While it's still too early to overreact, Prescott will look to bounce back against a tough Ravens defense that allowed 26 points to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2.

Prescott figures to push for top-five fantasy quarterback status this season and he should this individual week as well. As he continues to build rapport with his top target CeeDee Lamb, his numbers should be better than Week 1. He will be without tight end Jake Ferguson but has plenty of other targets to spread the ball to. There is not much to take away from the Saints' defensive showing in Week 1 as the Panthers' offense was woeful. Start Prescott with confidence.

The Cowboys will go home to face the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson rushed 21 times for 81 yards and one touchdown during the team's 23-20 overtime loss against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. He also caught two of five targets for an additional nine yards through the air. Stevenson has been the Patriots' workhorse so far this year, and while he wasn't quite as efficient as Week 1, he still impressed with his high volume and nose for the end zone. The talented, young running back remains a very strong RB2 option heading into Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets.

Seattle doesn't have a great run defense, and New England has shown a clear commitment to pounding the rock on the ground. Stevenson is a high-end RB2 with RB1 upside.

He has continued to prove himself as a talented runner, receiver, and blocker, giving him plenty of fantasy value over the rest of the season. He ranks as a very strong RB2 option heading into next week's home opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin had seemingly no issues against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. Last week, Godwin finished with eight receptions for 83 yards and he was able to top that here. On Sunday, Godwin snagged seven of his eight targets for 117 yards and a touchdown in the win. It seems that moving Godwin back to the slot has really worked out for the Bucs offense. Normally, Godwin takes a backseat to fellow wideout Mike Evans, but not this week. It seems like Godwin and Mayfield have great chemistry and hopefully this continues going forward. Godwin has been excellent through the first two weeks and he should be a strong WR2 versus the Denver Broncos next week.

The Bucs should continue to air it out which makes Godwin a fine WR2 for Week 2.

Both Godwin and Mike Evans should have no problem getting the ball in this pass-heavy offense on a weekly basis. Godwin should be a solid WR2 in PPR formats going forward.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf absolutely torched the New England Patriots in Week 2. Metcalf finished with 10 receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown. Metcalf opened his day by slipping by the defense for a 56-yard touchdown on a nifty play design. From there, the Patriots had no answer as quarterback Geno Smith continued to go to Metcalf repeatedly. Metcalf has a chance to carry that momentum into a Week 3 tilt against the Miami Dolphins.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf will draw his second tough matchup in as many weeks when the Seahawks take on the New England Patriots in Week 2. Metcalf will likely be matched up with Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez. Gonzalez is known to shadow opposing teams' No. 1 receiver at times. While this matchup may not be as difficult as Metcalf's Week 1 matchup against Patrick Surtain II, he will still be challenged. Additionally, the Seahawks should have a positive game script against the Patriots and Metcalf's services may not be needed. Wait for Metcalf to exit this gauntlet of talented young cornerbacks before his true ceiling is reached this season.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf had a quiet outing in Week 1. The Denver Broncos limited Metcalf to three receptions for 29 yards on Sunday. The Seahawks offense had a difficult time getting much going until the third quarter. Additionally, Patrick Surtain II blanketed Metcalf for much of the day. Better days are ahead for Metcalf who drew a tough matchup with Surtain to kick off the season. If the Seahawks offense can play like they did in the second half consistently, then Metcalf will be just fine in fantasy.

Week 1 of the 2024 season saw several kickers put up extraordinary amounts of points. Five kickers had multiple field goals from 50+ yards out, three of them also hitting two tries from the 40-49-yard range. Nine other kickers also made good from 50 yards or more. Unfortunately, Matt Prater was not one of them. The 40-year-old veteran did convert all of his attempts though, netting field goals from 29 and 31 yards out and banging home two extra points. In Week 2, the Cardinals host the Rams in their home opener in what is expected to be one of the highest-scoring games of the week. Prater may not have had a chance to kick from distance in the season opener but he has a strong leg and the benefit of playing in a dome in Week 2. Fantasy managers looking for a solution at kicker can fire up Prater on Sunday without worry.

