Fantasy managers should be encouraged by this performance and have hope that Hurts will be the fantasy force he was drafted to be moving forward. The Eagles signal caller will be a top-five option next week in a showdown against the impressive New Orleans Saints.

He will now face an Atlanta defense that held the lowly Steelers offense and Justin Fields to nothing but field goals in the regular season opener. The Eagles should not have as hard of a time finding the endzone, but there are two noteworthy things to point out. Wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) was limited Friday in practice and if he is not at 100%, then Hurts passing upside is capped a bit. In addition, Saquon Barkley was the one to find the endzone on the ground when in the red zone last week. The Eagles quarterback will have rushing touchdowns in 2024, but the number compared to previous years is likely to come down and it makes Hurts' upside come down with it. All that said, Hurts faced plenty of adversity last week and was a solid fantasy option, and should be considered top five at his position heading into Monday night.

With Jason Kelce now retired, Hurts had issues getting on the same page as center Cam Jurgens, resulting in some botched snaps. However, things will likely get sorted out ahead of the Eagles Week 2 meeting with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night. With that said, Hurts will remain a must-start in all fantasy formats.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White (groin) was at the team's practice on Wednesday, but FOX Sports' Greg Auman said that it was hard to measure his participation level, although he seemed to be OK. White suffered a groin injury in the Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions but did go back into the game, which would seem to indicate that the injury isn't very serious. As long as White doesn't have any setbacks in practice this week, fantasy managers should feel pretty comfortable that he will suit up for a good matchup at home in Week 3 this Sunday against the 0-2 Denver Broncos. The 25-year-old couldn't get anything going against Detroit, carrying the ball only 10 times for 18 yards while catching one pass for five yards. If he plays this Sunday, White will be hoping to turn things around after averaging a measly 2.0 yards per carry through the first two weeks of the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White (groin) left Sunday's 20-16 win over the Detroit Lions. The former Arizona State star played 71% of the snaps, totaling 10 rushing attempts for 18 yards in Week 2 after a slightly disappointing opening week performance. Thankfully, the third-year running back avoided a significant injury. Fantasy players should check with the Buccaneers' practice report throughout the week to ensure White is on track to play Sunday against the Denver Broncos. If the star running back has to miss a game with the injury, Bucky Irving would see the majority of the work out of the backfield, making him a top-20 running back in Week 3. However, nothing suggests that White won't be able to suit up against the Broncos.

It was a bad day for White who was outrushed by fellow back Bucky Irving and even quarterback Baker Mayfield. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried as White will get a favorable matchup against the Denver Broncos next week. He should be able to bounce back there and hopefully this was a fluke.

Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin took a step back from his Week 1 involvement in the Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Denver on Sunday. After out-touching backfield mate Javonte Williams last week in the loss to the Seattle Seahawks, McLaughlin had only three carries for six yards in the 13-6 loss to the Steelers and wasn't targeted in the passing game. Meanwhile, Williams had 16 touches for 65 scrimmage yards. It was a step back for the 24-year-old second-year back, but he's still the clear RB2 in Denver, with Tyler Badie seeing only one carry for a 16-yard gain. McLaughlin is going to have much better games than this, obviously, but it's hard to justify using a roster spot on him in 12-team fantasy leagues as long as the Broncos' offense continues to struggle so much under rookie quarterback Bo Nix. McLaughlin will have very little standalone value in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While McLaughlin isn't a recommended fantasy starter this weekend, his touch total in the season opener bodes well for his continued involvement in what looked more like a committee to begin the year.

Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin actually out-touched backfield mate Javonte Williams 15 to eight in the 26-20 Week 1 loss on Sunday to the Seattle Seahawks out Lumen Field, but he did very little with his touches and also lost a crucial fumble. The Broncos offense couldn't really sustain any drives all day. McLaughlin finished with a team-high 10 carries for 27 yards (2.7 yards per tote) while catching all five of his targets for just one yard while also losing a fumble. It wasn't a great day for anyone in the Denver offense, but fantasy managers stashing McLaughlin in deeper leagues have to like the fact that he out-touched Williams and potentially could be the team's preferred third-down back this year. It would be a reach to consider him worth a starting lineup spot in Week 2, though, as the Broncos head home to face the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday.

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers was a bright spot in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Washington Commanders, hauling in 10 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown on a massive 18 targets. Nabers showcased his big-play ability, averaging 12.7 yards per catch and notching a cath-and-run 28-yard reception. Nabers did have a crucial drop at the end of the game, but that rookie errors can be expected as he adjusts to the NFL. Despite the Giants' struggles, fantasy managers can take solace in his hefty target share and reliable production, proving he's more than just a deep threat. With his combination of volume and playmaking ability, Nabers is a legit WR1 with huge upside.

