He added three catches on three targets, gaining an additional 10 yards. His 18 touches were by far the most in the Chargers backfield, as Gus Edwards was second with just three. Dobbins has clearly taken over the RB1 role for the Chargers and will certainly have bigger weeks than this very tough matchup in a low scoring game. Dobbins and the Chargers will face the Kansas City Chiefs next week, possibly without starting quarterback Justin Herbert (ankle).

He ranks first in the NFL in explosive run rate and missed tackles forced per attempt. He's 12th in the league in yards after contact, and the Chargers offensive line has been excellent in opening up running lanes, with the Chargers offense tops in the league in yards before contact in the running game. The Steelers defense is solid over all, but has been just about average against running backs through the first two weeks of the season. Dobbins is a high-end RB2 with clear upside.

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins followed up his strong Week 1 performance with another excellent performance in a Week 2 win over the Carolina Panthers. Dobbins carried the ball 17 times, gaining 131 yards and scoring a touchdown. He was targeted only once in the passing game, making the catch but ending up with no gain. Dobbins scored his touchdown on a 43-yard run in the second quarter, ending it with a flip into the end zone. He looked healthy again and dominated the Chargers running game. His backfield mate Gus Edwards ended up with 18 carries, one more than Dobbins, but Edwards gained just 59 yards. Dobbins has quickly moved himself to the RB1 role on the Chargers depth chart and should be a solid RB2 in fantasy if he stays on the field.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 3 versus the New Orleans Saints. He exited the game in the second half. At the time of his departure, he had caught seven of 10 targets for 79 yards. Smith had earned an uptick in targets lately with A.J. Brown (hamstring) sidelined. Now, Philadelphia will be without both of its top two receivers for the end of Sunday's game and perhaps beyond. Tight end Dallas Goedert figures to be the centerpiece of the passing game while receivers Johnny Wilson, Jahan Dotson, and Parris Campbell also get involved. The Eagles face the Buccaneers next weekend before heading into a Week 5 bye.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith will go on the road to take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. The 25-year-old did a fine job filling in as the No. 1 receiving option last week against the Atlanta Falcons as A.J. Brown (hamstring) was out. Smith caught seven of 10 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in the contest and is in line for a similar target share this week against the Saints with Brown expected to miss once again. New Orleans' defense has been great through two weeks, but they are not unstoppable through the air. They have allowed the 14th-most passing yards this year and allowed CeeDee Lamb to gain 90 yards on just four receptions last week. Chunk plays are Smith's specialty, and he has the chance to have them in what should be a competitive game Sunday. Consider the Eagles' young receiver a top-tier WR2 with top-12 upside in Week 3.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught seven of 10 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown during the team's 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. With A.J. Brown (hamstring) out for this game, and likely a few more, the Eagles' No. 2 receiver played the No. 1 role and made multiple clutch grabs including a seven-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give the Eagles their first lead of the game. Outside of Britain Covey, who had six targets, Smith was the only player to see a high target share and should remain a safe WR2 with top-12 upside as long as Brown misses time. The 25-year-old will face off against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts began the season by catching all three targets for 26 yards and a touchdown versus the Steelers. Unfortunately, he struggled in Week 2 against the Eagles, amassing three grabs for 20 yards. Fantasy managers had high hopes for Pitts coming into the 2024-25 campaign. However, the 23-year-old hasn't met expectations. With that in mind, most of the tight ends around the National Football League have struggled this season. Still, Pitts' upside is higher than most in Week 3, with a favorable matchup on tap versus a Chiefs defense that has allowed more fantasy points to opposing tight ends than any team this season. Keep the 2021 No. 4 overall pick starting in all fantasy formats.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts saw four targets and hauled in three catches for 20 yards in the team's win over the Eagles on Monday night. The talented tight end was a bit quiet in this one with most of his work coming on underneath routes. Wide receivers Drake London and Darnell Moody were the main threats in the passing game in this one. Pitts should remain a good option in this offense this season and there will likely be better games ahead for him. This was a disappointing week for Pitts' fantasy managers but that is the reality of the tight end landscape in fantasy this season. He should still be counted on as a weekly starter at the position.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts will be looking for more volume in Week 2 heading into Monday Night's football game versus the Philadelphia Eagles. Although he did find the end zone on broken coverage in Week 1, the volume was not what fantasy managers were hoping for with new quarterback Kirk Cousins under center. Pitts only saw three targets and caught all three for 26 yards beyond the lone touchdown. If the Falcons can make the adjustments they need in Week 2, Pitts remains a crucial weapon in this offense and should muster up more than the three targets he received in Week 1's underwhelming performance by Kirk Cousins and the rest of Atlanta's offense. His versatility between lining up as a tight end and as a wide receiver should make it difficult for the Eagles secondary to cover him. Despite the lack of targets in Week 1, Pitts remains a must-start and is currently TE6 in the latest RotoBaller rankings for Week 2.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase wasn't a lock to suit up against the Pats in Week 1. Although he managed to get on the field, he fell below expectations, amassing six grabs for 62 yards. The former LSU Tiger didn't play much better in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, catching four of his five targets for 35 yards. Chase had a slow start to the 2023-24 campaign, so fantasy managers aren't surprised by his lack of output this season. But the Bengals offense appears to be returning to form after narrowly picking up the win over the defending champs. With that in mind, Chase has a favorable matchup on tap with the Commanders on Monday night, with Washington allowing more fantasy points to opposing wideouts than any team in the National Football League. Keep Chase starting in all formats, considering all of the ingredients are there for a big night, regardless if Tee Higgins (hamstring) is back in the mix.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had four catches for 35 yards in Sunday's narrow loss to the Chiefs. After nearly sitting out Week 1 against the Pats, the wideout finished with six catches for 62 yards. While that wasn't what fantasy managers were hoping for, it was still better than what he produced in Week 2. The former LSU Tiger hasn't met expectations through the first two weeks of the 2024-25 campaign. However, there's no way to justify keeping him out of the starting lineup when the Bengals meet the Commanders for a Monday Night Football showdown. Hopefully, with the distraction of contract talks now on hold until after the season, he'll turn things around.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase stated he has no plans to negotiate a long-term deal with the team this season. The news comes after Chase felt slighted when the Bengals did not sign him to an extension this offseason after they told him repeatedly they would do so. The 24-year-old participated in 84% of Cincinnati's snaps this past weekend in their shocking 16-10 loss to the New England Patriots, catching all six of his targets for 62 yards. The LSU product was featured on the Bengals' injury report in Week 1 during his partial holdout. However, he seems to be putting negotiations behind him for the remainder of the season. The former Tiger has reportedly taken out a $50 million insurance policy on himself ahead of the rest of the 2024 season. He was solid last week, and Chase can be trusted as a WR1 moving forward as Cincinnati's offense attempts to get back on track after a so-so Week 1 performance.

