Herbert's stat line tells the tale of an ugly and alarming Week 2 loss for the Chargers in which Herbert was constantly harassed and took three sacks in addition to tossing his pair of picks. The embattled signal-caller did connect with nine different targets overall, but no Bolts pass catcher had more than three receptions or 53 receiving yards. Herbert has completed just 59.3 percent of his passes over the first two games, and he'll have plenty of pressure on his shoulders for a suddenly critical Week 3 road matchup against the Bills next Sunday.

Herbert's final line was about as unremarkable as his performance in the shocking season-opening loss, one where the 2020 first-round pick was sacked three times in addition to his one interception. He had a particularly difficult second half outside of his eight-yard touchdown pass to Ladd McConkey (chest), as Los Angeles' six other possessions after halftime ended in either a punt, a blocked punt or the aforementioned interception, which came at the Cardinals' 5-yard line. The loss of McConkey to his injury in the third quarter certainly didn't help Herbert's cause, and he and his healthy teammates will look to atone for an alarming upset defeat when they face off with the division rival Raiders in next Sunday's home matchup.

Swift carried the ball 16 times for 45 yards and caught all five of his targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Vikings.

Wet and windy conditions at Soldier Field put a damper on both teams' passing games, and Swift wound up leading Chicago in receiving yards while tying Kalif Raymond for the team lead in receptions. Swift also had the Bears' longest play from scrimmage, a 32-year catch-and-run in the fourth quarter. The veteran RB has racked up 233 combined yards through two games, but Chicago's offense could look very different in Week 3 against the Eagles as Caleb Williams (hamstring) left Sunday's loss in the fourth quarter, with Tyson Bagent finishing up under center.

Swift (ankle/knee) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Swift and fellow RB Kyle Monangai (hamstring) were listed as limited on the Bears' first two Week 2 injury reports, but both players logged full practices Friday and thus are ready for Sunday's contest. In the Bears' 59-37 win at Carolina this past Sunday, Swift turned a 57 percent snap share into 19 touches for 134 yards from scrimmage and three rushing TDs, while Monangai handled the other 43 percent to the tune of 12 touches for 124 total yards and one TD on the ground.

Swift (ankle/knee) was limited in Thursday's practice.

Swift has been limited the last two days due to a pair of lower-body injuries to his knee and ankle. Both he and Kyle Monangai (hamstring) are on the injury report, which puts the Bears' backfield outlook in question as Sunday approaches. Friday's injury report will give firmer confirmation on Swift's status going into the Week 2 divisional matchup with the Vikings.

Adams secured eight of 10 targets for 195 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' 28-6 win over the Giants on Monday night.

With Puka Nacua (hip) inactive, Adams entered the contest projected for an elevated workload, but the veteran wideout exceeded expectations in a spectacular primetime showing. Adams set the tone for a dominant performance early via a 31-yard touchdown reception over the middle late in the first quarter. He'd go on to add an 11-yard scoring grab just past the midway point of the third quarter, and Adams' reception, receiving yardage and target totals all comfortably paced the Rams on the night. The breakout effort was in stark contrast to Adams' quiet three-catch Week 1 tally, but he draws a tough Week 3 assignment on the road against the Broncos on Sunday night, one where he could garner plenty of Patrick Surtain's attention if Nacua remains sidelined.

Adams will serve as the Rams' No. 1 WR on Monday versus the Giants with Puka Nacua (hip) inactive, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

Nacua showed up on the Rams' injury report Friday as a non-participant due to a hip injury and sat out again Saturday before the team termed him questionable for Week 2 action. He began trending the wrong way to play as the weekend went on, though, and now that Nacua is officially out, Adams should have unfettered access to passes from QB Matthew Stafford on Monday. In the one game in which Nacua missed last season (Week 7 at Jacksonville), Adams took full advantage of his eight targets, turning them into five catches for 35 yards and three touchdowns.

Adams secured three of six targets for 26 yards during the Rams' 27-7 Week 1 loss to the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia.

The veteran receiver's final line underscores the kind of game it was for the Rams' air attack, which netted only 168 yards overall. Adams' numbers, modest as they were, still enabled him to tie for second in receptions while also checking in as the runner-up in both receiving yards and targets for Los Angeles. The only game during Adams' debut campaign in L.A. last year in which he generated a lower stat line was a Week 11 win over the Seahawks, when his only catch went for a one-yard touchdown, and he should have a chance to put together a more voluminous line during a Week 2 home matchup against the Giants on Monday night, Sept. 21.

Fairbairn went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts in Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Bengals.

The veteran kicker accounted for all of Houston's six points, making field goals from 37 and 45 yards sandwiched around a miss from 58 yards in the third quarter in which Fairbairn left the kick short. Through two games, Fairbairn is 3-for-4 on field-goal tries and has made all four PATs. He'll get another plus draw in the dome against the Colts in Indianapolis next Sunday.

Fairbairn made his lone field-goal attempt and all four PATs in Sunday's 36-31 loss to Buffalo.

Fairbairn's field goal was drilled from 58 yards in the fourth quarter to bring the Texans within one point. Fantasy's No. 1 overall kicker last season, Fairbairn has had a mistake-free 2026 to this point after he went perfect during the preseason. The 32-year-old led the NFL in field-goal attempts (48) and makes (44) last season while also converting all 28 of his extra-point tries over 15 regular-season games.

Darnold (glute) officially was a limited practice participant Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
