Terrell Jennings: Practice window closes
Wednesday, February 4, 2026 5:40 PM Free Agent

Jennings' (hamstring) 21-day practice window closed Wednesday, and he will not play in Sunday's Super Bowl against the Seahawks, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

With Jennings ineligible to play against Seattle, it signals that D'Ernest Johnson will likely be elevated from the practice squad to serve as the Patriots' RB3 behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson. Jennings appeared in seven regular-season games this season, rushing 23 times for 73 yards and one touchdown.

Terrace Marshall: Inks deal with Miami
Wednesday, February 4, 2026 5:09 PM Free Agent

Marshall signed a reserve/future contract with the Dolphins on Wednesday.

Marshall will turn 26 years old in June and spent the 2025 campaign bouncing off and on the Eagles' practice squad without appearing in a regular-season contest. The 59th overall pick of the 2021 Draft by Carolina, Marshall enters a Miami wideout room devoid of proven depth behind Tyreek Hill (knee) and Jaylen Waddle.

Malik Willis: Expected to depart in free agency
Wednesday, February 4, 2026 2:11 PM Free Agent

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said Wednesday that the team expects Willis to depart in free agency and land with a team that will allow him to compete, at a minimum, for a starting job, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Willis will become an unrestricted free agent in March due to the expiration of his rookie contract. Given how well he played in relief of Jordan Love across his two seasons with the Packers, all expectations are that the 2022 third-round pick will be highly sought by quarterback-needy teams. Across 11 combined regular-season appearances between 2024 and 2025, Willis completed 70 of 89 pass attempts (78 percent) for 972 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also rushed 42 times for 261 yards and another three scores. Despite Willis' success and development in coach Matt LaFleur's offense, he will likely pursue greater opportunities with another franchise. As such, Willis stands as a high-upside, under-the-radar trade target, specially in dynasty fantasy formats and those that allow multiple starting quarterbacks.

Drake Maye: Throws Monday, unconcerned about shoulder
Monday, February 2, 2026 9:05 PM Passed Out

Maye (shoulder) said he threw "a good bit" Monday and indicated that he "felt great," Zack Cox of the Boston Herald reports.

Maye was deemed questionable on last Friday's injury report due to both a right shoulder issue and an illness, though there have been no suggestions that the star quarterback is at any risk of missing Super Bowl LX this Sunday versus Seattle. He indicated Monday that he threw as much as he would in a typical practice and that he came out of the session with no concerns, emphasizing that he'll "be fine" for the title game. Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels echoed that sentiment, saying that Maye won't have any limitations placed on him as a result of the shoulder issue, per Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston. Maye logged an LP/LP/DNP practice progression last week, but his absence Friday was attributed primarily to the illness he was dealing with. His participation level in practice this week will provide more insight into the extent (if any) that the shoulder issue will be managed.

Brandin Cooks: Gets expanded role with Buffalo
Monday, February 2, 2026 7:54 PM Free Agent

Cooks appeared in 15 regular-season contests with the Saints (10 games) and Bills (five) in 2025 and caught 24 passes (on 36 targets) for 279 yards.

Cooks saw four targets or less in nine of his 10 games with the Saints. He requested a trade from New Orleans but was not moved by the trade deadline, which prompted the Saints to waive the veteran wideout in mid-November. Cooks opted to finish the year off with Buffalo, and his Bills tenure was highlighted by his performance in a Week 17 loss against the Eagles in which he caught four passes (on six targets) for 101 yards. Injuries to the Bills' pass-catching corps resulted in Cooks stepping into a larger role on offense during the postseason, when he logged five catches (on 11 targets) for 78 yards in two games. The 2014 first-round pick will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

Will Grier: Gets future deal with Dallas
Monday, February 2, 2026 7:41 PM Free Agent

The Cowboys signed Grier to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Grier spent the entire 2025 season on the Cowboys' practice squad after failing to beat out Joe Milton for the QB2 job behind Dak Prescott. Grier last saw regular-season action in 2019 with the Panthers (his rookie year), when he completed 28 of 52 passes for 228 yards, zero touchdowns and four interceptions in two games. He'll be on the Cowboys' 90-man roster when the offseason begins, which gives him the opportunity to participate in OTAs and minicamp.

Jake Haener: Inks future deal with KC
Monday, February 2, 2026 7:08 PM Free Agent

The Chiefs signed Haener to a reserve/future contract Monday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Haener didn't take a single snap during the 2025 season while serving as the QB3 behind Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler (finger) in New Orleans. Haener -- a fourth-round selection of the Saints in the 2023 NFL Draft -- appeared in eight games (one start) in 2024, when he completed 18 of 39 pass attempts for 226 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Now in Kansas City, Haener will have the opportunity to earn a reserve QB role behind Patrick Mahomes (knee).

George Pickens: No contract talks with Cowboys yet
Monday, February 2, 2026 12:42 PM Highseas

Dallas has not yet engaged in discussions about a potential new contract with Pickens, who is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Pickens broke out as the Cowboys' leading receiver in 2025, with his 93-1,429-9 line on 137 targets outpacing CeeDee Lamb by six scores and roughly 350 receiving yards. That stands as a notable margin even considering that Pickens played all 17 regular-season games while Lamb suited up for just 14 contests. All expectations are that Dallas will retain Pickens, either via the franchise tag or with a contract extension following the tremendous chemistry he's demonstrated with quarterback Dak Prescott. As Watkins notes, however, the Cowboys' contract negotiations last offseason were tumultuous, culminating in the trade of Micah Parsons (knee), and if Pickens were to hit the open market he'd be one of the most sought-after free agents in the league.

Matthew Stafford: Taking time to weigh playing future
Monday, February 2, 2026 12:26 PM LUTANGCLAN-SF

Rams head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Stafford will take time this offseason to decide whether to return for the 2026 campaign, but the team is "hopeful" the veteran quarterback will decide to play an 18th season in the NFL, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

McVay and GM Les Snead both signed contract extensions with Los Angeles on Monday, providing continuity for Stafford if he decides to return for the final year of his current deal with the team and play out next season. Top wideouts Puka Nacua and Davante Adams also remain under contract for one more year. The 38-year-old signal-caller put together an MVP-caliber showing in 2025 despite nursing an aggravated disk in his back to enter the year, completing 388 of 597 pass attempts for 4,707 yards and a career-high 46 touchdowns, to go with just eight interceptions, while playing all 17 regular-season games. Per Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register, McVay confirmed Stafford will not need any offseason procedures to address that back issue. Given the success the Rams found this season, culminating in a narrow 31-27 loss to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game, it seems likely that Stafford will opt to run it back for at least one more year.

Hunter Henry: Gets early QUEST tag for Super Bowl
Friday, January 30, 2026 8:54 PM JJetta

Henry (rest) is listed as questionable on Friday's injury report ahead of Super Bowl LX against the Seahawks on Sunday, Feb. 8.

Henry was estimated as DNP on Wednesday, was then listed as limited Thursday and finished the week with a designation of full. His injury tag is simply "rest," so not much should be read into the initial questionable label -- in fact, the Patriots appeared to play it safe with their statuses this week, tagging all nine players (including the four who were deemed full participants Friday and the three who were DNPs all week) as questionable. There's nothing at this point to suggest that Henry is actually in any danger of missing the Super Bowl, and next week's New England practice reports should provide much more insight into the health of the roster ahead of the title game versus Seattle.
