Hayden Rucci: Back to practice squad
Friday, October 31, 2025 8:22 PM
Rucci reverted from the active roster to the practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Rucci was elevated to the practice squad for the second straight game for Thursday's loss to the Ravens. He did not log a snap and will now head back to the practice squad.

Austin Trammell: Signed to active roster
Friday, October 31, 2025 8:15 PM
The Jaguars signed Trammell to the active roster from the practice squad Friday.
Trammell has spent all season with the Jacksonville practice squad and was elevated once, though he has yet to see game action. He'll likely serve primarily as a special teamer while taking the roster spot of Travis Hunter (knee).

Quintin Morris: Set for another absence in Week 9
Friday, October 31, 2025 8:11 PM
Morris (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's tilt versus the Raiders.
This will be the second straight absence for Morris, with a Week 8 bye sandwiched in between. He did manage a trio of limited practices this week and will look to return to action next Sunday versus Houston. Morris has played almost exclusively on special teams this season, so his absence probably won't have a major impact on the Jaguars' offensive game plan.

Aidan O'Connell: Won't return for Week 9
Friday, October 31, 2025 8:06 PM
O'Connell (wrist) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
O'Connell has been sidelined all season while recovering from wrist surgery. He practiced fully all week but will not return Sunday, leaving Kenny Pickett as the Raiders' backup quarterback.

Tim Patrick: Ruled out for Week 9
Friday, October 31, 2025 8:06 PM
Patrick (groin) won't play Sunday against Las Vegas.
Patrick injured his groin against the Rams in Week 7. The Jaguars were on bye last week, but that didn't provide enough time for Patrick to fully recover, though he did manage to log a trio of limited practices this week. Austin Trammell was signed to the active roster off Jacksonville's practice squad Friday and could get some offensive snaps in Patrick's absence.

Braxton Berrios: Green light for Week 9
Friday, October 31, 2025 7:19 PM
Berrios (chest) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Berrios has been given the all clear to play Week 9 after logging a full practice Friday. He played a meaningful role on offense during the Texans' Week 8 win over the 49ers and finished with five catches on as many targets for 38 yards. However, Berrios will likely be limited to a return on special teams for Week 9 due to the imminent returns of Nico Collins (concussion) and Christian Kirk (hamstring).

Nate Adkins: Won't play vs. Houston
Friday, October 31, 2025 7:07 PM
Adkins (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Adkins was unable to practice all week due to a knee injury he sustained against the Cowboys in Week 8. With Lucas Krull (foot) on injured reserve and Adkins sidelined for Week 9, Adam Trautman will see an elevated role on offense as the TE2 behind Evan Engram, and the Broncos could elevate Caleb Lohner or Marcedes Lewis from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's road game.

Robbie Ouzts: Set to return Week 9
Friday, October 31, 2025 6:59 PM
Ouzts (ankle) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Commanders, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
The rookie fifth-round fullback was a full participant in practice all week, and head coach Mike Macdonald said Friday that Ouzts will play Sunday night, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Ouzts will need to be activated from injured reserve before being cleared to play Week 9, but he's set to return from a four-game absence due to an ankle injury he sustained in Week 3 against the Saints.

Michael Carter: Taking first RB reps this week
Friday, October 31, 2025 6:50 PM
Carter, who currently is on the Cardinals' practice squad, took the initial running back reps in practice Thursday and Friday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Following Arizona's Week 8 bye, the team released Carter on Monday and then re-signed him to the practice squad one day later. The Cardinals still have two elevations to use on Carter this season, so the transactions seemingly were procedural to open up a spot on the active roster for one of the players currently on a reserve list. Elsewhere in the backfield, Emari Demercado (ankle) returned to practice this week in a limited capacity, indicating that he's closing in on his first game action since Week 6. The order of RBs in practice has been Carter, Demercado and then Bam Knight, so the team may be preparing to run with the backfield of Carter on early downs and Demercado in obvious passing situations Monday in Dallas, assuming the latter is able to suit up.

John Bates: Nursing ankle injury
Friday, October 31, 2025 6:49 PM
Bates (ankle) was a limited participant in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Bates appeared on Thursday's injury report due to an ankle injury, which limited his participation in Friday's session. He's questionable to play Sunday and his status may not be known until he goes through pregame warmups. With Colson Yankoff (hamstring) already ruled out for Week 9, the Commanders may elevate Lawrence Cager from the practice squad to provide tight end depth behind Zach Ertz and Ben Sinnott in the event that Bates is not cleared to play.
