Fant and the Commanders agreed on a contract Tuesday.

Fant will head to Washington after being let go by the Seahawks in March. The offensive tackle has made 75 career starts with the Seahawks, Jets and Texans. He'll provide the Commanders with an additional veteran option behind starters Laremy Tunsil and Andrew Wylie on the offensive line.

Blue (heel) participated in Tuesday's training camp practice, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Blue missed the Cowboys' first two preseason games while recovering from a bruised heel, but his participation in team drills during Tuesday's practice indicates that he is making progress toward being available for Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons. The rookie fifth-round pick saw some work with the first-team offense prior to his injury, and once he's fully healthy, he'll have the opportunity to compete against Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams for snaps out of the backfield.

The Jaguars waived Lassiter on Tuesday.

Lassiter had signed with the team as an undrafted free agent out of BYU in April but was unable to stand out in a crowded receiver room. He will now look to find another opportunity elsewhere and make his NFL debut during the upcoming campaign.

The Rams waived/injured Williams (undisclosed) on Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Williams may have picked up the injury during the Rams' 23-22 preseason win over the Chargers on Saturday, when he caught two passes for 46 yards and a touchdown while returning two kicks for 40 yards. The nature of his injury isn't clear, but by being waived with an injury designation, Williams would revert to the Rams' IR if he clears waivers, forcing him to miss the entire 2025 season unless an injury settlement is reached.

The Rams waived Torres (ankle) from injured reserve Tuesday with an injury settlement, per the NFL's transaction log.

Torres suffered an ankle injury during the Rams' preseason opener against the Cowboys. He was slated to miss the entire 2025 season when he reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers, but the injury settlement allows the 25-year-old tight end to sign with another team once he's fully recovered from his injury.

The Jaguars signed Harris on Tuesday.

Harris is headed to Jacksonville after having last played with Patriots in 2023, where he carried the ball 16 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in addition to catching three passes for 58 yards. The 24-year-old will face an uphill battle to earn a spot on the team's final roster as they already have a crowded backfield, and he could be a candidate to land on their practice squad.

Houston released Taylor on Tuesday, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Taylor got a combined 10 touches for 29 total yards over the Texans' first two preseason games, but he's heading for free agency ahead of their last preseason contest. He'll have to look for his next opportunity with a different team.

The Texans waived Johnson (hand) with an injury designation Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Johnson broke his hand at some point during training camp, and he'll be out indefinitely while recovering from the injury, per Wilson. Johnson will revert to the Texans' injured reserve if he goes unclaimed off waivers, which would cause him to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Houston. Johnson spent all of last season on the Texans' practice squad but was not promoted to the 53-man roster.

Taylor will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a fracture in his shoulder, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Taylor suffered the injury during the 49ers' preseason game against the Raiders. He was already slated to miss the entire 2025 season after being placed on injured reserve, and the 27-year-old running back will aim to return for the 2026 campaign once he's fully recovered from the procedure.

Ward is expected to play in the Titans' preseason finale Friday versus the Vikings, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Ward and the rest of the starters are expected to participate for the third game in a row, according to head coach Brian Callahan. The quarterback has completed seven of 15 passes for 109 yards and no touchdowns over the first two preseason games, and he will likely be limited to just a few offensive possessions against Minnesota.
