Darnell Washington: Targeted once in defeat
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:58 AM

Washington failed to secure his lone target during Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Washington matched Pat Freiermuth's snap count during last week's regular-season opener. However, Washington played just 36 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps in Week 2 compared to 51 percent for Freiermuth and 56 percent for Jonnu Smith. Washington was targeted for the first time this season despite his slight decrease in playing time, but he appears unlikely to have a fantasy-relevant role in 2025.

Connor Heyward: Tallies one reception in Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:53 AM

Heyward secured his lone target for six yards during Sunday's 31-17 loss to Seattle.

Although Heyward's snap count ranked fourth among the Steelers' tight ends Sunday, he recorded his first catch of the regular season during the loss. While it was encouraging to see him generate some offensive production in Week 2, he appears to be clearly behind Jonnu Smith, Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington on Pittsburgh's depth chart.

Kyle Williams: 10 snaps on offense Sunday
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:53 AM

Williams was on the field for 10 of a possible 60 snaps on offense in Sunday's 33-27 win over the Dolphins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Williams wasn't targeted by QB Drake Maye in Week 2, and while the 2025 third-rounder could see his role in the Patriots offense grow as the season progresses, for now he's off the fantasy lineup radar.

Mack Hollins: Catches TD in Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:48 AM

Hollins caught one of his two targets in Sunday's 33-27 win over the Dolphins for an eight-yard touchdown.

Hollins, who was on the field for 39 of a possible 60 snaps on offense in the contest, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, has recorded one catch in each of his first two games this season. As Week 3 action approaches, Hollins remains a speculative fantasy option while working in a New England WR corps that also includes Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas and Kyle Williams.

Brycen Tremayne: Impresses in Week 2
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:47 AM

Tremayne caught three of five targets for 48 yards during Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Cardinals.

With Jalen Coker (quadriceps) beginning the season on injured reserve, Tremayne has received more offensive snaps and played as the Panthers' No. 4 wideout through two games. He had the best performance of his NFL career in Week 2, catching three of his five targets for 48 yards despite playing just 15 offensive snaps. Tremayne is expected to remain one of the top depth options in Carolina's wide receiver corps until Coker returns to the field.

Tommy Tremble: Catches three passes vs. Cardinals
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:41 AM

Tremble caught all three of his targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Cardinals.

Tremble played as the Panthers' No. 2 tight end for the second consecutive week, logging 35 offensive snaps compared to Ja'Tavion Sanders' 56 on Sunday. Sanders also played his best game as a pro, catching seven of nine targets for 54 yards, so it appears likely that Tremble will remain Carolina's top reserve tight end as the season progresses. Still, the Notre Dame product was relatively productive despite playing a limited role in Week 2 and will look to build on that effort in Week 3 against the Falcons.

Antonio Gibson: Notches 90-yard TD on kick return
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:40 AM

Gibson, who logged 10 of a possible 60 snaps on offense in Sunday's 33-27 win over the Dolphins, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, carried five times for 27 yards and caught his only target for one yard in the contest.

Once again he was out-snapped by both Rhamondre Stevenson (39) and TreVeyon Henderson (19), but Gibson still made a huge impact in Week 2 with a go-ahead 90-yard kickoff return TD in the fourth quarter of New England's win. Though he's clearly a complementary backfield option, Gibson's role as a returner bolsters his fantasy value in formats where stats in that area factor in.

Brevyn Spann-Ford: First grab of 2025
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:39 AM

Spann-Ford caught his only target for three yards in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants.

The second-year tight end dealt with an ankle injury toward the end of training camp, but Spann-Ford was healthy to begin the season and caught his first pass of 2025 Sunday on his second target. The Minnesota product remains third on the depth chart behind starter Jake Ferguson and Luke Schoonmaker, but Spann-Ford's strong blocking could allow him to move past Schoonmaker at some point during the campaign.

Luke Schoonmaker: Shut out as receiver Sunday
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:35 AM

Schoonmaker failed to catch two targets in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants.

The 2023 second-round pick is still looking for his first catch of the season, whiffing on all three of his targets while Jake Ferguson dominates the receiving opportunities at tight end for Dallas. Even Schoonmaker's hold on the No. 2 spot on the depth chart could be slipping, as Brevyn Spann-Ford is proving to be a better blocker and caught his only target Sunday, albeit for just three yards.

Jalen Tolbert: Two grabs against Giants
Monday, September 15, 2025 10:31 AM

Tolbert caught two of four targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants. He added 85 yards on four kickoff returns.

KaVontae Turpin (neck) left midway through the game, pushing Tolbert into the primary kick returner role, and he was also back on a New York punt in OT but settled for a fair catch. The Cowboys' passing game has had a fairly narrow target tree so far -- one of CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens or Jake Ferguson were on the other end of 32 of Dak Prescott's 52 pass attempts during the contest -- but Tolbert hasn't done much with his rare receiving chances to earn a bigger share, posting a 3-16-0 line on six targets to begin 2025.
