Purdy-starting managers who somehow survive to see another round in the fantasy playoffs should consider quarterback shopping after this weekend, as he'll draw two tough matchups coming up. He'll get the Dolphins in Miami next week and the Lions at home in Week 17.

Most recently, Los Angeles was shredded by Bills QB Josh Allen to the tune of 50-plus fantasy points during a Week 14 win. The Rams defense will be without starting cornerback Cobie Durant (chest). San Francisco's offense is still hurting, with left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) set to miss his fourth-straight game and rookie running back Isaac Guerendo (foot) questionable, though left guard Aaron Banks (concussion) has been cleared to play after missing two games. Purdy is pretty well set up to have a solid night, making him a low-end QB1 with upside.

The patchwork left side of San Francisco's offensive line stepped up in Week 14, allowing just one sack of Purdy, a good sign moving forward if tackle Trent Williams (ankle) and guard Aaron Banks (concussion) were to miss more time. It's worth noting, Purdy left the game in pain momentarily after being roughed in the second half but re-entered quickly. More importantly, today's domination and connection with Jennings and George Kittle was fresh air for those relying on Purdy. His matchups for the fantasy playoffs aren't great, getting a mediocre Rams pass defense at home on Thursday night in Week 15 before facing two stingy pass defenses -- first in Miami, then at home against the Lions.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. took hold of the lead-back role in Week 15 against the New York Jets. He finished with 85 total yards on 18 touches which consisted of 65 yards on 14 carries and four catches for 20 yards. The 25-year-old back has been mostly overshadowed by fellow back Tank Bigsby, but in this week's matchup with the Jets, he out-touched Bigsby 18 to 11. While it isn't surprising Etienne Jr. was more involved in the passing game, it is surprising he out-carried Bigsby given recent games. That might be because Etienne Jr. has become more efficient at running the ball. In Week 15, Etienne averaged 4.6 yards per carry, while Bigsby averaged 3.8. Etienne Jr. will look to continue separating himself from Bigsby in Week 16 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. was heavily involved in the passing game in Week 14, and that likely won't change in Week 15 against the New York Jets. With Mac Jones under center and multiple passing options out with injuries, Etienne Jr. emerged as a top target, putting up 50 yards on four catches and four targets. Now that Evan Engram is also out for the season, Etienne Jr. could be even more involved in the passing game this week due to the lack of healthy receiving options. The 25-year-old back also got four carries for 20 yards, making him more efficient than teammate Tank Bigsby. If Etienne Jr. can receive even more carries and remain heavily involved in the passing game, he will serve as a decent flex in Week 15 against the Jets.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. served as the pass-catching back and complement to Tank Bigsby in a 10-6 win over the Tennessee Titans. The former first-round back out of Clemson finished with an efficient 20 yards on four carries and 50 yards on four receptions. While it's not ideal for Etienne Jr. fantasy managers that Bigsby out-carried him 18 to four, his fantasy day was salvaged in the passing game. With Mac Jones being much less of a downfield passing threat than Trevor Lawrence, the running backs are expected to be more involved in the passing game. That came to fruition with Etienne Jr., who was second on the team in receptions and receiving yards. Etienne Jr. will look to continue producing in the passing game in a Week 15 clash with the New York Jets.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught 11 of his 14 targets for 108 yards in a 21-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15. Jeudy easily led all Cleveland pass-catchers in targets, receptions, and receiving yards in the blowout loss to the Chiefs while notching the third 100-yard receiving game in his past five contests. The only concern here for fantasy managers rostering Jeudy is that the Browns benched Jameis Winston late in the game after his third interception and turned to second-year QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Head coach Kevin Stefanski would not say who would be his starting quarterback in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals but a switch to DTR would be a negative for the entire Cleveland passing game. Stay tuned.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (knee) has put together an impressive stretch of games since the beginning of November, posting 33 catches for 599 yards and three touchdowns over that span. He will look to stay hot in Week 15's home matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have been dominant against the run this season, allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to running backs, but they are only average against the pass as they are giving up the 15th-most fantasy points per game to the receiver position. Jeudy is in line to keep his recent hot stretch going in a game where the Browns are likely to throw frequently against the Chiefs. A full participant in practice all week despite being listed with a knee injury, treat Jeudy as a mid-range WR2 in fantasy for Week 15.