Love's move to injured reserve was anticipated after he was diagnosed Tuesday with a right high-ankle sprain.

With Bourne already expected to miss the rest of the season due to a fractured right tibia, Tuesday's move formally clears a roster spot for Arizona.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said Tuesday that Huntley (toe) could be a candidate for injured reserve, Sam Cohn of The Baltimore Sunreports.

Following Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Bills, Minter confirmed that Lamar Jackson required thumb surgery and was ticketed for IR, and Huntley looks like he could join Jackson in being deactivated. Minter said that he expects to know by Wednesday whether Huntley will require an IR stint, as the Ravens are presumably still waiting on test results on the signal-caller's right toe injury. At the very least, Huntley is tracking toward sitting out Thursday's game against the Jaguars, as Minter announced Tuesday that undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano will serve as the Ravens' Week 9 starter.

The undrafted rookie out of UConn will make his first NFL start with Lamar Jackson (thumb) headed for injured reserve and Tyler Huntley (toe) unlikely to be available. After both Jackson and Huntley made early departures in Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Bills, Fagnano was pressed into action for the first time in his career and finished with 10 completions on 21 attempts for 91 yards and an interception. Fagnano emerged from the contest with a right ankle injury and was sporting a heavy brace during Tuesday's practice, but he'll be healthy enough to direct the offense for at least one week. Expect the Ravens to lean heavily on the Derrick Henry-led ground attack to help take the pressure off the inexperienced Fagnano, at least for as long as the game script allows for it.

Roush went without a target while playing 37 of the Bears' 70 snaps on offense in Monday's 34-17 win over the Seahawks.

With Cole Kmet landing on injured reserve with a season-ending knee injury, Roush stepped into an increased role on offense, as his 53 percent snap share representing a season-best mark. However, the added playing time didn't translate to any involvement in the passing game, as Roush ran just 12 routes on the night. The Bears' frequent usage of two-tight-end formations should continue to prop up Roush's snap counts, but he's likely to be utilized mainly as a blocker when he's on the field.

Brooks (core) was seen working off to the side during the Panthers' unofficial practice Tuesday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

The Panthers haven't yet opened Brooks' 21-day practice window, but that might happen soon after head coach Dave Canales said Monday that the young running back would "potentially" be designated for return from injured reserve this week. Brooks hasn't played since Week 2 after undergoing core-muscle surgery, so he'll likely need to turn in multiple full practices before the Panthers are comfortable clearing him for game action. Once he's activated from IR, Brooks will likely handle a supporting role out of the backfield behind starter Chubba Hubbard.

Huntley (toe) wasn't spotted practicing Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter already announced Monday that Huntley was "probably" not going to be ready to play in Thursday's game against the Jaguars, so the 28-year-old signal-caller is unlikely to practice at any point leading up to the contest. Joe Fagnano (ankle) was seen taking part in practice Tuesday as at least a limited participant and appears to be trending toward making his first NFL start Thursday, with either the newly signed Kedon Slovis or practice-squad member Austin Reed serving as his top backup. With Lamar Jackson (thumb) headed for injured reserve and set to miss at least the next four games, Huntley could be cleared to take over as the starting quarterback as soon as Week 10 against the Chargers, provided he bounces back well from his right toe injury.

Love was diagnosed Tuesday with a right high-ankle sprain, which is expected to send him to injured reserve and keep him out for 4-to-5 weeks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Love was available to play Week 8 after missing the Cardinals' previous two games due to a left ankle issue, but he ended up exiting Sunday's 33-30 overtime win over the Cowboys late in the first quarter after tweaking his opposite ankle. Though the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft was cleared to play in advance of Week 1 after previously sustaining a right high-ankle sprain in the preseason, he won't be as fortunate this time around now that he's sprained the same ankle for the second time in less than three months. The projected 4-to-5-week recovery timeline gives Love a chance at returning to action when first eligible to return from IR on Dec. 6 against the Eagles, but at least for the next four games, Tyler Allgeier looks poised to serve as Arizona's lead back. The Cardinals could also look to bring James Conner (foot) back from IR at some point during that four-game stretch.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said Tuesday that Shaheed (knee) has a chance to play Sunday against the Cardinals, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Shaheed was sidelined for the first time all season in Monday's 34-17 loss to the Bears, after his knee injury kept him from practicing throughout the week. In Shaheed's absence, Tory Horton handled elevated snaps as the Seahawks' No. 3 wideout behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp, while George Holani served as the team's top kickoff returner. Shaheed may need to turn in a full practice at some point during Week 9 prep to put himself on track to return to action Sunday.

Fagnano practiced Tuesday "with a significant guard/brace on his right ankle," Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

The Ravens are seemingly being careful with Fagnano's injured ankle, but he was able to get out there Tuesday -- two days prior to his team's Week 9 matchup with the Jaguars. With Lamar Jackson (thumb) headed to injured reserve and Tyler Huntley (toe) unlikely to go Thursday, the banged-up Fagnano is the favorite to start for Baltimore in Week 9.
