Achane would tick down the rankings if that were the case, but would still be a strong play on the back of his athleticism and projected volume.

The veteran was the target on nearly half of Jacoby Brissett's pass attempts, showcasing a strong rapport and sense of trust between the tight end and quarterback. Nevertheless, this outcome may have surprised some fantasy managers who expected a quieter game from Henry after he caught just two passes in the season opener. Henry's big Week 2 game gives him plenty of fantasy intrigue ahead of Week 3, but managers should still temper expectations knowing that the Patriots want to employ a run-first approach this year. He'll look to build on the performance when the Texans take on Chicago in Week 2.

New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye is seeing approximately 30% of the first-team reps at team practices, according to Evan Lazar. This is a significantly higher percentage that backups typically never see. Head coach Jerod Mayo explained that this is part of the development process for the North Carolina product. While fantasy managers should continue to expect Jacoby Brissett to serve as the starting QB, this is a promising sign for Maye's development as he is being given ample opportunities to develop even as a backup. The New England Patriots reportedly hope to sit rookie first-round quarterback Drake Maye behind veteran Jacoby Brissett until their offensive line improves. Brissett barely won the starting gig over Maye in training camp and is starting in the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Patriots were impressed with Maye's command and knowledge of the offense this summer, but they want to put him in the best position to succeed when they throw him in there, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says it will probably be several weeks at least. The 22-year-old third overall selection will be starting games in his rookie year in 2024, but that may not happen right away. When it does happen, the Pats' QB of the future will have more upside than Brissett, but he won't have much to work with on offense and won't be much more than a low-end QB2 option in superflex fantasy leagues.

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill notched a quieter game in the Week 2 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He only received four carries compared to Derrick Henry's 18 and hauled in two receptions on two targets. Hill remains the primary back in passing situations, and the Ravens weren't playing from behind in most of this game. That situation is not likely to change as the season rolls on, so his fantasy value will be dependent on the game script. This offense hasn't been able to find a consistent stride yet, so Hill hasn't been able to get any garbage time opportunities either. In Week 3, the Ravens will hit the road and play the Dallas Cowboys, another tougher defense that will test their offensive potential and could translate to more passing work for Hill.

