The Rams allowed 4.52 yards per carry during the regular season and struggled to contain Barkley's downhill running style, as 162 of his 255 yards in their last matchup came after contact. While the Rams' defense has tightened recently, Barkley remains a near-lock for high-volume usage behind one of the NFL's best offensive lines. Expect him to dominate touches and provide the usual production as the Eagles aim to punch their ticket to the NFC Championship. He had been listed as doubtful, so his absence this weekend was widely expected. After all, the Eagles' plan to rest many key starters has been well-documented. The 27-year-old finishes his first season with the Eagles just 100 rushing yards shy of Erick Dickerson's single-season record. Although he didn't break the record, Barkley still had a phenomenal season with 2,005 rushing yards, 278 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns, making him the clear RB1 in fantasy football. In that first matchup, Jackson posted 156 yards and two touchdowns on 13-for-18 throwing, and six carries for 54 yards and another touchdown. Both teams have changed considerably since then, but the Ravens' run game definitely hasn't slowed down. The game is supposed to be one of the coldest that Jackson has ever played in which means it could turn to more of a running script again, but it's hard to get better than Jackson in DFS formats. The option should be featured quite heavily while Rashod Bateman can find himself open for a deep strike. Lamar Jackson Draws Rival Steelers In First Round Thursday, January 9, 2025 7:34 PM Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson drew a first-round matchup with the longtime rival Pittsburgh Steelers in what he hopes will be a different playoff experience. Jackson and company split the season series with the Steelers but won via blowout in their last game at home. That was the first non-COVID era home game he started against the Steelers and he registered 207 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception on 15-for-23 throwing with nine carries for 22 yards. Since their bye week, Jackson has thrown for at least two touchdowns in each game and has averaged 220.5 passing yards with 59.3 rushing yards. Signs point to much of the same which would make Jackson the big-time favorite for any and all DFS lineups in this showdown. Lamar Jackson Eclipses 4,000-Yard Mark In Season Finale Sunday, January 5, 2025 9:47 AM Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson led the team to another AFC North title while dismantling the Cleveland Browns by a score of 35-10 on Saturday. The two-time MVP finished the game with 217 yards and two touchdowns on 16-for-32 throwing and nine carries for 63 yards. This game put him over the 4,000 passing-yard mark for the first time in his career and he became the first QB to ever finish with at least 4,000 passing yards and 800 rushing yards. He also leads the league in seven different passing stats according to pro-football-reference. Jackson and company will host a first-round playoff game once the matchups are decided. Allen's tendency to spread the love in the passing game has prevented any Buffalo receiver from truly breaking out. Shakir is reliable for a double-digit PPR performance but there isn't a high ceiling for him in the divisional matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Khalil Shakir’s Slot Role Could Benefit Him On Wild-Card Weekend Friday, January 10, 2025 4:12 PM Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir was Josh Allen's top pass-catching weapon throughout the regular season. Shakir led the Bills in receptions (76) and receiving yards (821). He'll likely be utilized often against the Denver Broncos in the first round of the playoffs. Because he lines up in the slot on over 70% of his offensive snaps, it will help him better avoid shutdown corner Pat Surtain II. However, because Allen tends to spread the love in the passing game, none of the Bills receivers are top-tier options for fantasy lineups this weekend.
