Jayden Daniels: Deemed 'day-to-day' by coach
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:47 PM Jamfs

Coach Dan Quinn said Monday that Daniels is considered "day-to-day" due to the knee injury that he suffered last Thursday at Green Bay, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Quinn added that Daniels underwent an MRI on Friday, and he's "already begun his return to play process with us. ... What does that mean for Sunday [against the Raiders]? I can't tell you that now. I'll share more when we get to Wednesday." After Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Monday that Daniels has a sprained knee, Quinn wouldn't go as far, only calling it a "knee injury," per Commanders writer Ben Standig. Wednesday's practice report will reveal whether Daniels handles any practice reps to start Week 3 prep, but if he isn't able to go this weekend, backup Marcus Mariota is on hand to lead the Commanders offense.

Daniel Bellinger: Gets zero targets Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:43 PM Free Agent

Bellinger did not receive any passing targets Sunday in an overtime defeat against Dallas.

Bellinger now has just one target over the first two weeks of the season. He actually played more snaps on special teams (20) than on offense (19) against the Cowboys, while starting tight end Theo Johnson logged a healthy 84 percent offensive snap share and gathered four receptions on five targets for 34 yards. Johnson has solidified his role as the Giants' top TE early in the campaign, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect Bellinger to have much value barring an injury that propels him up the pecking order.

Theo Johnson: Picks up production Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:38 PM Free Agent

Johnson caught four of five targets for 34 yards in Sunday's overtime loss to the Cowboys.

After catching just one pass for five yards against Washington in Week 1, Johnson was much more productive Sunday. He actually looked to be in line for a bigger final line after a quick start, as he caught two passes for 20 yards on the team's opening drive. Regardless, this was a nice step in the right direction for Johnson, who was on the field for 56 of the team's 67 offensive snaps while backup TE Daniel Bellinger recorded more snaps on special teams (20) than on offense (19), as did No. 3 TE Chris Manhertz (14 and 17, respectively). Johnson will get a tough matchup in Week 3 against a Chiefs team that has surrendered just five receptions to tight ends through two weeks.

Adam Trautman: Hits pay dirt against Colts
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:37 PM Free Agent

Trautman caught all three of his targets for 10 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-28 loss to the Colts.

Trautman found the end zone for the first time this season while playing 62 percent of Denver's offensive snaps, the most of any Broncos tight end. The veteran's saw three targets from quarterback Bo Nix, while Evan Engram was targeted twice. It's possible Engram was being eased back into action following a calf injury he sustained in Week 1, but Trautman has now seen the most playing time of the entire position group in the first two games of the season. It's possible Trautman continues to lead in snap share at the position based on his blocking abilities, but he doesn't see enough work in the passing game to be consistently relevant for fantasy purposes. The 28-year-old will have his next opportunity to build upon his performance when the Broncos visit the Chargers in Week 3.

Jalin Hyatt: Doesn't see field again Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:31 PM Free Agent

Hyatt did not log any snaps Sunday in an overtime loss to Dallas.

Hyatt was the only one of New York's active players who did not play at all in the defeat. It was the second straight week that Hyatt went unused, so it's clear early on that the Giants don't see him as a big part of their offense. Darius Slayton and Malik Nabers logged all but one of New York's offensive snaps in the loss, and Wan'Dale Robinson was on the field for 70 percent of the plays, while both Beaux Collins and Gunner Olszewski participated only on special teams. With that in mind, Hyatt hasn't necessarily slipped below fourth in the pecking order, but the team simply hasn't cared to extend its WR personnel beyond its top three options.

Jordan Mason: In line for more work
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:27 PM CoClimbers

Mason is a candidate for more touches with Aaron Jones (hamstring) potentially being limited or sidelined Sunday versus the Bengals, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Coach Kevin O'Connell relayed the news regarding Jones on Monday, and the situation should gain clarity once the Vikings are required to post Week 3 injury reports, starting Wednesday. In any case, Mason already had a leg up on Jones through two games this season, handling 24 carries for 98 yards and gathering in three of four targets for 15 yards, while Jones notched 13 carries for 46 yards and three catches (on four targets) for 44 yards and one touchdown. Assuming Jones is out this weekend, most of his touches will be gobbled up by Mason.

Darius Slayton: Hauls in 52-yard reception
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:24 PM Free Agent

Slayton caught two of three targets for 61 yards in a Week 2 overtime loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.

Slayton was shut out in the first half but salvaged a decent final line with 61 receiving yards after halftime. Most of that production came on a 52-yard connection with Russell Wilson midway through the third quarter. Despite that big play, it doesn't bode well for his place in New York's WR pecking order that Slayton saw just three targets despite playing all but one of the team's offensive snaps, especially since Russell Wilson aired it out 41 times and gained 450 yards on 30 completions. It was already a given that Malik Nabers would hog the wideout targets for the Giants this season, but it's telling that Wan'Dale Robinson garnered 10 looks of his own and nabbed eight receptions for a career-high 142 yards Sunday. With just five targets (and two catches) through two weeks, Slayton doesn't appear to have established much chemistry with Wilson thus far.

Devin Singletary: Nets zero yards in minor role
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:15 PM Free Agent

Singletary rushed once for four yards and caught his only target for minus-4 yards in Sunday's Week 2 overtime loss to Dallas.

In a significant development for Singletary's role on offense, rookie Cam Skattebo led New York with 11 carries and 45 rushing yards while starter Tyrone Tracy netted 51 yards on nine touches (five rushes and four receptions). Skattebo's effectiveness Sunday will likely earn him more work going forward, while Tracy isn't likely to be phased out of the offense, especially given his skill set as a receiver. That presumably leaves Singletary to fend for scraps, diminishing what was already minimal fantasy viability. Through two weeks, the veteran RB has logged just 14 offensive snaps, tallying five touches (four carries and one catch) totaling a meager nine yards.

Austin Ekeler: Officially on injured reserve
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:15 PM That's What Cheesehead!

The Commanders officially placed Ekeler (Achilles) on injured reserve Monday.

Ekeler went down while running a route in the flat in the fourth quarter of last Thursday's defeat at Green Bay and quickly was ruled out with an Achilles injury. After undergoing the necessary tests, a torn Achilles was confirmed, thereby wiping out the rest of his 2025 campaign. Rookie seventh-rounder Jacory Croskey-Merritt is expected to take on a good portion of the early-down work out of the Commanders backfield moving forward, but Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez also are on hand for any RB reps that linger.

Jake Browning: Looks set for significant run
Monday, September 15, 2025 3:09 PM Free Agent

Browning appears set to take over as Cincinnati's starting quarterback for several weeks, with Joe Burrow (toe) slated to undergo surgery and expected to be facing a three month recovery timetable, ESPN reports.

Browning played admirably in relief of Burrow during Sunday's 31-27 win over the Jaguars, completing 21 of 32 pass attempts for 241 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw three interceptions and rushed in for a game-winning one-yard touchdown on his only carry. The presence of standout WR duo Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins will assist Browning's efforts to produce while stepping up as Cincinnati's starter under center, beginning Week 3 against the Vikings, who may be without J.J. McCarthy (ankle). The Bengals currently have Brett Rypien on the practice squad but figure to add additional quarterback depth in the near future, so while Browning may face additional competition soon, he now becomes a priority add in fantasy formats that allow multiple signal-callers to be started.
