Josh Jacobs: Court date moved up
Friday, September 4, 2026 2:34 PM The GR8 G8R

Jacobs' next court date has been moved up from Nov. 17 to Sept. 10, Michael Gross of Fox 11 Green Bay reports. Jacobs is expected to be represented by his attorney and won't personally appear at the hearing.

The move of the court date is going to lead to speculation about if and when he'll receive discipline from the NFL, especially if a plea deal is announced. But that has not been divulged so far. At the very least, there may soon be more clarification about what the next step in the process is for Jacobs, who remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List.

Jaxson Dart: Feeling confident in new offense
Friday, September 4, 2026 2:30 PM Momma Hold My Trophy

Dart said Tuesday that he feels "so much better" now than he did during the offseason program in new offensive coordinator Matt Nagy's scheme, which has the quarterback playing more under center, Darryl Slater of NJ.com reports.

As a rookie in 2025, Dart completed 63.7 percent (216 of 339) of his passes for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions while adding 86 carries for 487 yards and nine more TDs. But not many of his snaps occurred under center as then coach Brian Daboll attempted to cater to Dart's style of play. Perhaps the change in schemes will help Dart stay out of harm's way more often after he had five concussion checks last season. In any case, it remains to be seen if he'll have top WR Malik Nabers available Week 1 as he closes in on his recovery from last year's torn ACL.

Malik Washington: First-team billing on depth chart
Friday, September 4, 2026 2:09 PM FarmerTedPS

Washington is listed as a starting wide receiver on the Dolphins' unofficial depth chart.

Miami almost entirely retooled its receiving corps this offseason, releasing Tyreek Hill in February, trading Jaylen Waddle to the Broncos in March, signing Jalen Tolbert in free agency and then drafting three WRs (Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell and Kevin Coleman) in the 2026 Draft. Washington is the only holdover from 2025, a season in which he hauled in 46 of 65 targets for 317 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing 17 times for 110 yards and one more TD. In addition to an expected increase in snaps while working with new QB Malik Willis, Washington again will serve as the team's primary kick returner and perhaps on punt returns as well.

Malik Willis: Logs one appearance in preseason
Friday, September 4, 2026 1:50 PM The GR8 G8R

Willis made just one appearance during the Dolphins' three-game preseason slate.

Willis started the team's exhibition opener at Washington on Aug. 14, leading a 14-play drive that culminated in a De'Von Achane one-yard TD run. During the possession, Willis was a crisp 4-for-5 passing for 43 yards and also had two carries for nine yards. He parlayed a successful two-year stint as Jordan Love's backup in Green Bay into a three-year, $67.5 million contract this offseason, and while Willis' brief game action last month was encouraging, outside of top RB Achane, Miami doesn't boast much in terms of skill-position talent, as Malik Washington will be the No. 1 WR to begin the 2026 season.

Chig Okonkwo: Listed as first-teamer in depth chart
Friday, September 4, 2026 1:31 PM Lone Wolf Dynasty SF

Okonkwo is listed as a starting tight end on the Commanders' unofficial depth chart.

After a four-year stint to begin his career in Tennessee, Okonkwo moved on to Washington via free agency this offseason, agreeing to a three-year, $27 million contract. Considering the investment made in him, it's no surprise he's listed as a first-teamer ahead of the 2026 campaign, and with lacking competition behind him for targets in the form of John Bates (hamstring), Ben Sinnott (oblique) and Colson Yankoff, Okonkwo is poised to serve as the top TE for QB Jayden Daniels.

Jayden Daniels: One possession in preseason
Friday, September 4, 2026 1:22 PM Stoners

Daniels played just one possession during the Commanders' three-game preseason slate, failing to complete his only pass.

Daniels suited up for preseason Week 2 at Detroit, but Washington's offense quickly went three-and-out via the aforementioned incompletion, a sack for a loss of 10 yards and an 11-yard Kaytron Allen run. Daniels otherwise remained on the sideline for the rest of exhibition season. After an outstanding rookie campaign in 2024, he endured an injury-plagued 2025, completing just 60.6 percent of his passes for 1,262 yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions and rushing 58 times for 278 yards and two more TDs in seven appearances.

Tank Dell: Takes pay cut from Houston
Friday, September 4, 2026 11:55 AM UDFA All-stars

Dell (knee) agreed to take a pay cut from the Texans on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Dell was scheduled to collect $3.624 million, but he'll now make just over $1.7 million in 2026. Dell missed the entirety of the 2025 campaign after a catastrophic knee injury suffered toward the end of the previous season. He's now opening this season on injured reserve and won't be eligible to play until Week 5 at the earliest.

Jerry Jeudy: Listed as starting wideout
Friday, September 4, 2026 11:51 AM Free Agent

Jeudy is listed as a starting wide receiver on Cleveland's initial depth chart ahead of the team's Week 1 game against the Jaguars.

It comes as no surprise after the Browns cut Cedric Tillman at the end of training camp. Jeudy is listed as a starter alongside rookie wideouts KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston. Jeudy displayed no chemistry with Shedeur Sanders last season, as the veteran wideout finished 2025 with just 50 catches for 602 yards and two touchdowns on 106 targets. His 47.2 percent catch rate was fifth worst out of 197 qualified pass catchers, and of the 38 players in the NFL to see at least 100 targets, Jeudy's 602 yards were just two more than Jake Ferguson at the bottom of the list. Concepcion is expected to become the go-to target in Cleveland, with Boston operating as the big-bodied X receiver. Jeudy will face far more competition for targets.

Mason Taylor: Starter on initial depth chart
Friday, September 4, 2026 11:44 AM Dreamers

Taylor is listed as a starting tight end on the Jets' initial depth chart ahead of a Week 1 game against the Titans.

New York listed both Taylor and Jeremy Ruckert as starters at tight end, notably omitting first-round rookie Kenyon Sadiq (abdomen) after he missed most of the summer recovering from hernia surgery. Sadiq is on track to play Week 1 against Tennessee, but he's going to have to earn his spot over Taylor and Ruckert. Taylor fits the mold more as a traditional in-line Y tight end, while Sadiq profiles more as an F tight end, functioning as a big slot receiver. Taylor could be a factor in the red zone this season.

Adonai Mitchell: Listed as starter opposite Wilson
Friday, September 4, 2026 11:39 AM SF Orphan Takeover

Mitchell is listed as a starting wide receiver on the Jets' initial depth chart ahead of a Week 1 matchup against the Titans.

It's no surprise after Mitchell showed playmaking ability with New York following his midseason trade from the Colts last season. In eight games with the Jets, Mitchell caught 24 of 58 targets for 301 yards and two touchdowns. That 41.4 percent catch rate ranked second worst in the NFL out of 197 qualified pass catchers, but better quarterback play this season in the form of veteran pickup Geno Smith should help improve that number. Mitchell has big-play upside and is dripping with talent; he just needs to get out of his own way sometimes. He's worth a late-round flier in fantasy and makes for an intriguing best-ball selection.