Arizona Cardinals kicker Matt Prater will begin his 18th NFL season when the team takes on the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. Prater is the active leader in career field goals with 401 and is second on the list in career extra points. Last season Prater was 28-for-33 on field goal attempts and made all but one of his 23 extra point tries. With a healthy Kyler Murray leading the way, Arizona's offense should be more effective out of the gate than it was in 2023 which will lead to more opportunities for Prater to put points on the board. Buffalo is expected to score at will against Arizona's defense on Sunday. If the Cardinals can stay competitive it will be because they engage in a shootout which, again, means more chances to score for Prater. The veteran kicker is not the best option out there but he is widely available, has a strong leg (nine FGs of 50+ yards in 2023), and will be featured in a high-scoring matchup.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis completed 19-of-28 passes for 192 yards, one touchdown and one interception in a 24-17 loss to New York. He also rushed four times for 38 yards while losing a fumble in the defeat. Levis once again showed flashes of brilliance, but was doomed by inconsistent play and turnovers that lowered his fantasy numbers considerably. The constant pressure didn't help, but Levis accounted for three turnovers for the second consecutive week, which led to 10 points for the Jets. The QB did make some splash plays, including a 40-yard TD to Calvin Ridley, but struggled to connect with any other receiver in the game. Levis will have another tough test next Sunday with the Packers coming to town in Week 3.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis faces the New York Jets in the team's home opener on Sunday. Week 1 was quite a struggle for Levis, who only threw for 127 yards and virtually gave the game away with two fourth quarter interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. While the Bears defense is a force to be reckoned with, New York boasts an almost equally intimidating unit, especially in the secondary. Levis will have Pro Bowl receiver DeAndre Hopkins healthier after being limited in Week 1, but that is likely not enough reason to start the sophomore QB, even in superflex leagues.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis went 19-for-32 for 127 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in a 24-17 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Levis also rushed nine times for 36 yards and lost a fumble. It was a forgettable start to Year 2 for the quarterback, who was constantly under pressure and indecisive with the football, which led to mostly stalled drives and turnovers on the afternoon. Levis also had one of the worst interceptions in recent memory, tossing the ball sideways while getting hit, which led to the game-clinching pick-six in the fourth quarter. While Chicago has a great defense, it was an all-around poor performance from the sophomore quarterback, who had all three of his turnovers in the last period, essentially giving the game away to the Bears, who were held to zero offensive touchdowns in the game. Levis will really need to turn things around in Week 2, though the NFL's best pass defense is up next in the New York Jets.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary delivered a solid fantasy performance in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Washington Commanders, racking up 95 yards on 16 carries and finding the end zone on a seven-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. While he wasn't involved in the passing game, with only one catch for zero yards, Singletary's rushing efficiency (5.9 YPC) helped keep the Giants in the game. His ability to churn out tough yards in critical situations made him a reliable RB2 for fantasy managers. With a consistent workload and goal-line usage, Singletary's stock is rising heading into Week 3, but managers must be cautious against a tough Browns defense.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary is set for a pivotal Week 2 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Singletary, coming off a poor Week 1 performance where he rushed for only 37 yards and added 15 yards receiving, will look to exploit a Commanders defense that allowed 37 points in their opener. New York Giants running back Devin Singletary had a quiet day in Sunday's 28-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, managing just 37 rushing yards on the ground and 15 receiving yards through four catches. Despite getting involved in the passing game, Singletary failed to find the end zone and was ultimately held in check by a stout Vikings defense. His 52 total yards won't win any matchups, but his consistent role in both facets of the offense is encouraging for PPR formats. Singletary could see an uptick in touches in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders, but he is better off left on the bench now.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was limited to just 32 total yards in Sunday's 44-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Elliott recorded six rushes for 16 yards and added two catches on three targets for 16 yards. With the Saints scoring 35 points in the first half, the Cowboys were forced to abandon the run and shift to a pass-heavy game plan, significantly reducing Elliott's opportunities. The Cowboys struggled offensively, entering the red zone only three times, where Elliott is typically featured. Fantasy managers may want to consider other options in Week 3, as the Cowboys face a tough matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, who allowed just 27 rushing yards to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott could be a touchdown-dependent fantasy play in Week 2 against New Orleans. In Week 1, Elliot rushed 10 times for 40 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for nine yards against the Browns. His day was salvaged by a touchdown and he and Rico Dowdle basically alternated drives at Cleveland. The reality, however, is Elliott could be a TD machine in the high-powered Cowboys' offense and that could be the case in Week 2 against the Saints. His limited rushing opportunities in what looks like a shared backfield make him a somewhat risky proposition for fantasy purposes week in and week out. But until proven otherwise, the Ohio State product is a solid bet to find paydirt each week and could fall into the end zone multiple times in any given matchup. There are better options for volume at the position in fantasy but Elliott looks like he could be a decent RB2 play this week.

