While there's a chance Dare Ogunbowale gets Akers' leftovers out of the backfield, he doesn't offer the same upside for fantasy managers.

This week will be a big indicator for Thielen's future prospects with Dalton as the starter.

Although he did lead the team in yards, his target share wasn't encouraging, falling behind WRs Diontae Johnson, Xavier Legette, and Jonathan Mingo in total targets. Now the Panthers gear up for a matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers, a team that allowed WRs Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers to go for less than 65 yards each in Week 1. Thielen's low usage and Carolina's ineffective passing attack should make fantasy managers avoid him in Sunday's matchup.

Williams easily turned in his best game of the season after not drawing a target in Week 1 and catching just one ball in Week 2. He wound up finishing third on the team in receiving in the Thursday night win as the Jets are slowly ramping up his workload after a torn ACL in 2023. Williams should continue to see more work moving forward, although the reemergence of Allen Lazard as one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets could be a concern for Williams. He will now have a few extra days to rest ahead of a Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos.

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams made his first catch of the season in Week 2, hauling in a 19-yard pass in a win over the Tennessee Titans. He will look to make a bigger impact against the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game. Williams, who tore his ACL early in the 2023 season, is trending in the right direction as he was in on 64.9% of the snaps in Week 2 after playing just 17.6% of the snaps in the season opener. The Patriots have been generous to opposing wide receivers through two weeks and are fresh off allowing both DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to post 100-yard games last week. That being said, until Williams shows he is a bigger piece of the offense, he is just a desperation flex in fantasy.

For now, however, he cannot be trusted in fantasy starting lineups. He will have a short turnaround as the Jets play the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game.
