Dont'e Thornton: Working with starters
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 9:42 PM Free Agent

Thornton was working with the Raiders' starters during Monday's mandatory minicamp practice, Jonathan Williams of Sports Illustrated reports.

Thornton was selected in the fourth round of this year's draft after catching 26 passes for 661 yards and six touchdowns during his final year at Tennessee, and he already appears to be carving out a role for himself in Las Vegas' offense. As the team currently lacks proven talent at the position behind Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker, Thornton could end up serving as one of the team's top wideouts early on in his rookie season.

Jase McClellan: Let go by Atlanta
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 4:43 PM Free Agent

The Falcons waived McClellan (knee) on Tuesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.

McClellan managed just two regular-season appearances a rookie in 2024, in which span he rushed 13 times for 32 yards. While the 2024 sixth-round pick appears recovered from the knee injury that forced him to finish his rookie campaign on IR, he'll now have to search elsewhere for a chance to compete for a depth role. Jashaun Corbin takes McClellan's spot on the Falcons roster.

Jashaun Corbin: Gets chance with Falcons
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 4:40 PM Free Agent

Atlanta signed Corbin (undisclosed) to a contract Tuesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.

Corbin spent time with the Giants last offseason but was waived/injured ahead of Week 1. He then resurfaced with the San Antonio Brahmas and led the UFL in rushing yards during the 2025 season. Back in 2023, in the NFL, he handled a reserve role for New York and logged six regular-season appearances. The Falcons waived Jase McClellan (knee) in a corresponding move.

Jared Wiley: Working with knee brace
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 1:03 PM Free Agent

Wiley (ACL) is participating in positional drills at mandatory minicamp Tuesday with a brace on his right knee, Sports Radio 810 WHB reports.

Head coach Andy Reid said in April that Wiley, who tore his ACL during practice early last November, is doing well in his recovery. It's encouraging that he's already been cleared to take part in individual drills, but the 2024 fourth-round pick may still not be fully cleared for training camp or Week 1. Noah Gray remains positioned as the No. 2 tight end behind Travis Kelce for Kansas City, so once fully recovered Wiley will likely find himself competing with Robert Tonyan for the No. 3 gig.

Jalin Hyatt: Exits practice with injury
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 12:38 PM Free Agent

Hyatt departed Tuesday's mandatory minicamp practice early due to an apparent left leg injury, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Hyatt had his left leg stretched by a trainer after exiting a practice drill early, then exchanged words with head coach Brian Daboll. The 2023 third-round pick has benefited from extra first-team reps with new quarterback Russell Wilson to start minicamp, with Malik Nabers (toe) still limited, it's notable that Hyatt is now being forced to miss some practice opportunities even if his injury is minor. Across 33 regular-season games played since entering the NFL, Hyatt has totaled 31 catches for 435 yards and zero touchdowns on 59 targets. He will have two more chances to get back on the field before minicamp wraps up Thursday.

Jordan Addison: DUI trial set for July
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 10:42 AM C&C/Brewer

Addison's jury trial for a DUI citation will commence on July 15 after a June 16 hearing to set the Superior Court of California schedule, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. Addison pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence after authorities found him asleep behind the wheel of a car on a Los Angeles freeway on July 12, 2024, according to CBS Minnesota.

Addison could face discipline from the NFL if he's found guilty, as the NFL's substance-abuse policy has a baseline punishment for a first-time DUI offense of a three-game suspension, Pro Football Talk reports. It's possible Addison's punishment from the NFL will be lengthier if he's found guilty should the league also take into account that he pleaded guilty to a 2023 misdemeanor speeding charge after being cited for driving 140 miles per hour in Minnesota. It sounds like a verdict in the DUI case could be announced at some point later this summer or early fall, which means Addison could potentially face discipline from the NFL during the 2025 season.

Gavin Bartholomew: Rehabbing injury in offseason
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 10:18 AM Free Agent

Bartholomew was off to the side rehabbing an undisclosed injury during the recent offseason program, Will Ragatz of Sports Illustrated reports.

It's likely a minor injury, but it's something to watch at the start of training camp. Bartholomew is a 2025 sixth-round draft pick, so his roster spot isn't guaranteed and a slow start to training camp due to injury could hurt his chances.

Travis Kelce: Likely to be present at minicamp
Saturday, June 14, 2025 4:04 PM BarackDHouse

Kelce is expected to attend the Chiefs' mandatory minicamp during the coming week, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

Kelce shared in early February that he wasn't sure if he'd be returning for another season, but the star tight end stated later that month that he'd decided to play in 2025. With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that Kelce will be with the Chiefs during the team's mandatory minicamp, which runs Tuesday through Thursday during the coming week. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com notes that Kelce, who didn't take part in Kansas City's voluntary OTAs last week, has slimmed down during the offseason as he approaches his 13th NFL campaign.

Harold Fannin: May have major role as rookie
Friday, June 13, 2025 10:46 PM Marauders

Fannin could be a big part of a Browns offense that is likely to run more two-tight-end sets in 2025, per ESPN.com.

Cleveland invested significant stock in Fannin, taking him in the third round of April's NFL Draft. The Bowling Green product showed off serious pass-catching skills in college, tallying 117 receptions on 156 targets for 1,555 yards and 10 touchdowns in his final campaign. The reception and yardage totals were the most by a tight end in a single season in FBS history, though at 6-foot-3, 241 pounds, Fannin is a bit undersized for his position in the NFL. That said, Browns tight ends coach Christian Jones praised Fannin for his strong hands and ability to track the ball following a strong practice Thursday, and the incoming rookie could immediately get looks in the Browns' offense alongside veteran TE David Njoku, who is heading into the final season of a four-year contract.

Dalton Kincaid: Adds strength ahead of third season
Friday, June 13, 2025 10:09 PM iheartff

Kincaid has "added both strength and bulk" during the offseason, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

Kincaid dealt with knee injuries last year, causing him to miss three regular-season games and to log lower snap counts following his Week 15 return. Bills GM Brandon Beane attributed the talented tight end's lessened statistics -- he went from a 73-673-2 receiving line in the regular season as a rookie to a 44-448-2 line as a sophomore -- to the knee issues, saying Kincaid's campaign was "really more of an injury thing and nothing more than that." Per Buscaglia, Kincaid impressed during practice Thursday and now has a clean bill of health. He adds that Kincaid's increased strength could help him remain on the field more often for run-blocking reps, which would increase his offensive snap count and be a boost to Buffalo's offense.
