Jake Bobo: Offer sheet matched by Seahawks
Monday, March 23, 2026 1:18 PM Free Agent

The Seahawks are matching the Jaguars' offer sheet to Bobo, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Bobo is now in line to remain with Seattle on a two-year, $5.5 million deal that includes $4.5 million guaranteed. Bobo caught just two passes in 11 regular-season games with the Seahawks in 2025, and he's on track to remain in a depth role this coming season, while working in a WR corps that also includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed.

Travis Homer: Signing with Steelers
Monday, March 23, 2026 12:36 PM Free Agent

Homer is slated to sign with the Steelers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

In 10 regular-season games with the Bears in 2025, Homer recorded just one carry and three catches, and with the Steelers he'll remain in a depth role in a backfield that also includes Jaylen Warren, Rico Dowdle and Kaleb Johnson. Additionally, Homer could emerge as a core special teamer for Pittsburgh, with Mike DeFabo of The Athletic noting that the 5-foot-10, 211-pounder -- who joined the league as a sixth-round pick by Seattle in 2019 -- is potential kick return option for his new team.

Tommy DeVito: Projected to be Maye's top backup
Monday, March 23, 2026 12:22 PM Free Agent

With the Patriots slated to release Joshua Dobbs, DeVito is now the team's projected No. 2 QB, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

DeVito, who worked as New England's No. 3 signal caller last season behind Dobbs and starter Drake Maye, signed a two-year deal to remain with the team earlier this month. Per Reiss, the base value of DeVito's new contract is $4.4 million and includes incentives that could increase its value to $7.4 million. Though the 27-year-old didn't see any regular-season action in 2025, he did log a total of eight starts during his two seasons (2023 and 2024) with the Giants. With Dobbs no longer in the mix, look for the Patriots to add QB depth as the offseason progresses, possibly via next month's draft.

Joshua Dobbs: Being let go by New England
Monday, March 23, 2026 12:08 PM Free Agent

The Patriots intend to release Dobbs, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

In 2025, his lone campaign with the Patriots, Dobbs served as the team's No. 2 quarterback behind Drake Maye, who started all 17 of New England's regular-season contests. Dobbs was thus limited to 10 passing attempts and 10 carries during his four appearances in that span. In light of the looming move, Tommy DeVito now slots in as Maye's top backup, while Dobbs will look to catch on elsewhere as a veteran signal-caller option with NFL starting experience (including 12 in 2023).

Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Becomes new highest-paid WR
Monday, March 23, 2026 9:39 AM Meet the Robinsons

Smith-Njigba agreed to terms Monday on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension with the Seahawks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Smith-Njigba had his fifth-year option picked up by Seattle in March, but the intent had always been to negotiate a long-term deal for the two-time Pro Bowler. Now, he becomes the highest-paid wideout in league history at an average of $42.15 million annually, including $120 million guaranteed. Smith-Njigba is coming off a career-best 2025 campaign in which he secured 119 of 163 targets for a league-leading 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns across 17 regular-season appearances, plus 17 catches (on 26 targets) for 199 yards and two touchdowns across three playoff contents, including a Super Bowl LX win over New England. The chemistry Smith-Njigba has demonstrated with quarterback Sam Darnold makes him a safe bet to return on expectations as one of the top wide receivers taken in 2026 fantasy drafts, especially in PPR formats.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Fifth-year option picked up by SEA
Friday, March 20, 2026 9:12 PM Meet the Robinsons

The Seahawks exercised Smith-Njigba's fifth-year option for 2027 on Friday.

An obvious no-brainer for Seattle after Smith-Njigba was named Offensive Player of the Year in 2025 after securing 119 of 163 targets for an NFL-high 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns across 17 regular-season appearances. JSN then added another 17 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns on 26 targets across three playoff contests. Through three seasons, Smith-Njigba is a two-time Pro Bowl selection and was a first-team All-Pro last season. With the optioned picked up, Smith-Njigba is set to earn $23.8 million in 2027.

Feleipe Franks: Signs with Carolina
Friday, March 20, 2026 8:49 PM Free Agent

The Panthers signed Franks on Friday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.

It's a homecoming for Franks after he spent the 2024 season with Carolina before spending the 2025 campaign with the Falcons. A special-teams stalwart, Franks appeared in all 17 regular-season contests last season, recording 11 tackles (eight solo) on 299 snaps in kick coverage.

Michael Burton: Visits Cleveland
Friday, March 20, 2026 8:46 PM Free Agent

Burton visited the Browns on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Burton spent the 2025 season on injured reserve and is now 34 years old. With new coach Todd Monken likely implementing a fullback into his offense with the Browns, Burton could be a candidate for a job at some point.

DJ Chark: Retires from NFL
Friday, March 20, 2026 8:43 PM Free Agent

Chark announced his retirement from the NFL after seven seasons Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

A second-round pick by the Jaguars in 2018, Chark had the best season of his career in 2019, catching 73 of 118 targets for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns. All were career highs for Chark, who was a Pro Bowl selection that season. After four seasons with the Jaguars, Chark bounced around the NFL the following four years, spending time with the Lions, Panthers, Chargers and Falcons. Chark failed to make the Atlanta roster out of training camp last summer and never latched on elsewhere. He finishes his career with 216 catches for 3,100 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Jake Bobo: Signs offer sheet with JAX
Friday, March 20, 2026 8:29 PM Free Agent

The Jaguars signed Bobo to an offer sheet Friday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

The terms of the offer sheet aren't yet known, but the Seahawks will have five days to match the offer or let Bobo walk as a restricted free agent. The 27-year-old Bobo has logged just 740 offensive snaps across 45 regular-season appearances over the last three seasons but has produced a 34-323-3 receiving line on 44 career targets. He also caught a 17-yard touchdown in the NFC Championship Game against the Rams in January. Bobo would seem to be no higher than the WR4 or WR5 in Jacksonville behind Brian Thomas, Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington and perhaps Travis Hunter, who is expected to play more cornerback in 2026. Thomas has also been the subject of heavy trade speculation this offseason, though there's been no indication the Jaguars are serious about trading the third-year receiver.
