Warren signed his one-year restricted free agent tender with the Steelers on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 4:15 PM Surprise, Surprise, Surprise

Warren received a second-round restricted free agent tender from Pittsburgh in March, which carries a $5.35 million salary for the 2025 season. Signing his tender doesn't necessarily preclude a long-term deal materializing for Warren, but any further negotiations could be heavily swayed by the team's actions, or lack thereof, in addressing the running back position during the 2025 NFL Draft. Coach Mike Tomlin expressed confidence Tuesday in Warren's capabilities of handling lead back duties following the departure of Najee Harris, per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com.

Cook is not present for the start of voluntary OTAs on Tuesday, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 2:34 PM Midnight Madness

Bills general manager Brandon Beane said it's "not fair" to assume Cook's absence at voluntary OTAs is related to his desire for a new contract, adding that "he'll be ready to go" for mandatory offseason activities. Nonetheless, coming off a 2024 campaign in which he scored 18 touchdowns (16 rushing) despite playing just 48 percent of offensive snaps in his 16 regular-season appearances, Cook has been open about his desire for both a substantial extension and increased playing time. Still, Buffalo has Ray Davis entering Year 2, and the team opted to re-sign pending free agent Ty Johnson, indicating some level of commitment to a backfield rotation. How much attention the team plays to the running back position in the 2025 NFL Draft, which kicks off Thursday, could be telling as to Cook's odds of attaining a new deal. He's currently heading into the final year of his rookie contract after having compiled back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.

Cousins is present for the start of Atlanta's voluntary OTAs on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 2:11 PM America's Team

Cousins' attendance at voluntary OTAs is something of a surprise, after his having been benched Week 16 of last season in favor of 2024 first-round pick Michael Penix, who is slated to kick off the 2025 campaign under center. Atlanta could have released Cousins in mid-March to avoid having his $10 million guaranteed roster bonus kick in, but the team opted to keep the veteran quarterback in house as a backup option or trade candidate. However, Cousins' contract includes a no trade-clause which he seems unlikely to waive unless the chance to inherit a starting role elsewhere materializes.

Pittman (back) said Tuesday that he was not required to undergo surgery to address the small fracture in his back he played through in 2024, and that he gained clearance to play in March, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 1:16 PM Quahogs

Pittman expressed confidence that his rehab work has been sufficient to get past his back injury heading into the 2025 season, per James Boyd of The Athletic. Last year, Pittman reported feelings of pain dating back to training camp but managed to suit up for 16 regular-season games, despite brief consideration of landing on IR when the severity of his injury was revealed Week 3. The 27-year-old wideout also said that he's had the opportunity to work out with new quarterback Daniel Jones already, though his schedule hasn't yet overlapped with Anthony Richardson (back), Boyd reports. The Colts have embraced an open competition between Jones and Richardson to determine the No. 1 role for 2025, foreboding a quarterback picture that won't become clearer until training camp at the earliest. Whether Jones or Richardson wins the starting gig, Pittman, Alec Pierce and Josh Downs will be positioned to headline Indianapolis' wide receiver corps.

Purdy is present Tuesday for the start of San Francisco's voluntary offseason program, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 11:47 AM Tampa Tortugas #449

Purdy's rookie deal is currently set to expire after the 2025 campaign, but he and the 49ers remain engaged in talks surrounding a new extension. Both Michael Silver and Dianna Russini of The Athletic report that Purdy's attendance for the start of voluntary OTAs is a sign that contract discussions are moving in the right direction, but this remains a situation that could drag on until later stage of the offseason. Purdy struggled in 2024 compared to his stellar 2023 season, though the context of Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Christian McCaffrey (knee) both missing most of the year must be noted. The 25-year-old signal-caller will have do make do without Deebo Samuel, who has been traded to the Commanders, within his offensive playmaking group in 2025, but standout 36-year-old left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) has confirmed his intent to return for a 16th NFL season.

Kittle is not at team facilities for the start of San Francisco's voluntary offseason workout program, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 11:36 AM MF-T2

Kittle and the 49ers have engaged in conversations about a new extension this offseason, though Michael Silver of The Athletic reports that both sides remain far apart. As things currently stand, Kittle is heading into the final season of the five-year, $75 million contract he inked with San Francisco in August of 2020. The 31-year-old is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and is an undeniably integral piece of the 49ers' passing game, especially with Deebo Samuel having been traded to the Commanders and Brandon Aiyuk (knee) recovering from right ACL and MCL tears. Per Schefter, Brock Purdy is present for the start of voluntary OTAs, and the truth of the matter may simply be that until the quarterback's new deal is ironed out, San Francisco won't have the flexibility to move forward with other contract discussions.

The Bengals and Moss (neck) agreed to terms on a reworked contract Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Monday, April 21, 2025 6:49 PM MF-T2

Moss signed a two-year, $8 million deal with Cincinnati last offseason, but it didn't include any guaranteed money beyond 2024. While he kicked off last year as the Bengals' starting running back, he eventually ceded reps to second-year pro Chase Brown (ankle) and then was shut down after Week 8 due to a neck injury. With guaranteed money included in the reworked contract, there's a sense that Moss is making good progress in his recovery, and assuming he's good to go by Week 1 of the upcoming campaign, he and Samaje Perine will be the primary reserve RB options behind Brown.

Fisk signed his exclusive rights free-agent tender with the Chargers on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Monday, April 21, 2025 5:35 PM Free Agent

The 26-year-old tight end from Stanford will now remain in Los Angeles after spending his 2024 campaign with the Chargers. Fisk played a career-high 198 offensive snaps over nine regular-season contests last year, catching seven of his eight targets for 39 yards. He's also contributed on special teams, logging 151 special-teams snaps over his two years in the NFL. With Fisk returning to the Chargers, he's expected to compete for a depth spot in the tight end corps during the team's offseason activities.

Head coach Andy Reid told reporters Monday that Wiley (knee) is "doing well," Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Monday, April 21, 2025 5:28 PM Free Agent

Wiley tore his ACL during practice early in November of 2024, limiting him to just seven regular-season appearances. In those contests, the TCU product played 88 offensive snaps and caught his only target for seven yards. While Reid did not provide a precise timetable for Wiley's return, the 24-year-old appears to be on track to return for the start of Kansas City's 2025 campaign.

The Falcons signed Stick on Monday.
Monday, April 21, 2025 5:05 PM Free Agent

Stick is a 2019 fifth-round pick who spent the entirety of his NFL career before now with the Chargers. He suited up for five games (four starts) in 2023, completing 63.8 percent of his passes for 1,129 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, but didn't log any regular-season action in 2024. Kirk Cousins currently remains on Atlanta's roster as the backup to Michael Penix, but if the veteran quarterback ultimately does waive his no-trade clause for a chance to compete elsewhere, Stick could get an opportunity to step into the No. 2 role.
