santos: Makes eight PATs in dominant win
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:10 PM Free Agent

Santos made his sole field-goal attempt and converted eight PATs in Sunday's 59-37 win over the Panthers.

Santos was only called upon for a 40-yard field goal, but the kicker's consistency netted the Bears a total of 11 points. The 34-year-old made all 39 of his point-after attempts in 2025 and has continued that streak through a Week 1 offensive masterclass in 2026.

Malik Benson: Negative yardage in NFL debut
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:09 PM Free Agent

Benson caught one pass on two targets for six yards while taking his lone carry for minus-eight yards during the Raiders' 27-13 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He also returned two punts for 35 yards.

Benson caught a six-yard pass from Kirk Cousins in what was the former's first NFL catch, though he lost eight yards on a double reverse that the Dolphins' defense snuffed out. Benson's seven snaps on offense were the fewest among Raiders wide receivers Sunday, and even with Brock Bowers (knee) sidelined, the rookie sixth-rounder figures to be an afterthought in Las Vegas' offense, though he'll have the opportunity to make big plays on special teams as a punt returner.

Mitchell Evans: Limited offensive output in Week 1
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:06 PM Free Agent

Evans caught one of two targets for nine yards in Sunday's 59-37 loss to the Bears.

Evans was on the field for 27 of the team's 68 offensive snaps while operating as the team's primary reserve option at tight end behind Tommy Tremble. Evans also logged 17 snaps with the special-teams unit, and he will continue to have limited offensive upside in Week 2 against the Falcons.

Tommy Tremble: Three catches in loss
Monday, September 14, 2026 8:05 PM Free Agent

Tremble caught three of his five targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 59-37 loss to the Bears.

Tremble played 34 offensive snaps, which ended up being just under 56 percent of the Panthers' total offensive plays. The tight end also contributed 11 special teams snaps in the losing effort, showing some versatility in what was overall a productive offensive day for the Panthers.
