Pierce (groin) returned to practice Tuesday, 93.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

Pierce suffered a groin injury during an Aug. 10 practice and missed Saturday's preseason game. He's unlikely to play in the final preseason contest, but looks to be on track for the start of the regular season.

Horton (ankle) did not participate in Tuesday's training camp practice, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.

Horton is working through an ankle injury that he picked up during the Seahawks' preseason win over the Chiefs this past Friday. The injury doesn't appear to be severe, as head coach Mike Macdonald said after the game that Horton could have returned to Friday's contest if needed. Horton's practice participation over the coming days will be worth monitoring ahead of the Seahawks' preseason finale against the Packers on Saturday.

The Cardinals waived Akharaiyi on Tuesday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Akharaiyi has been cut three times in the past month, twice by Buffalo and now once by Arizona. The undrafted rookie out of Mississippi State has yet to play an offensive snap this preseason.

Jones (concussion) reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Jones was waived with an injury designation by Atlanta on Monday, and he'll now spend the 2025 season on injured reserve unless the Falcons later cut the quarterback with an injury settlement.

Johnson (undisclosed) worked out for the Bears on Tuesday, Aaron reports.

Johnson finished the 2024 season on the Panthers' practice-squad injured list, but he's evidently healthy enough to work out for teams. The 24-year-old has never appeared in a regular-season NFL game.

The 49ers released Abdullah (ribs) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Abdullah was injured during the 49ers' preseason opener back on Aug. 9 and was placed on IR two days later. He's now free to look for work elsewhere.

The 49ers released St. Brown (foot) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

St. Brown was placed on injured reserve back on Aug. 8 with the foot injury, but he's now free to try and find work elsewhere. He turns 29 years old next month and has registered a total of five catches since the beginning of the 2023 campaign.

The Dolphins waived Black on Tuesday.

Black has logged 42 offensive snaps across two preseason games this summer but failed to catch any of his three targets. Black last appeared in a regular-season game back in 2021 with the Jets, catching one pass for 10 yards in his lone appearance.

Guerendo (shoulder) participated in Tuesday's training camp practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Guerendo suffered a shoulder injury in practice in early August, which caused him to miss the 49ers' two preseason games. He was back on the field Tuesday and was given the green light to participate in team drills, and Wagoner relays that Guerendo was heavily involved with the offense and on special teams as a kick returner. Barring any setbacks, the 2024 fourth-rounder is on track to be available for Saturday's preseason finale against the Chargers.

The 49ers placed Taylor (shoulder) on injured reserve Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Taylor suffered a dislocated shoulder in last Saturday's preseason game against the Raiders, and he'll now miss the 2025 season unless San Francisco cuts Taylor with an injury settlement at a later date.