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught five of his six targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. Jeudy got the Browns off to a fast start in the contest, hauling in a 35-yard touchdown to give Cleveland a 7-3 lead in the first quarter. Cleveland's leading receiving in Week 14, Jeudy has been on fire of late with three touchdown catches over his past four contests. The veteran receiver is shaping up as a must-start with the fantasy playoffs approaching next week. He will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 15.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz was targeted four times Sunday against Miami, but finished with just two catches for 13 yards in a 20-12 victory. It was the tight end's second-lowest output of the season after being held to 11 receiving yards against Minnesota in Week 3. In this one, however, every other Texans skill player was in the same boat as Schultz, as the team gained only 181 total yards. The veteran tight end has now finished in the top 10 at his position once in 14 weeks. He and the Texans will look for a more productive day at Kansas City in Week 16.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz should be considered a TE2 as his team prepares to take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. The big tight end finally broke a long touchdown drought in his last outing and has a respectable 16 targets in his past three contests, but also has been limited to three or fewer catches in eight of 13 games this season. The former Stanford Cardinal has consistently been a high-floor, low-ceiling option: he never gets shut out completely, but rarely goes off with a week-changing performance. Against a Miami defense that ranks 17th versus his position, Schultz should be saved only for formats that start more than one tight end.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught 11 of 12 targets for 109 yards and a touchdown in the team's 27-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15. It was a season-best performance for Smith, who set new highs in receptions and yards while securing a touchdown for the second week straight. He played a key role in Philadelphia's aerial success, leading the team in targets and receptions while notching chunk gains of 22 and 20 yards. His short touchdown catch in the second quarter helped the Eagles establish control of the game early. Despite occasional inconsistency stemming from limited opportunities -- this was his first game with over seven targets since Week 3 -- Smith's ceiling was on full display. Heading into a Week 16 road matchup against the Washington Commanders, Smith profiles as a high-upside WR2 for fantasy managers.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) returned from a two-game absence for Sunday's win over the Carolina Panthers. Although he had only four catches for 37 yards, he at least found the end zone, bringing in a four-yard toss from Jalen Hurts in the second quarter. In all fairness, the Panthers defense played better than expected. With that in mind, the 26-year-old had over 1,000 receiving yards last season. While it will be tough for Smith to hit that mark this season, he'll remain a must-start in the Week 15 intrastate showdown versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Desmond Ridder will start in a revenge game against his former team, the Atlanta Falcons, on Monday Night Football. Meanwhile, Aidan O'Connell (knee), who was listed as questionable with a bone bruise in his left knee, is officially inactive and will serve as the emergency third QB. O'Connell was initially feared to have suffered a season-ending knee injury when he was hurt in the Week 14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it ended up being a bone bruise. If he recovers this week, O'Connell could be an option for the Raiders in Week 16 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it might also depend on how Ridder fares against Atlanta. The 25-year-old will be making his first start of the year after going 12-for-18 for 101 yards in relief of O'Connell in Week 14. With limited offensive weapons around him, we're expecting Ridder to struggle to move the ball consistently on Monday.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell (knee) is questionable to play against the Atlanta Falcons for Monday Night Football in Week 15. O'Connell did not participate in practice Thursday, Friday, or Saturday and has an official questionable tag heading into Monday night's contest. He has 899 yards passing and four passing touchdowns with three interceptions this season. Desmond Ridder is listed as the backup quarterback for the Raiders should O'Connell be sidelined on Monday. Ridder has 239 passing yards and a passing touchdown for Las Vegas this season.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell (knee) will not suit up for practice on Friday. This is now back-to-back missed practices for O'Connell as he heads into Monday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. The hope is that O'Connell will be able to play as long as he can get in a limited practice session on Saturday. If he sits, Desmond Ridder would be tasked with making his first start of the season. O'Connell suffered a bone bruise last week, so it's uncertain if he'll even be 100 percent healthy by Monday. Fantasy managers who planned on using O'Connell might want to start looking for a backup plan.

Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out for Monday night's contest against the Minnesota Vikings, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Johnson suffered this concussion during their Week 13 match against the Detroit Lions and has been sidelined since. Johnson was unable to practice all week and will set his sights on returning in Week 16 to face the Detroit Lions. While sidelined, Travis Homer has taken the No.2 role behind D'Andre Swift. During Weeks 8 through 12, Johnson was showing some fantasy upside, especially in the red zone, as he punched in three scores during this five-game span. Fantasy managers should consider grabbing Homer off the waiver wire as the top option, Swift (groin) is listed as questionable for Monday's tilt. If Homer gets the starting nod, he should be viewed as a high-floor RB2 based on volume.

Chicago Bears running backs D'Andre Swift (groin) and Roschon Johnson (concussion) both missed their second straight practice of the week on Friday. With just one more day of practice scheduled on Saturday, it's not looking good for either Swift or Johnson to be active on Monday night against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. Travis Homer (head), the No. 3 back on the roster, is also on the injury report this week, but he's been practicing in full and should be ready for starting duties if both Swift and Johnson are unable to play. Johnson is less likely to play than Swift, but the 25-year-old Swift appears to be in real danger of sitting out. If both RBs are inactive, the Bears will most likely elevate Darrynton Evans from the practice squad to split the backfield with Homer. It would be a situation to avoid for most fantasy managers in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer didn't do much in a Week 15 loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs. Palmer was targeted just three times, making two catches for 10 yards total. It was a rough game for the Chargers offense in general, but Palmer certainly didn't do anything to stand out. The Bolts have a quick rest before taking on the division-rival Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football. Palmer should continue as a boom-or-bust type option without much upside.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer could have a big role on offense for a second game in a row in a Week 15 game against the Tampa Bay Bucs. The Bucs defense has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing outside wide receivers, so Palmer would be in a good spot to thrive if he ends up playing with only Quentin Johnston and without McConkey.

Palmer took over as quarterback Justin Herbert's favorite target with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) out and other Chargers pass catchers missing time throughout the game. A similar game plan could take place next week against Tampa Bay, where Palmer will be around the WR3/4 border if McConkey can't play.

With Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens (hamstring) being ruled out for a second straight game, Van Jefferson will have an increased role again in a Week 15 battle on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. In the Week 14 win over the division-rival Cleveland Browns last week with Pickens sidelined, Jefferson played a team-high 74 percent of the offensive snaps, but it resulted in just one catch on one target for a 10-yard touchdown reception, his second of the season. The 28-year-old pass-catcher will no doubt be on the field plenty this weekend in Philly, but expecting him to put up fantasy relevant numbers is unrealistic in Pittsburgh's low-volume passing attack against an Eagles defense that has been stingy against pass-catchers in 2024. Jefferson has caught only four of six targets in the last three weeks.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Van Jefferson converted his lone target into a 10-yard touchdown reception during Sunday's Week 14 victory over the Cleveland Browns. With George Pickens (hamstring) inactive, Jefferson played 74 percent of the offense snaps, which was his highest mark since Week 8. Although he was targeted just once, the 28-year-old took advantage of his lone opportunity and scored a third-quarter touchdown that gave Pittsburgh a two-possession lead over its divisional opponent. Jefferson's reduced offensive role keeps him off the fantasy radar, especially with Pickens looking like he'll return to action in Week 15.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Van Jefferson could be an intriguing deep-league play this weekend when he squares off against the Cleveland Browns. The 28-year-old typically wouldn't garner much fantasy consideration, considering his low-volume role in the Steelers' offensive attack. However, he could be featured more this weekend against their division rivals if fellow wideout George Pickens (hamstring) is unable to play. Pickens, a late-week addition to Pittsburgh's injury report, is now labeled as questionable for the home outing. Jefferson is the team's second-leading snap-getter, and while it has yet to amount to much in the box score -- he's still capable of snagging a long bomb or two from quarterback Russell Wilson. Additionally, Cleveland's defense is beatable on the back end, letting up the seventh-most fantasy points per game to WRs (37.9). If Pickens is out, Jefferson should be in line for an enhanced role.
