Joe Burrow: Needs toe surgery, per report
Monday, September 15, 2025 8:45 AM

Burrow will reportedly need toe surgery, which would sideline him for a minimum of three months, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

We'll await confirmation from the Bengals, but it looks like Burrow will miss extended time, which sets the stage for Jake Browning to handle the team's QB duties in the coming weeks. Brett Rypien is currently on Cincinnati's practice squad, but it's also possible that signal-caller depth is added in the wake of Burrow's injury, per Schefter.

Dareke Young: Minor role in win
Monday, September 15, 2025 7:52 AM

Young didn't receive a target over eight offensive snaps in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

Young's an extremely athletic receiver who hasn't quite put things together offensively since entering the league as a seventh-round pick in 2022. However, he continues to be a strong special-teams player, as he notched a tackle in Sunday's game.

Jason Myers: Hits upright Sunday
Monday, September 15, 2025 7:46 AM

Myers connected on one of two field-goal attempts and made all four extra-point tries in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

Myers hit the left upright on a 36-yard field-goal try in the second quarter, but he bounced back in the fourth quarter by drilling a 54-yarder. The veteran kicker was perfect from within 40 yards last season, and he should remain a stable kicking option moving forward.

Eric Saubert: No looks in Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 7:43 AM

Saubert wasn't targeted in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

Saubert barely played in the season opener. However, he handled a 38 percent snap share in Week 2, essentially splitting the No. 2 duties with tookie Elijah Arroyo. Saubert should continue to add depth and run-blocking stability to the Seahawks' offense.

George Holani: Sticking to special teams
Monday, September 15, 2025 7:41 AM

Holani returned five kicks for 133 yards in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

Holani hasn't played an offensive snap through two weeks, but he continues to make an impact on special teams. As long as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are healthy, Holani's role should remain the same.

Elijah Arroyo: Two catches in win
Monday, September 15, 2025 7:37 AM

Arroyo caught two of three targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

Arroyo handled a 39 percent snap share and is the clear No. 2 tight end behind second-year AJ Barner, who logged 89 percent of the offensive snaps. The rookie showed his explosiveness in the first quarter, scooping a short pass from Sam Darnold and taking it 34 yards into Pittsburgh territory. While he caught just one pass the rest of the game, it's an encouraging start for the youngster.

AJ Barner: Scores in Sunday's win
Monday, September 15, 2025 7:33 AM

Barner caught two of three targets for 26 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

The second-year tight end caught a seven-yard touchdown on the Seahawks' first drive of the second half. Barner continues to handle a massive workload, as he logged an 89 percent snap share in Week 2 compared to rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo's 39 percent mark. Still, that has translated to just six targets through two weeks for Barner. The Michigan product wasn't known for his pass-catching abilities in college, but we should continue to see high snap counts due to his run-blocking acumen.

Jake Bobo: No targets in 2025 debut
Monday, September 15, 2025 7:29 AM

Bobo wasn't targeted in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

Bobo played 10 offensive snaps but couldn't get Sam Darnold's attention, as Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp combined for a 63 percent target share. Still, Bobo is a valued run blocker for the Seahawks, and he'll continue to play a role on special teams, too.

Pat Freiermuth: Another three catches
Monday, September 15, 2025 2:22 AM

Freiermuth recorded three catches on four targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Freiermuth continues to split pass-catching duties at tight end with Jonnu Smith, though the duo is being utilized in different ways. Freiermuth drew a pair of downfield targets in Sunday's loss, and he managed to convert one for a 20-yard gain, while Smith was targeted more close to the line of scrimmage. Freiermuth also had a chance to score his first touchdown of the season, though teammate Calvin Austin inadvertently broke up the pass, resulting in an interception.

Jonnu Smith: Splits targets with Freiermuth
Monday, September 15, 2025 2:16 AM

Smith recorded four receptions on four targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Smith saw his role as a pass catcher even out with Pat Freiermuth, as both tight ends earned four targets. As was the case in Week 1, Smith was used on short and quick passes with the goal of picking up yards after the catch. Smith's longest gain of the day went for only nine yards, and he has just 42 total yards on nine catches for the campaign.