New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson rushed five times for 29 yards during Thursday's game against the New York Jets. He also caught three passes for an additional eight yards through the air. Gibson primarily played late in the game, including the drive in which Drake Maye replaced Jacoby Brissett. He was incredibly efficient with 5.8 YPC and showed a sort of burst on the ground that we haven't necessarily seen from Gibson in years past. He also kept firm possession of the football, which can't be said of Rhamondre Stevenson. The Patriots' lead back has now fumbled in three consecutive games, so if the coaching staff can't trust him to protect the football, he could lose significant opportunities to Gibson. The former Commander back is a fringe top-36 fantasy running back for Week 4 against the Niners.

New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson has emerged as an intriguing fantasy option ahead of his Week 3 clash against the New York Jets. Gibson was particularly productive last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, rushing for 96 yards on 11 carries. Typically viewed as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, Gibson has been almost exclusively used on the ground with the Patriots this season. He offers great burst and change of pace behind lead back Rhamondre Stevenson. The big concern with Gibson is playing time. He registered a dozen touches last week, but he only played 24 percent of offensive snaps. It's difficult to play less than one-quarter of the snaps and have consistent fantasy relevance. Nevertheless, Gibson proved last week that he's capable of producing fantasy points, putting him on the radar as a fringe top-36 running back this week. Interestingly, for perhaps the first time in his career, he might rank higher in standard leagues than in PPR formats.