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill can be left out of fantasy managers' lineups for the team's Week 2 home matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Hill took just one carry for three yards in Baltimore's Week 1 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. He also added 52 yards on six catches and eight targets. The fifth-year RB was heavily involved in the Ravens' passing game while tying for second in the team lead in targets and with the third-most receptions and yards. He was clearly the first up in passing situations for the Ravens, but will be challenging to project for such a role weekly. With backfield mate Derrick Henry to take most of the early-down work -- and project for most of the goal-line carries, too -- the 26-year-old RB will be a volatile, game-script-dependent play. He'll be tough to trust in Baltimore's home opener this Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a career day in New England on Sunday. Smith-Njigba caught 12 passes for 117 yards. Both marks were career highs. It was also Smith-Njigba's first career 100-yard game. Fantasy managers had high expectations for Smith-Njigba coming into this season with a new Seahawks regime. If Smith-Njigba keeps up the trust of quarterback Geno Smith, then this could be the start of a great season for the second-year wide receiver. Smith-Njigba draws a solid matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba came out hot against the Denver Broncos in Week 1 with two receptions on the same drive in the first quarter. Smith-Njigba did not draw a target from that point on and finished with two receptions for 19 yards. Smith-Njigba was on the field for 79% of the offensive snaps but that number might have been inflated because of wide receiver Tyler Lockett coming off a thigh injury. The Seahawks offense did not really click until the second half of the game. Lockett and running back Kenneth Walker III (oblique) enjoyed most of that production. Smith-Njigba will have to hope the offense is productive from the opening kickoff in Week 2. For now, wait and see how Smith-Njigba fares before deploying him in fantasy.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a disappointing outing in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. Smith-Njigba started hot with two receptions for 19 yards in the first quarter. However, Smith-Njigba only earned one more target for the rest of the game. The Seahawks offense as a whole was quiet for the first two quarters and a half. Once the offense got going, it was the Tyler Lockett show in the passing game. Smith-Njigba has a lot of promise in 2024. If the Seahawks offense can play like it did in the second half of Sunday's game, then Smith-Njigba should begin to display solid flex value.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs had a solid day given the lack of passing volume afforded to the Packers' pass-catchers in their 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. Doubs caught all three of his targets for a team-leading 62 receiving yards, capped by a 39-yard strike from starting quarterback Malik Willis early in the fourth quarter. With the Packers only dropping back to pass 19 times and throwing only 14 times, the pass-catchers didn't have too much to work with thanks to the game plan by head coach Matt LaFleur to lean heavily on the run game and an opportunistic defense that forced three turnovers. Doubs and the Packers will head southeast to Nashville to play the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, but Doubs will merely be a flex play in fantasy.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will enter Week 2 with a much different quarterback situation than he for sure anticipated. With Malik Willis the likely starting quarterback for Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts, the entire pass-catching group for the Packers will be downgraded in fantasy, including Doubs. Running the most routes per dropback, most snaps and targets in Week 1, Doubs' production will be at the whim of how the Packers choose to attack the Colts' defense. That will likely be a heavy dose of the running game to protect Willis, who has not shown much in the way of passing efficiency in his third season as an NFL quarterback. Doubs is a low-end FLEX option for fantasy managers, where you're hoping he can get into the end zone.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs put together a modest fantasy effort in the Packers' 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil on Friday night. Doubs led the Packers in targets with seven, catching four of those targets for 50 yards. Of the group of wide receivers, Doubs ran the most routes on the team and also led the receivers with an 87% snap share, per Nathan Jahnke of PFF. Even though Doubs ran the most routes and earned the most snaps, he's still a bit of a risky proposition to start in fantasy, especially with a potential Jordan Love injury at the end of Week 1 to factor in. The utilization for Doubs makes him a bit safer as a player you know will be on the field a ton, but with that safety comes the fact that Doubs was a bit touchdown-dependent last season. Consider Doubs a low-end WR3 for fantasy in Week 2 if Love is the starter at quarterback.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) is considered week-to-week, per head coach Doug Pederson. Engram was a surprise addition to the Jags' injury report after sustaining a hamstring injury during pre-game warmups ahead of Sunday's home tilt against the Cleveland Browns. Jacksonville is now 0-2 on the season and will be without their returning target leader for at least the foreseeable future. In his stead, backup tight end Brenton Strange caught three of six passes for 65 yards, while Luke Farrell caught both his targets for 13 yards. The two will continue to fill the gap in the lineup while Engram is deemed unfit to suit up. Additionally, wide receivers Gabe Davis, Brian Thomas Jr., and Christian Kirk could see more work now that the injury is known ahead of time. The Jaguars will head to Buffalo to take on the Bills in Week 3.

The most likely scenario is that wide receivers Christian Kirk, rookie Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis will see more targets through the air against a tough Browns defense. The 30-year-old Engram had a rough season debut last week as well, catching only one of four targets for five yards in the loss to the Miami Dolphins. There's no guarantee he'll be able to play in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram had a rough Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, posting only one catch for five yards. He did have four targets, which tied for the team lead, but in a lackluster offensive team performance, that isn't saying much. Engram will look to bounce back and show he is capable of playing like his TE2 finish in PPR leagues last year. However, Week 2 may be difficult for the 30-year-old, as he faces a stout Cleveland Browns defense that was elite against the pass last year. Establishing the run seems like the ideal strategy for the Jaguars, but they will have to throw the ball to someone. That leaves the door open for a potential mismatch like Engram to have a solid outing, and maybe catch a touchdown to produce a great fantasy outing. Engram is too talented at a shallow position to consider benching, but his upside is somewhat limited in a tough matchup.
