Josh Allen: Highly efficient in Week 3 win
Thursday, September 18, 2025 11:29 PM SFKrackers62

Allen completed 22 of 28 passes for 213 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions while adding four rushes for 25 yards in the Bills' 31-21 win over the Dolphins on Thursday night. He also fumbled once but recovered.

Allen finished with a sparkling 134.1 QB rating in the divisional win, which may have been more tightly contested than initially expected. As a result, the star signal-caller was appreciably more involved through the air than during a comfortable Week 2 win against the Jets, completing passes to nine different targets overall. Allen's first two scoring tosses went to tight ends Dalton Kincaid (20 yards) and Jackson Hawes (five yards), the latter a nifty heave while on the run. Allen closed out his night with a 15-yard strike to Khalil Shakir midway through the fourth quarter to snap a 21-21 tie, and he'll head into a Week 4 home date against the Saints on Sunday, Sept. 28 with an unblemished 5:0 TD:INT and career-best 69.7 percent completion rate through his first three contests.

Jordan Watkins: Added to injury report
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:40 PM Free Agent

Watkins (calf) was a limited participant at the 49ers' practice Thursday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Watkins popped up on the injury report Thursday with an apparent calf issue, and his status for Week 3 is now uncertain. The wide receiver will look to log a full practice Friday and play Sunday versus the Cardinals.

Tory Horton: Remains limited at practice
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:37 PM Free Agent

Horton (groin) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Horton has kicked off Week 3 prep with a pair of capped sessions, leaving him just one more chance to get back to full Friday, or else risk entering the weekend with a designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints. Through two pro contests, he's been modestly involved in the Seahawks' passing game, recording two catches (on five targets) for 32 yards and one touchdown.

Kyle Juszczyk: Limited at practice
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:34 PM Free Agent

Juszczyk (concussion) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Juszczyk was unable to practice to open the week Wednesday, so his return to action Thursday is a step in the right direction. The fullback remains in concussion protocol, and he'll likely have to log a full practice Friday in order to have a chance to play Sunday against the Cardinals.

Tanner McKee: Limited at practice
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:28 PM Free Agent

McKee (thumb) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

McKee was limited for the second day in a row as he continues to recover from a fractured right thumb. If McKee can't go in Week 3, Sam Howell would operate as the top backup option behind Jalen Hurts at quarterback against the Rams.

Colby Parkinson: Limited again
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:25 PM Free Agent

Parkinson (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice for the second day in a row Thursday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

The tight end sprained the AC joint in his shoulder during the Rams' Week 1 win over the Texans and then missed the team's Week 2 victory over the Titans. Last week, though, Parkinson did not even suit up for practice, so his return might be a good sign ahead of Sunday's showdown with the Eagles. The former Seahawk played on 28 offensive snaps in Week 1, catching both of his targets for -6 yards.

Will Shipley: Back at practice
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:24 PM SF - 06/21

Shipley (oblique) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

Shipley was unable to practice Wednesday due to an oblique injury, so his return to action Thursday is a positive sign. The running back will look to log a full practice Friday before the team faces the Rams on Sunday.

Jauan Jennings: Another DNP on Thursday
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:20 PM SF - 06/21

Jennings (ankle/shoulder) didn't take part in Thursday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

For a second week in a row, Jennings has missed the first two practices, only this time he's dealing with the previous left shoulder injury and also an ankle issue. If he replicates his ending to last week, he'll be limited at Friday's session and questionable entering the weekend. While playing through the shoulder concern during a Week 2 win at New Orleans, he handled an 87 percent snap share and gathered in five of 10 targets from fill-in quarterback Mac Jones for 89 yards and one touchdown. If Jennings is able suit up Sunday against the Cardinals, he may be working with typical starting QB Brock Purdy (toe/shoulder), who has logged back-to-back limited practices this week.

Brock Purdy: Limited again Thursday
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:12 PM Temp Staff 3*

Purdy (left shoulder/toe) officially was limited at Thursday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Purdy now has put together back-to-back capped sessions, after which he touched on his health Thursday. Calling his turf toe variant a day-to-day issue, he told Matt Barrows of The Athletic that he's "happy with the progress I've been making with my foot, my toe. ... [We] gotta see at game time how I feel." Whether Purdy retakes the reigns of the offense from Mac Jones this Sunday versus the Cardinals remains to be seen, but the range of possibilities for him appear to be starter, backup or even emergency third quarterback.

Brock Bowers: Remains limited Thursday
Thursday, September 18, 2025 7:10 PM Temp Staff 3*

Bowers (knee) remained limited at practice Thursday.

Though Bowers was listed as questionable in advance of this past Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers, he was able to suit up and log a 77 percent snap share in that contest. With no reported setbacks, it doesn't seem like he's in any danger of missing Sunday's game against the Commanders, but the tight end may need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid a Week 3 injury designation.
