The 2021 FFPC Championship Round Has Arrived

3-Week Sprints Start Tomorrow

More Than $5,000,000 Decided Over Next Three Weeks

Congrats to all of the teams in both the FFPC Main Event and the Footballguys Players Championship this past weekend that were able to snare their individual league crown. I also wish the best of luck to all playoff teams in the ancillary, VP Money, dynasty and satellite leagues this coming week as well.

With Week 15 upon us, every single classic format FFPC and FPC league has now entered the playoff stage of the season, so it's going to be a fun three-week ride leading into the holidays. The FFPC, FPC, Consolation, and Toilet Bowl leader boards are all updated as well, so you can see where you currently stack up among the rest of the field.

This week begins the most thrilling three weeks of fantasy football. More than $5,000,000 will be awarded in the FFPC's two major tournaments alone. Weeks 15 through 17 will determine the $500,000 FFPC Main Event winner and the Footballguys Players Championship $500,000 winner, as well as countless other prize winners. Championship round winners will be determined based on each team's combined total points scored during weeks 15, 16 and 17 added to its one-game average from the regular season. Good luck to you all!

Our World Famous Challenge Returns

Out of this year's Championship Round? Not to worry! Registrations are live for the 2021-22 World Famous FFPC Playoff Challenge. Don't forget that you'll be able to apply your regular season winnings in your account right now to the Playoff Challenge as well.

The Challenge will have 12 starting roster spots rather than the 10 starting roster spots in a typical FFPC starting lineup. The two added starting roster spots will both be FLEX spots (Flex can be RB, WR or TE). With fourteen total playoff teams and 12 starting roster spots, each entrant will need to fade two teams, which has always been the case for the FFPC Playoff Challenge.

The main details of the Challenge are listed below:

  • Entry fee: $200 per team
  • Contest capped at a maximum of 7,250 entries
  • $500,000 Grand Prize
  • $1,289,250 in guaranteed prizes paying down to 850th place
  • Contest runs from the start of the NFL playoffs through the Super Bowl
  • Each team consists of 12 players in an FFPC starting roster format (plus two additional flexes)
  • Each team chooses from 14 playoff teams but only 1 per team
  • All rosters will be locked on Saturday, January 15th at 4:35 pm ET
  • No roster adjustments will be allowed even for games starting later
  • For more details, see the full rules and payout structure on the contest page linked right here.

Prizes in Player Accounts

Congrats once again to all regular season winners! Regular season prizes in all leagues have been distributed, and here is what you need to do to get your cash:

  • If you qualified for a cash prize in any league/event, it is now in your FFPC account. No further action is required on your part.
  • If you qualified for a prize with a choice of either cash or entry into one of next year's FFPC events, a Prize Selection window will appear on your MyTeams page. You can make your selection immediately or delay your decision to a later time. Once your selection is made, your prize will be placed into your FFPC account.

PRIZE WITHDRAWAL PROCESS

  • You are now able to submit your withdrawal request.
  • All prize distribution by the FFPC is processed via check by mail or ACH transfer ONLY.
  • Any cash withdrawal of $600 or more will require a W-9 to be filled out and will generate an IRS Form-1099 for the 2021 year.
  • Please fill out your online W-9 when requesting the cash during the online withdrawal process.
  • Any funds left in your FFPC account can be used for next year's registration. Only funds that are requested for withdrawal are subject to filling a W-9 form.
  • Prizes can be used for the World Famous FFPC Playoff Challenge

PRIZE-SPLITTING BETWEEN CO-MANAGERS

  • The FFPC offers prize splitting between owners and co-managers for a cash prize total of $2,000 or more.
  • The primary owner will always remain the sole legal prize winner and MUST authorize payment to his co-manager by writing/email. The primary owner may be required to fill out and sign an authorization form indicating the name & address of his co-manager and the amount he should receive. Both the primary owner and the co-manager will each fill out a W-9. Once these documents are received and approved by the FFPC, prizes will be released to both parties. At year’s end, both the primary owner and the co-manager will each receive IRS Form-1099 for their prize awards.
  • Please email Chris Lambert at chris@myffpc.com so she can help you initiate the prize-splitting process.

Waivers For Classics & Dynasties

Owners that made the playoffs in FFPC Classic Satellite and Dynasty leagues still have waivers for Weeks 15, 16 and 17. Please remember to place your bids by tonight at 10 p.m. ET. Waivers will also be processed on Friday as well. Again, this is only for FFPC Classic Satellite and Dynasty leagues. The waiver wires for the Main Event and the Footballguys Players Championship are locked for the remainder of the season.

FFPC Big Payback League Leaders

In the Big Payback League #1 after 14 weeks of play, Brian Owens (above, top) is crushing it with a 12-2 record and 47 victory points. Notching a 184.7 score, Owens' No Mercy squad was led by Josh Allen's 39.3, Cooper Kupp's 31.3, Najee Harris' 25.4 and Javonte Williams' 21.3 points and rarned a first-round bye in the playoffs along with Bill and Don Ezzell's Mr Bill squad.

Over in the Big Payback #2, Albert Chapman's Geckos is leading the other 11 teams with 37 victory points. Mark Andrews (34), Tom Brady (33.75), Hunter Renfrow (29.7) and the Tennessee Titans defense (23) were the stars for the Geckos in Week14, as the squad moves on to a first-round playoff bye along with Seth Kahler and Austin Martin's team.

Finally, in Big Payback #3, Doug Moe and Doug Moe, Jr. have managed their entry to the top with 40 victory points, one VP ahead of Kevin and Brad Brophy's OasisNeals entry. The Moes got big contributions from James Conner (33.5), Melvin Gordon (23.1) and Chris Godwin (20.5) en route to a 177.1 score. The Moes and Brophys will take this week off thanks to their top seeded teams in the playoffs.

The Big Payback leagues were held at Planet Hollywood at the 2021 FFPC Live Events in September. The champions in these leagues will pocket $25,000 at the end of the year, with $15,000 going to second and $5,000 to third after the top two regular season teams are awarded $5,000 for their efforts. Good luck to all the players the rest of the way!

Thanks for reading, everyone! Now you can feel free to register your teams in both the 2021-22 FFPC World Famous Playoff Challenge as well as the 2021-22 Footballguys Playoff Challenge!

Good luck in the opening week of the Championship Round, players, and I'll see you in the chat room with Ferrell Elliott on Friday night!

Sincerely,

Eric Balkman