This pattern will likely continue, but will get even more crowded once Dalvin Cook is up to speed and joins the backfield as well. It could be tough to choose what Cowboys running back will be fantasy relevant each week, but Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints could be more illuminating.

Cooks caught both of his targets for 19 yards with his longest reception clocking in at 11 yards. Outside of CeeDee Lamb with his touchdown, the next best receiver in this contest was Jalen Tolbert who received nine targets and turned it into six receptions for 82 yards. For Cooks and all of the receivers behind Lamb, their fantasy value is going to be game script-dependent. The veteran wideout projects to be more of a boom-or-bust flex option as the season rolls on. Cooks and company will take on a Baltimore Ravens team looking for their first win in Week 3.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks put together a solid Week 1, finishing in the top 24 receivers in the WR2 range. His touchdown was a big part of that finish, but he also saw a good bit of volume against what was expected to be a solid defensive unit in the Cleveland Browns. Now the Cowboys get a home game against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints posted a big performance against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1, and their secondary isn't one to scoff at. Cooks should still receive close to the same target share (21.8%), but going up against Tyrann Mathieu, Paulson Adebo, and Marshon Lattimore is going to prove to be more difficult. Currently, Cooks sits in the mid-flex area since CeeDee Lamb will be the one to deal with Lattimore the most.

He's a tough fantasy asset to roster because of his up-and-down performances, but he could certainly develop into an asset behind alpha WR1 CeeDee Lamb.

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas did not command a target during the team's 23-20 overtime loss against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. It has been an underwhelming start to the season for the second-year receiver, who now has just two catches through two games. Many fantasy managers spent a late-round pick on Douglas thinking that he could be a reliable option in the short passing game, but so far, he has been the opposite of reliable. He can be dropped in most redraft leagues as the Patriots employ a run-heavy approach and Brissett throws to the receivers not named Douglas.

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas should be avoided in most fantasy leagues ahead of the team's home opener against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. Douglas has been one of the Patriots' most reliable pass-catchers since the middle of the 2023 season, but his volume has taken a hit with New England relying on its rushing attack and defense to keep them competitive. Jacoby Brissett isn't being asked to throw a lot, which means Douglas and his fellow receivers should continue to prepare for minimal value. In last week's season opener, for example, he registered just 12 yards on a pair of receptions. Until we see any sort of higher-level production out of Douglas, he can be left on fantasy waivers.

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas caught two of his three targets for just 12 yards during Sunday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Douglas finished fifth on the team in terms of receiving yards and tied for third in targets. It's an interesting and noteworthy outcome given that Douglas was expected to be Jacoby Brissett's top target this year. One game is too small of a sample size to rule that out, but it likely means that Douglas can be benched in fantasy football for Week 2. For Douglas to get back on the fantasy radar, he'd likely need at least four or five catches per game given that he's not a major YAC guy.
