Grant Calcaterra: Held to one catch as top tight end
Monday, September 15, 2025 9:29 PM Free Agent

Calcaterra was elevated to the Eagles' No. 1 tight end Sunday against the Chiefs due to Dallas Goedert's knee injury but finished with just one catch for six yards.

Calcaterra outsnapped fellow tight end Kyle Granson 53-34, leaving little doubt that he remains Goedert's top deputy. Goedert has missed an average of five games per season since 2022, so that role should continue to lead to a handful of starts for Calcaterra, but those starts won't necessarily lead to many targets. He was targeted just twice in Week 2.

Jahan Dotson: Just one catch in Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 9:13 PM Free Agent

Dotson was held to one catch for four yards in Sunday's win over the Chiefs.

Dotson was the Eagles' leading receiver in Week 1, catching three passes for 59 yards, but his Week 2 performance is probably more in line with what can be expected going forward. Outside of a Week 18 game in which the Eagles rested their starters, Dotson averaged less than a catch per game last year, and with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith still ahead of him on the depth chart, that's unlikely to change.

Tank Bigsby: No offensive snaps in Eagles debut
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:53 PM Giants Super Bowl Itch TB

Bigsby did not see the field for any offensive snaps in his Eagles debut Sunday against the Chiefs.

Acquired from the Jaguars for a fifth- and sixth-round draft pick at the start of the week, Bigsby was not yet part of the Eagles' offensive gameplan. His only snaps came on special teams. He'll compete with Will Shipley (ribs) and AJ Dillon for the backup role behind Saquon Barkley once he's more integrated with his new team.

Oronde Gadsden: Inactive again Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:52 PM Free Agent

Gadsden (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch for Monday night's AFC West battle against Las Vegas.

Gadsden was also a healthy scratch Week 1 against the Chiefs, so he doesn't appear to be in the Chargers' offensive plans barring an injury ahead of him in the tight-end pecking order. The team will again roll with two tight ends -- Will Dissly and Tyler Conklin -- for Monday night's matchup.

Raheem Mostert: Healthy scratch again
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:49 PM Free Agent

Mostert (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Chargers.

The veteran running back will be in street clothes for a second-straight week. It seems that Mostert is unlikely to suit up on game day unless Ashton Jeanty, Zamir White or Dylan Laube were to miss time due to injury, illness or suspension. Mostert's next chance to play is Week 3 against the Commanders on Sunday, Sept. 21.

A.J. Dillon: Small role as Barkley's backup
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:44 PM Free Agent

Dillon was elevated to the No. 2 running back for Sunday's game against the Chiefs due to Will Shipley's rib injury but carried the ball just three times for 19 yards.

Dillon had at least 178 carries for three straight seasons with the Packers before missing 2024 with a neck injury, but his role in Philadelphia seems destined to be much smaller. He played just eight offensive snaps in the season opener and just nine in Week 2, carrying the ball just three times in each game. It would take an injury to Saquon Barkley for his role to significantly expand.

Brock Bowers: Suiting up Monday, as expected
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:43 PM Highseas

Bowers (knee) is listed as active Monday against the Chargers.

After making an early exit from the Raiders' season-opening win at New England due to a knee injury, Bowers was held out of practice Thursday and Friday before returning to the field Saturday as a limited participant. Coach Pete Carroll told Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee after the latter session that he expected Bowers to suit up Week 2, which now has been confirmed, but it appears he'll be wearing a brace on his left knee, per Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com. Even if he operates with some limitations Monday, Bowers should be a regular target for QB Geno Smith, which resulted in five catches (on eight targets) for 103 yards for him on a 51 percent snap share Week 1.

Jordan Mims: Goes back to practice squad
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:24 PM Free Agent

Mims reverted to Tennessee's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Mims was elevated for Week 2 against the Rams and logged nine special-teams snaps, recording one tackle. Mims' likelihood of being elevated again for Week 3 may hinge on whether Kalel Mullings (ankle) is able to suit up.

Brayden Willis: Returns to practice squad
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:23 PM Free Agent

Willis reverted to the 49ers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Willis failed to reel in his only target while playing six offensive snaps in Sunday's 26-21 win over the Saints. The tight end is eligible to be elevated to the active roster two more times before the 49ers would have to sign him to the active roster.

Cameron Latu: Reverts to practice squad
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:21 PM Free Agent

Latu reverted to Philadelphia's practice squad Monday.

Latu played nine snaps on offense and 15 on special teams during Sunday's victory over the Chiefs but failed to record any stats. The 25-year-old could be elevated again for the team's week 3 matchup versus the Rams should Dallas Goedert (knee) remain sidelined.
