Dalton Schultz: Logs limited practice Wednesday
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 6:05 PM

Schultz (knee/shoulder) was limited at practice Wednesday.

Schultz, who continues to manage knee and shoulder issues, didn't practice either Wednesday or Thursday last week before logging a full practice Friday and playing in the Texans' Week 9 loss to the Broncos, a game in which he caught six of his eight targets for a team-high 77 yards. With no reported setbacks in that contest, the tight end's listed limitations Wednesday are presumably maintenance-related.

Nick Chubb: Misses practice with foot injury
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:51 PM

Chubb was held out of Wednesday's practice due to a foot injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

When reporters asked about Chubb's absence, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans simply responded, "we'll see as the week goes on." There was no clear sign of trouble during Sunday's 18-15 loss to the Broncos, with Chubb taking 11 carries for 34 yards while playing 36 percent of snaps on offense, including a 40 percent snap share and two carries during the fourth quarter. Woody Marks will likely get more playing time if Chubb isn't available Sunday against Jacksonville, but Dare Ogunbowale, Dameon Pierce and British Brooks could also mix in for a few snaps/touches.

D'Andre Swift: Expects to play this week
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:43 PM

Swift (groin) returned to practice Wednesday and said afterward that he'll play this Sunday against the Giants, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Swift played through the groin injury for at least two weeks and remained effective, but he was inactive for the shootout win at Cincinnati this past Sunday. He was then a limited participant Wednesday in his return to practice, telling reports afterward that he wanted to play last week but was held out by the team. Swift said he'll return this week, but fantasy managers still need to track the situation in light of Swift's acknowledgement that the decision isn't necessarily his to make. Fellow Bears running back Kyle Monangai (ankle) was also a limited practice participant Wednesday, after taking 26 carries for 176 yards in the thrilling win over Cincinnati.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt: Logs limited practice Wednesday
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:33 PM

Croskey-Merritt (tooth) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.

According to John Keim of ESPN.com, Croskey-Merritt was donning a black non-contact jersey Wednesday due to having received some dental work. Since Austin Ekeler (Achilles) was lost for the season Week 2, Croskey-Merritt has paced the Commanders backfield to the tune of 88 touches for 404 yards from scrimmage and three rushing TDs over the last seven games. Ultimately, Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Croskey-Merritt heads into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Lions.

Dyami Brown: Limited in practice
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:26 PM

Brown (concussion) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Brown suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Raiders, exiting shortly before Brian Thomas (DNP - ankle) suffered an injury of his own. The Jaguars then traded for Jakobi Meyers on Tuesday and got Tim Patrick (groin) back to full practice participation Wednesday, adding to the long list of potential starters at WR for Sunday's game against Houston. Much will depend on the health of Thomas and Brown.

Graham Gano: Tending to neck issue
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:25 PM

Gano didn't practice Wednesday due to a neck injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Gano was on injured reserve Weeks 4-7 due to a groin injury, and in two games since returning to action, he's combined to make three of four field-goal attempts and all five point-after tries. The Giants are still rostering two kickers (Younghoe Koo and Jude McAtamney) on the practice squad as insurance in the event Gano needs to miss any time. Ultimately, Gano likely will need to practice Thursday and/or Friday in order a chance to be active Sunday in Chicago.

Aaron Jones: DNP on Wednesday
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:16 PM

Jones (shoulder/toe) didn't practice Wednesday.

Jones revealed after this past Sunday's win at Detroit that his early departure was due to an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder. As the Vikings reconvened Wednesday to kick off Week 10 prep, his absence was attributed to shoulder and toe issues. The latter was unknown until now, so his status will be watched closely as the week continues to see if he's in any danger of missing Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Joshua Karty: Facing competition from Mevis
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:13 PM

Rams head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that Karty will face competition from Harrison Mevis for the kicking job this week, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Karty has gone just 10-of-15 on field-gal attempts this season, with three additional misses on PATs. He's been the clear weak link on a likely playoff team, unable to match a 2024 rookie campaign in which he converted 84.3 percent of his field-goal attempts. Karty has even struggled with kickoffs this year, so it's perhaps surprising the Rams waited this long to seriously consider a change. Mevis, listed at 5-foot-11, 243 pounds, has never kicked in an NFL regular-season game. He signed with the Rams' practice squad Wednesday, after spending time with the Jets from June through September.

Puka Nacua: Limited to begin Week 10 prep
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:09 PM

Coach Sean McVay said that imaging on Nacua's ribs was returned negative, and while the wide receiver will be limited at Wednesday's practice, he should be able to play Sunday at San Francisco, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Nacua exited early from this past Sunday's win against the Saints with what initially was termed a chest injury, but McVay clarified afterward that he hurt his ribs. McVay then told Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times on Monday that he felt "optimistic... in regard to where we're potentially heading." There's a decent chance Nacua has practice restrictions all week, with Friday's injury report to reveal whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game.

Marvin Mims: Won't play Thursday
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 5:05 PM

Mims (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Las Vegas.

The Broncos listed Mims as a limited practice participant Tuesday and Wednesday, hinting at a degree of practice and potential return for Week 11 against Kansas City (Nov. 16). With Mims out for the past game and a half, Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant took on more snaps alongside Courtland Sutton. It'll likely be the same story Thursday night, with Trent Sherfield also having a role as the No. 4 receiver.
