Prescott completed 38 of 52 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants. He added 17 rushing yards on three carries.

It was Prescott's highest yardage total since Week 3 of last season, when he fired up 379 yards in a loss to the Ravens. The veteran QB rebounded in a big way from a quiet Week 1 effort, but the Cowboys' defensive issues may require him to continue putting the ball in the air a lot more often than expected. Prescott could be poised for another big performance in Week 3 against a Bears defense that just got torched for five passing TDs by Jared Goff and the Lions.

Prescott completed 21 of 34 passes for 188 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions while adding one rush for three yards in the Cowboys' 34-20 loss to the Eagles on Thursday night.

Prescott spearheaded the upset-minded Cowboys through a productive first two quarters that had Dallas up by a 14-7 margin at one point. The initial two drives culminated in Javonte Williams rushing touchdowns, and Prescott played mistake-free football while frequently focusing on top target CeeDee Lamb. However, Prescott and new addition George Pickens had some trouble connecting in their first game together -- albeit because of defensive pass interference in one instance -- and Lamb then failed to find the handle on a couple of the quarterback's throws in the fourth quarter, including on a perfectly thrown fourth-down lob down the left side of the field that Lamb dove for but couldn't secure. Prescott and Pickens will have some extra time to build chemistry ahead of the Cowboys' Week 2 game, which will be their home opener against the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Montgomery rushed 11 times for 57 yards and a touchdown and secured his only target for four yards in the Lions' 52-21 win over the Bears on Sunday.

Montgomery and backfield mate Jahmyr Gibbs each recorded a rushing touchdown, and Montgomery also had just one fewer carry than his star teammate, albeit while compiling 37 fewer rushing yards. Montgomery still averaged 5.2 yards per carry, however, and he rang up his first TD of the season on a one-yard run late in the first quarter. Through two games, it appears the backs will continue to operate in a fairly close timeshare, but they face a thorny matchup in a Week 3 road trip to face the Ravens on Monday night, Sept. 22.

Montgomery rushed the ball 11 times for 25 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Packers. He added four receptions on four targets for 18 yards.

The Lions' offense struggled to get on track, which led to underwhelming performances for nearly all of their skill-position players. Montgomery wasn't an exception, but he did manage 15 touches, nearly evenly matching Jahmyr Gibbs' 19. A more typical game script may change how the backs are deployed, but Montgomery still appears to have a significant role in Detroit's backfield heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Bears.

Moore secured five of six targets for 46 yards in the Bears' 52-21 loss to the Lions on Sunday.

Moore was a distant second in receiving yards and targets to Rome Odunze while finishing as the runner-up in receptions as well. As such, Moore took a clear back seat to Odunze in the air attack for at least this week, but the pecking order Sunday could indeed be a harbinger of what's to come as the season unfolds. Moore does have an 8-114-0 receiving line on 11 targets through two games heading into a Week 3 home matchup against the Cowboys next Sunday afternoon.

Moore (abdomen/groin) was listed as full on Wednesday's practice estimate, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Moore remained on the turf for multiple minutes after being hit by two Vikings defenders while trying to haul in a Caleb Williams pass in the fourth quarter of Monday's loss. He remained in the game, though, and finished with three catches (on five targets) for 68 yards, three carries for eight yards and a lost fumble while playing 84 percent (56 of 67) of the offensive snaps. Wednesday's injury report clarifies the health concerns that Moore is dealing with, but his lack of limitations indicate he'll likely gut through them in Sunday's contest at Detroit.

Moore caught three of five targets for 68 yards, rushed three times for eight yards and lost a fumble in Monday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.

Moore stayed down after taking a big hit in the fourth quarter but eventually stayed in the game after talking to trainers, as evidenced by his fumble, which came as the Bears were attempting laterals on the game's final play. He occasionally lined up in the backfield in addition to his customary role at wide receiver, so he may handle a few rushing attempts on a weekly basis moving forward. Moore led the Bears in receiving yards each of the past two seasons, so it's no surprise that he topped that category for the team in Monday's season opener. The 28-year-old wide receiver should remain heavily involved Week 2 against the Lions.

Smith corralled four of six targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over Kansas City.

Smith finished as the Eagles' leading receiver in a game during which his team threw for just 101 yards. It was a marked improvement from the veteran starter following last Thursday's three-catch, 16-yard stinker in a win over the Cowboys. Expect Smith and the entire Philadelphia passing attack to be more involved next Sunday lining up opposite the Rams' high-powered passing attack.

Smith secured all three targets for 16 yards in the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.

As Smith's line corroborates, it was a quiet night for the speedster to open the 2025 campaign. Smith finished behind both Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert in receptions on the night, while No. 3 receiver Jahan Dotson outgained him by 43 yards on the same number of catches. Nevertheless, there's no question more productive days are ahead for Smith, and a Week 2 road rematch with a Chiefs team he recorded 69 yards and a touchdown against in Super Bowl LIX in February may provide just the platform for Smith's first noteworthy performance of the new season.

Lutz missed his lone field-goal attempt but made all four of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 29-28 loss to the Colts.

Lutz only field-goal attempt was a 42-yard try late in the fourth quarter that would have given the Broncos a five-point lead over the Colts. Instead, the veteran missed the kick, hitting the right upright in the process. The Colts would then go on to make a field goal of their own to win the game in walk-off fashion. With Denver's offense operating at a high level and finding the end zone on multiple occasions Sunday, Lutz was not relied upon as much as usual. The 31-year-old will look to get back on track when the Broncos visit the Chargers in Week 3.

Lutz went 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made both of his extra-point tries in Denvers' 20-12 win over the Titans on Sunday.

Lutz's 39-yard field goal tied the game 3-3 in the first quarter, and his 33-yard make gave the Broncos a 13-12 lead in the third quarter. Lutz is in his third season with Denver. He made 31 of 34 field goals and all 46 of his extra points last season.

Maye completed 19 of 23 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 10 times for 31 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-27 win over the Dolphins.

Maye completed 30 of 46 passes for 287 yards with a touchdown and an interception and added four rushes for 11 yards in the Patriots' 20-13 loss to the Raiders on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by New England.

The Commanders officially placed Ekeler (Achilles) on injured reserve Monday.

Ekeler suffered a torn Achilles during Thursday's 27-18 loss to the Packers, an MRI confirmed Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Ekeler is set to undergo an MRI on Friday, but the Commanders believe that he suffered a torn Achilles, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Gordon rushed once for eight yards and secured his only target for five yards during Miami's 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.

Gordon rushed twice for four yards and brought in his only target for minus-1 yard in the Dolphins' 33-8 loss to the Colts on Sunday.

Hunt took eight carries for 31 yards and caught his only target for three yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Eagles.

Hunt rushed five times for 16 yards and secured two of three targets for 10 yards during the Chiefs' 27-21 loss to the Chargers on Friday night.

Legette caught one of eight targets for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Cardinals.

Legette caught three of seven targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Jaguars.
