Anthony Firkser: Blanked in Week 17
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:26 PM

Firkser failed to reel in his only target in Thursday's 23-10 loss to the Vikings.

Firkser was unable to secure a pass for the second time in three weeks and the third time over six contests since making his season debut Nov. 23. The tight end once again split time with Shane Zylstra in Week 17, and Firkser did garner a target while Zylstra did not. Firkser will have one more chance to reach the end zone for the first time since 2021 when the Lions travel to face the Bears on Jan. 4.

Raheem Mostert: Questionable for Week 17
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:22 PM

Mostert (ankle/knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Mostert was listed as a DNP for the first two practices of Week 17 prep due to ankle and knee injuries, but the veteran running back was able to practice in a limited capacity Friday to earn the questionable tag for Sunday's home game. If Mostern is unable to play, then Tre Tucker and Dylan Laube would be the main returners on kickoffs. Laube and Zamir White would also be in line for more rotational snaps out of the backfield behind Ashton Jeanty.

Shane Zylstra: No production in Week 17
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:21 PM

Zylstra did not garner a target in Thursday's 23-10 loss to Minnesota.

Zylstra went without a target for the second time in three games since returning from injured reserve. The tight end maintained a slight lead in offensive workload over Anthony Firkser, logging 42 offensive snaps to Firkser's 35, though the latter did garner a target. Zylstra will look to finish off the regular season on a higher note when Detroit heads to Chicago on Jan. 4.

River Cracraft: Reverts to practice squad
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:21 PM

Cracraft reverted to the Commanders' practice squad Friday.

Cracraft made his regular-season debut Thursday, logging a single special teams snap as a gunner. Now back on the practice squad, the wide receiver is eligible to be elevated for the Commanders' Week 18 contest against the Eagles.

Jack Bech: Has back injury, iffy for Week 17
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:17 PM

Bech (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Bech was a late addition to Friday's injury report as a limited practice participant due to a back issue, which puts the rookie second-rounder in jeopardy of missing Sunday's contest. Bech's fantasy output has been inconsistent for most of the season, but he has been more involved in the Raiders' offense as of late, accumulating 12 catches (on 15 targets) for 132 yards over Las Vegas' last four games. Tyler Lockett, Alex Bachman, Dont'e Thornton and Shedrick Jackson would be in line for more snaps on offense if Bech is ruled out for Week 17.

Isaac TeSlaa: Another trip to end zone in loss
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:16 PM

TeSlaa caught three of four targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 23-10 loss to the Vikings.

TeSlaa was able to reach paydirt for the second straight game and fourth time in five contests, securing a four-yard score in the second quarter. The wide receiver has now reeled in 15 of 26 targets for 221 yards and six touchdowns over 16 contests in his rookie campaign. TeSlaa appears to be a significant red zone threat at the professional level, and he'll be a guy to keep an eye on in 2026.

Jason Brownlee: Reverts to KC practice squad
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:15 PM

Brownlee reverted to the Chiefs' practice squad Friday.

Despite being elevated for Week 17, Brownlee did not participate in Thursday's loss to the Broncos. With Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Jalen Royals all active and healthy, the Chiefs must not have felt Brownlee's presence would be required to replace an injured Rashee Rice (concussion), Tyquan Thornton (concussion), or Nikko Remigio (knee).

Giovanni Ricci: Reverts to DET practice squad
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:11 PM

Ricci reverted to the Lions' practice squad Friday.

Ricci played 50 percent of the Lions' offensive snaps in Thursday's loss to the Vikings. The tight end had just one target and no receptions, primarily serving as a blocker for the team. Thursday marks the 29-year-old's third elevation, meaning if the Lions would like to use Ricci in Week 18, they would have to sign him to the active roster.

Michael Bandy: Reverts to practice squad
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:05 PM

Bandy reverted to the Broncos' practice squad Friday.

Bandy was elevated to the active roster ahead of Thursday night's 20-13 win over the Chiefs. The wide receiver caught both of his targets for 14 total yards in his seven offensive snaps. While Bandy continues to see some use, he remains a fleeting target behind Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, and Lil'Jordan Humphrey.

Moliki Matavao: Signed to Saints' active roster
Friday, December 26, 2025 6:02 PM

The Saints signed Matavao from the practice squad to the active roster Friday.

The move corresponds with the Saints placing fellow tight end Foster Moreau (ankle) on injured reserve. Matavao was selected by the Saints in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but the UCLA product has bounced back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster. He figures to be the Saints' TE4 behind Juwan Johnson, Taysom Hill and Jack Stoll over the final two games of the regular season.