New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson rushed 11 times for 96 yards during the team's 23-20 overtime loss against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. He also caught his lone target for a seven-yard game. In total, he had 103 scrimmage yards on 12 touches. The versatile running back was highly productive on Sunday, though nearly half of his yardage came on one 45-yard gain on the ground. Nevertheless, he has shown explosiveness and is starting to earn the trust of the Patriots' coaching staff. He'll continue to operate behind Rhamondre Stevenson against the Jets on Thursday but could sneak into the RB3/FLEX tier in fantasy leagues with at least 14 teams.

Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson turned a quality game for the Packers in their 30-14 victory against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3. Wilson led the running backs in rushing yards with 50 on 12 carries, while bringing in both targets for 35 yards and a touchdown. Wilson's touchdown came on a screen pass where he weaved his way behind his blockers and then used his speed to scamper 30 yards for the touchdown. With MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) placed on injured reserve, Wilson is the primary backup behind Josh Jacobs. The Packers have employed a run-heavy approach in the last couple of games with Malik Willis installed as quarterback. Wilson has standalone value in deeper fantasy leagues for Week 4 against Minnesota but is more of a contingency fantasy play in case something happens to Jacobs. That said, if Wilson continues to siphon off more work from Jacobs in the Packers' backfield, Wilson could be a sneaky startable fantasy option.

Wilson only saw five carries for nine yards in the win over the Indianapolis Colts. However, he figures to take a slightly larger workload with Lloyd headed to the injured reserve. Wilson put together a decent performance during the season opener, but there won't be a significant workload for him with Josh Jacobs healthy. That being said, Wilson is worth stashing in deep leagues or dynasty formats, but isn't a reliable starting option for Week 3.

Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson was the primary backup behind Josh Jacobs during the season opener. The 25-year-old did well as he rushed for 46 yards on four yards with two receptions as well. It was a decent outing given his fairly small workload, which could be reduced even more in Week 2. Fellow back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) is expected to suit up against the Indianapolis Colts this weekend. He figures to be in the mix as well behind Jacobs, which means there probably won't be much fantasy value from Wilson or Lloyd. Both backs are going to play second fiddle to Jacobs who is the workhorse back in Green Bay. The other two backs could be worth stashing in deep leagues, but they aren't worth starting right now.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson caught eight passes for 122 yards and a touchdown in their Week 3 36-22 defeat of the Las Vegas Raiders. Johnson was the biggest beneficiary of the team's switch to Andy Dalton, leading the Panthers in every significant receiving category in the win. He garnered an absurd 14 targets -- nine more than any other Carolina skill player. The long-time Steeler slipped by the Raiders' defense all game, consistently picking up chunks of yardage as they seemingly had no answer for him. Las Vegas had not allowed a third-down conversion of ten or more yards through two weeks until Johnson bucked that trend in the second quarter. He came screaming out of his break on a deep-in route, and Dalton hit him with a strike in the zone's soft spot, converting a 3rd-and-14. The former third-round pick has his arrow pointing up with the Red Rifle under center, and he'll look to keep the good times rolling when Carolina hosts the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson has done next to nothing in his first two games with his new team. Johnson has six targets in each of the first two games but has hauled in just five catches for 34 yards in an uninspiring opening to the season. Johnson was thought of as a potential sleeper late in drafts this season but with Bryce Young and the Panthers' offense looking woeful through two weeks that has not come to fruition. A change to Andy Dalton could provide a lift to Johnson's fantasy outlook. The Toledo product was a target monster with the Steelers at times and if Dalton could get the ball out to Johnson in a timely manner, he could be in store for some more production. Fantasy managers should not give up on the talented receiver yet and Week 3 will offer a good glimpse into his fantasy potential with the quarterback change.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson caught three of his six targets for 15 yards in the team's 26-3 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Johnson once again led the team in targets, but for the second week in a row, was unable to convert it into fantasy production. As it has looked over the past two weeks, it looks unlikely that the Panthers offense will be able to support multiple fantasy viable pass-catching options, let alone one. That being said, an encouraging target share can give fantasy managers some hope that Johnson will be the No. 1 option should Carolina start to produce more effectively on offense. Fantasy managers can look to take Johnson out of lineups and on to the bench for their Week 3 clash with the Las Vegas Raiders, until it is seen that this unit can produce.
