Terry McLaurin: Ends holdout but has ankle injury
Sunday, July 27, 2025 9:44 AM

McLaurin (ankle) was removed from the reserve/did not report list and placed on the active/PUP list Sunday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

McLaurin has ended his contract holdout despite failing to secure a new deal from the Commanders. He will report after having missed four days of training camp, though McLaurin won't immediately be ready to take the practice field due to an ankle injury. The star wide receiver is still seeking a new contract as he heads into the final season of a three-year, $68 million extension.

Alec Pierce: Not focused on contract extension
Saturday, July 26, 2025 6:48 PM

Pierce stated Saturday that he's expecting to play out the season without a contract extension, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports. "I haven't even really like thought about it too much in terms of myself. I know my agents might've want to talk with them a while back, but I feel like ... it's going to be a play the season out (kind of thing)," Pierce stated, per James Boyd of The Athletic.

Pierce took a step forward in his third NFL campaign last year, notching career highs with 824 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns while averaging a league-high 22.3 yards per catch over 16 regular-season games. He's been almost exclusively a deep threat, however, as he logged a modest 37 receptions last year, 13 of which went for 20-plus yards. The Colts have one of the least favorable QB situations in the league for wideouts with Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones competing for the starting role, which could hamper Pierce's chances of breaking out further. He'll be in the final year of his rookie contract in 2025, and his comments Saturday suggest that he's not necessarily expecting to be extended by Indianapolis.

Kenny McIntosh: May have torn ACL
Saturday, July 26, 2025 6:27 PM

McIntosh (knee) likely tore an ACL during practice Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Further testing needs to be done to confirm McIntosh's diagnosis, but the initial expectation is that the third-year RB suffered a major knee injury. If he did indeed tear an ACL, McIntosh would almost certainly need to miss the entire 2025 campaign. That would be a blow both to Seattle's running-back corps -- McIntosh was slated to be the team's No. 3 RB -- and to its special-teams unit, as he was expected to work as a kick returner as well. If McIntosh is unable to play this year, seventh-round rookie Damien Martinez could be asked to take on the third-RB role behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet, while Steven Sims could handle lead kick-return duties.

Matthew Stafford: Won't return to practice Monday
Saturday, July 26, 2025 6:09 PM

Rams coach Sean McVay said Saturday that Stafford (back) isn't going to return to practice Monday and is considered week-to-week, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Stafford has been dealing with a sore back since the start of training camp, but he was previously expected to take part in the Rams' first padded practice of training camp Monday. It appears that will no longer be the case, as McVay stated that the team will take it a week at a time with Stafford, though the head coach also indicated that the QB did not suffer a setback. The goal is still to have Stafford ready to play Week 1, while Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to work with the first-team offense in camp until Stafford is ready to participate.

J.J. Taylor: Passes physical
Saturday, July 26, 2025 5:42 PM

The Texans activated Taylor (undisclosed) off the active/PUP list Saturday, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports.

Taylor passed his physical Saturday and is now able to return to practice. With Joe Mixon set to miss extended time with a foot injury, Taylor should have a chance to catch on with the team as a backup running back.

Parris Campbell: Suffers leg injury
Saturday, July 26, 2025 5:25 PM

Campbell suffered a leg injury during Dallas' practice Saturday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Campbell had to be helped off the field. The severity of the injury is currently unknown, and it remains to be seen if the 28-year-old will need to miss extended time.

David White: Placed on reserve/retired list
Saturday, July 26, 2025 5:20 PM

The Bills placed White (personal) on the reserve/retired list Saturday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

White had previously missed practice Friday due to personal reasons prior to being placed on the reserve/retired list. He had only signed with the team Tuesday, and it's unclear whether or he'll rejoin the team.

Kelly Akharaiyi: Re-signs with Bills
Saturday, July 26, 2025 5:15 PM

The Bills re-signed Akharaiyi on Saturday.

Akharaiyi will return to Buffalo after having been waived by team earlier in the week. He will take over David White's spot on the roster, as the latter was placed on the reserve/retired list in a corresponding move.

Kenny McIntosh: Suffers leg injury
Saturday, July 26, 2025 4:54 PM

McIntosh suffered a leg injury during Seattle's practice Saturday, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

McIntosh had to be helped off the field after suffering a leg injury during a special-teams drill. The 25-year-old was unable to put any weight on his left leg following the injury. Should he be forced to miss extended time, Steven Sims could take over his role as the team's primary kick returner.

John Stephens: Participating in training camp
Saturday, July 26, 2025 4:11 PM

Stephens (knee) is participating in Dallas' training camp, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Stephens is practicing again after having recovered from a torn ACL he suffered in practice last October. The 2023 undrafted free agent has yet to appear in a regular-season game but will have a chance to make his debut should he earn a spot on the team's final roster.
