Brenton Strange: Limited to three catches in Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 12:08 PM
Strange secured three of five targets for 17 yads during Sunday's 31-27 loss to Cincinnati.
Strange again operated as Jacksonville's clear No. 1 tight end, playing 90 percent of offensive snaps, but it was wideouts Dyami Brown (5-57-1) and Parker Washington (5-76-0) who stepped up in the receiving game with both Brian Thomas and Travis Hunter held in check for a second straight week. Nonetheless, Strange has now drawn nine targets through two weeks, solid enough volume to put him on the radar as a back-end TE1 for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Texans.

Parker Washington: Leads team in receiving
Monday, September 15, 2025 12:01 PM
Washington secured all five of his targets for 76 yards during Jacksonville's 31-27 loss to Cincinnati on Sunday.
Washington wasn't targeted in Week 1, but he led the Jaguars in receiving yards in a Week 2 loss that saw Brian Thomas turn 12 targets into just four catches for 49 yards and Travis Hunter be limited to just three grabs for 22 yards on six targets. It was No. 3 man Dyami Brown who scored the only one of Trever Lawrence's three touchdowns to go to the wide receiver position, though, finishing with a 5-57-1 line on seven targets. Washington's production came while playing just 24 percent of offensive snaps, so while he's unlikely to repeat a similar performance Week 3 against the Texans, there's a chance his workload increases after such a strong showing.

Dyami Brown: Scores in Week 2 loss
Monday, September 15, 2025 11:54 AM
Brown secured five of seven targets for 57 yards and a touchdown during Jacksonville's 31-27 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
Brown finished second on the team in terms of receiving yards behind Parker Washington (5-76-0 on five targets), outproducing both Brian Thomas (4-49-0 on 12 targets) and Travis Hunter (3-22-0 on six targets). While both Thomas and Hunter should be locks to pace Brown in receiving production on a weekly basis going forward, he has now racked up over 50 yards in back-to-back weeks to open the regular season. As the No. 3 receiver in Jacksonville, Brown appears a fair fantasy option for teams in need of a fill-in due to injuries or bye weeks. He'll look to keep up his consistency Week 3 against the Texans.

LeQuint Allen: Looks solidified as No. 3 RB
Monday, September 15, 2025 11:42 AM
Allen rushed twice for 13 yards during Jacksonville's 31-27 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
Allen took a step back to fellow rookie Bhayshul Tuten (eight carries for 42 yards, two catches for 32 yards and a score) in Week 2 after having handled more snaps than him Week 1. In the wake of Jacksonville trading Tank Bigsby, Tuten looks entrenched as the No. 2 man behind Travis Etienne, with Allen having lost out on the backup competition but still facing opportunities for change-of-pace touches as the No. 3 man. The rookie seventh-round pick will work to keep making the most of his depth role Week 3 against the Texans.

Evan Engram: Plays behind Trautman in Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 11:37 AM
Engram secured one of two targets for 12 yards during Sunday's 29-28 loss to the Colts.
Engram returned from the calf injury he sustained Week 1 in time to suit up Week 2 against Indianapolis, though he played only 43 percent of offensive snaps and worked behind Adam Trautman (62 percent of snaps), who brought in all three of his targets for 10 yards and a score. It's possible Engram gets more involved Week 3 against the Chargers, but even before being injured Week 1 he played just one snap on the Broncos' opening drive, as Lucas Evans of the Denver Post reports, providing reason for concern that the veteran chain-mover may not be as entrenched as the team's No. 1 tight end as expected. Fantasy managers may want to wait until Engram proves he's earned a larger snap share before relying on him as a weekly option in starting lineups.

Tanner Conner: No targets to TE position
Monday, September 15, 2025 11:25 AM
Conner was not targeted during Miami's 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Conner and Julian Hill were both held without a target Week 2, even with Darren Waller (hip) inactive a second straight game. While Waller appears to be trending in the wrong direction for Thursday night's divisional matchup against the Bills, Conner and Hill remain off the fantasy radar outside of formats that require multiple starting tight ends. Even then, Hill has handled marginally more offensive snaps through two weeks and likely offers more upside in the red zone than Conner.

Julian Hill: Not targeted in Week 2 loss
Monday, September 15, 2025 11:23 AM
Hill was not targeted during the Dolphins' 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Hill drew another start at tight end with Darren Waller (hip) again sidelined, but neither he nor fellow reserve TE Tanner Conner were targeted versus New England. Though Hill caught a two-point conversion in Week 1, Tua Tagovailoa otherwise hasn't looked his way this season. The tight end position isn't likely to offer tangible fantasy value in Miami until such time as Waller is able to take the field, if then, but the veteran is expected to remain out for Thursday's game against the Bills.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine: Makes two grabs vs. New England
Monday, September 15, 2025 11:23 AM
Westbrook-Ikhine secured two of three targets for 18 yards during Miami's 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Westbrook-Ikhine played just 28 percent of offensive snaps, working further behind Malik Washington (65 percent) than he did in Week 1. Still, Westbrook-Ikhine drew one more target than his competition for the No. 3 wideout role, though Washington also handled three carries and scored a TD on a punt return. The Dolphins' passing game is in need of red-zone playmakers, and Westbrook-Ikhine could eventually step into that role after having scored a career-high nine touchdowns with the Titans last season, but he's currently off the fantasy radar heading into a difficult Thursday night matchup against Buffalo.

Malik Washington: Showcases versatility in loss
Monday, September 15, 2025 11:22 AM
Washington secured one of two targets for two yards during Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Patriots. He also gained 23 rushing yards on three carries and added 122 yards and a touchdown on three kick returns.
Washington made his biggest impact on special teams in Week 2, returning two kickoffs for 48 yards and scoring a 74-yard touchdown on his only punt return. The second-year wideout once again operated as the No. 3 receiver behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, playing 65 percent of the offensive snaps compared to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine's 28 percent, on which he produced two catches for 18 yards on three targets. Washington's versatility and playmaking ability remain encouraging, but as long as both Hill and Waddle are healthy, it'll be difficult to project the 2024 sixth-round pick for a consistent fantasy contribution heading into Thursday night's matchup against the Bills, outside of formats that value the return game.
|
Ollie Gordon: Minor role in Week 2 loss
Monday, September 15, 2025 11:21 AM
Gordon rushed once for eight yards and secured his only target for five yards during Miami's 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Gordon was again relegated to a minor role behind starting RB De'Von Achane, even with Jaylen Wright (knee) sidelined a second straight week. With Wright seemingly a candidate to suit up Thursday night against the Bills in Week 3, Gordon's path to consistent offensive touches is only going to get cloudier. The rookie sixth-round pick's involvement could ramp up as the season progresses, especially if Miami's season goes completely off the rails, but for now Gordon isn't a consideration for weekly fantasy lineups.