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (head) cleared concussion protocol and returned to Sunday's NFC East battle with the Commanders. The rookie wideout took a shot to the head, resulting in a trip to the blue medical tent for an evaluation. Fortunately, fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief. He popped up on the injury report earlier in the week due to a knee injury. However, he was cleared to suit up after practicing in full on Friday. Without question, the Giants can't afford an injury, considering kicker Graham Gano (groin) left the contest with a groin injury.

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) was a full participant in Friday's practice and doesn't carry an injury designation into the Week 2 divisional matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Nabers popped up on the team's injury report this week after he was limited in Thursday's practice, but fantasy managers should have no worries now that he's in danger of playing this weekend. The 21-year-old is in a bad offense run by quarterback Daniel Jones, but did draw seven targets in his NFL debut, catching five of them for 66 yards in the Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Expect the LSU product to continue to have a big target share in an offense that will likely be playing catch-up more weeks than not. Against a shaky Washington secondary, Nabers should be in all starting fantasy lineups as a high-end WR2.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks had a solid day's work in the Packers' 16-10 win at home against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. Wicks earned a team-leading four targets, hauling in three of those targets for 26 yards. The lone passing touchdown from starting quarterback Malik Willis was scored by Wicks as he caught a 14-yard touchdown late in the first quarter. With just 14 passing attempts to go around for the Packers, Wicks made the most of his opportunities. While he's still behind in the pecking order among the team's wide receivers, Wicks is utilized plenty in the Packers' offense. For fantasy purposes, Wicks is tough to trust, so he's not going to be a recommended start in fantasy football when the Packers head to Tennessee to face the Titans in Week 3.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper caught three of his eight targets for 11 yards in an 18-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. It was another quiet outing for Cooper, who struggled with drops for the second consecutive contest. Cooper tied for the team lead in targets but was vastly outproduced by Jerry Jeudy, who went for 73 yards on five catches. Overall, the veteran wideout has just five catches for 27 yards through the first two games of the season. With Cooper struggling and with Deshaun Watson taking a liking to Jeudy in the passing game, fantasy managers should downgrade him to a WR4 heading into a Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants.

The Jaguars secondary struggled in Week 1, allowing both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle to post 100-yard games. While the Cleveland offense looked bad in Week 1, Cooper should find more room to operate this weekend, making him a high-end WR3.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper caught two of his nine targets for 16 yards in a 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Cooper's nine targets led the team, but he could not do much with the looks as the Dallas secondary kept him wrapped up for most of the afternoon. It should have been a bigger game for Cooper, who dropped a would-be 36-yard touchdown pass around the Dallas five-yard line late in the fourth quarter. Cooper could bounce back as early as next week against a Jacksonville Jaguars secondary that just allowed both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle to post 100-yard games in Week 1.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer made just two catches in a Week 2 win over the Carolina Panthers. He was targeted twice, making both catches for a total of 19 yards. Palmer watched Quentin Johnston end up with two touchdowns, but the Chargers only completed 14 passes on 20 attempts, which limited all of their pass catchers. It could be like this for most of the season, which will be a knock for the fantasy value of all of the Chargers receivers. Palmer will have better weeks, but he might have more games like this as well.

However, he did play 81% of the offensive snaps prior to his ejection, and he makes for a WR4/flex with upside against a Panthers defense that was torched by quarterback Derek Carr and the Saints in Week 1.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) is "tracking to play" against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2 despite being listed as questionable, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 24-year-old receiver played 81 percent of snaps in last week's season opener but caught just two of his four targets for 15 yards through the air. He'll look to make a bigger contribution this week against a Panthers defense susceptible to surrendering points. Palmer ranks as a low-end WR3/FLEX, but his floor is a little worrisome.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) is considered week-to-week, per head coach Doug Pederson. Engram was a surprise addition to the Jags' injury report after sustaining a hamstring injury during pre-game warmups ahead of Sunday's home tilt against the Cleveland Browns. Jacksonville is now 0-2 on the season and will be without their returning target leader for at least the foreseeable future. In his stead, backup tight end Brenton Strange caught three of six passes for 65 yards, while Luke Farrell caught both his targets for 13 yards. The two will continue to fill the gap in the lineup while Engram is deemed unfit to suit up. Additionally, wide receivers Gabe Davis, Brian Thomas Jr., and Christian Kirk could see more work now that the injury is known ahead of time. The Jaguars will head to Buffalo to take on the Bills in Week 3.

The 30-year-old Engram had a rough season debut last week as well, catching only one of four targets for five yards in the loss to the Miami Dolphins. There's no guarantee he'll be able to play in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills.

That leaves the door open for a potential mismatch like Engram to have a solid outing, and maybe catch a touchdown to produce a great fantasy outing. Engram is too talented at a shallow position to consider benching, but his upside is somewhat limited in a tough matchup.
