Strand (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Packers.

Strand saw some action in relief of Cooper Rush in the 34-3 loss to Carolina in Week 2. However, he didn't play well, throwing for 59 yards and one interception off 8-for-15 passing, adding two carries for 16 yards. With Michael Penix (knee) and Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) back in the mix, and Rush serving as the emergency signal-caller, Strand's services won't be needed in Week 3.

Bigsby (hamstring) didn't participate in Thursday's practice.

Bigsby was spotted in sweats during the open portion of Thursday's session, and now the reason for his absence has become known. Both Bigsby and fellow reserve RB Will Shipley (foot) were DNPs to kick off Week 3 prep, while Saquon Barkley, who suffered a stinger this past Sunday in Tennessee, was limited. Because all three are banged up to some extent at this point in the week, the overall situation will be watched to get a sense of who among the three may be able to play Monday at Chicago.

Goedert (knee) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.

Goedert didn't return after departing this past Sunday's win in Tennessee due to a knee injury, and Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Monday that the tight end was expected to miss some time due to an MCL sprain. Thus, Goedert's lack of activity Thursday isn't a surprise, but the team has yet to officially rule him out for Monday's contest at Chicago. Assuming Goedert is inactive Week 3, Johnny Mundt, E.J. Jenkins and perhaps newcomer Zach Ertz, who is on the practice squad, will be manning tight end for the Eagles.

Smith didn't practice Thursday due to a hamstring injury.

Smith was spotted in sweats and not pads like most of his teammates during the media-access portion of Thursday's session, and now the reason for his lack of activity has become known. His status will be watched closely Friday and Saturday to get a sense of his odds to play Monday at Chicago.

Rush (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game versus Green Bay.

Rush started for Atlanta in the team's first two games of the 2026 campaign. However, the signal-caller struggled overall, throwing for 229 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions while completing just 56.4 percent of his attempts. With Michael Penix (knee) and Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) back in the equation, Rush will be inactive against the Packers, though he will be available in an emergency situation.

Barkley (stinger) practiced on a limited basis Thursday.

Barkley missed most of the first half of the Eagles' Week 2 win at Tennessee due to a stinger, but he returned in the second half and ended the contest with five touches for 20 yards from scrimmage. He told Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer on Thursday that an MRI on his left shoulder "went well," and during the corresponding session, he was spotted wearing a protective device on his shoulder and neck area, per Zach Berman of The Athletic. Barkley is actually the healthiest of the running backs on Philadelphia's active roster, as both Tank Bigsby (abdomen) and Will Shipley (foot) were held out of drills entirely to begin Week 3 prep. The overall situation bears monitoring in the coming days to see who among the trio will be available Monday in Chicago.

Dallas (toe) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

When Minnesota has all of its key backfield options available, Dallas is expected to play exclusively on special teams, but he'll likely be needed to serve as a passing-down or change-of-pace option at the very least during Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, provided the toe issue doesn't keep him from playing. Jordan Mason (thumb) won't be eligible to return from injured reserve until Week 7, and Aaron Jones -- who handled 23 touches and an 81 percent snap share in the Week 2 win over the Bears -- joined Dallas as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. If Jones ends up sitting out Sunday or has his snaps managed more carefully, Dallas could be in store for a more prominent role after he was limited to eight offensive snaps and three touches in Week 2.

Miller was a non-participant in Thursday's practice due to an illness, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

After being a healthy inactive Week 2 win over the Ravens while the Saints welcomed Alvin Kamara (knee) back from a one-game absence, Miller will now have to overcome an illness as he looks to re-enter the backfield mix Sunday versus the Raiders. Even if he makes a full recovery from the ailment, Miller may need No. 1 back Travis Etienne (hamstring) to sit out the Week 3 game in order to avoid another inactive status. Etienne has been limited in both of the Saints' practices this week, clouding his availability for Sunday.

Santos was a non-participant in Thursday's practice estimate due to a right hip injury.

Santos had a kick blocked in this past Sunday's weather-affected 9-3 loss to the Vikings, but he's otherwise been perfect through the first two weeks of the season, converting on field-goal tries of 40 and 50 yards and going 8-for-8 on extra-point attempts. The Bears don't have any kickers on their practice squad, and Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune notes that the team didn't bring in any kickers for workouts Thursday either, so the expectation is that Santos' hip injury is a minor concern that won't prevent him from playing Monday night against the Eagles.

Meyers (thumb) was a limited participant Thursday.

The Jaguars put a cap on Meyers' reps for the second day in a row, but head coach Liam Coen hasn't provided any indication that the wideout is at any real risk of sitting out Sunday's game against the Patriots while he continues to manage a right thumb injury that dates back to training camp. Meyers played through the thumb issue in the first two contests of the season, recording three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown on three targets.
