Mayfield was stymied by the Lions defense in Monday's 24-9 loss, completing 28 of 50 passes for 228 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also didn't record a carry after being effective as a scrambler through the first six games of the campaign. Perhaps the knee issue was partly responsible, and he'll now have two chances to get back to full this week or else risk entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest at New Orleans.

Mayfield had already been struggling to get the ball to Evans considering the pass on which he suffered the pair of injuries was his fourth target without a catch, and the veteran signal-caller displayed only modest improvement over the rest of the night even though the Lions were playing with an extremely short-handed secondary. Mayfield saw a two-game interception-less streak come to an end as well on a controversial play that originally appeared to be a Cade Otton reception, and it remains to be seen if he'll at least have Chris Godwin (fibula) at his disposal to help offset the loss of Evans in a Week 8 road matchup versus the Saints on Sunday.

Mayfield completed 17 of 23 pass attempts for 256 yards and two touchdowns while taking three carries for 14 yards in Sunday's 30-19 win over the 49ers.

Mayfield produced a sterling 139.0 passer rating against a 49ers defense that was helpless after losing LB Fred Warner (ankle) early in the contest. The Buccaneers also suffered a key loss early on when WR Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) exited the game after recording just two receptions. This meant that Mayfield had to finish off the win sans his three top weapons, with Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (fibula) in street clothes Sunday. The 30-year-old Mayfield overcame expectations and produced his fifth multi-score game through six starts. With the Buccaneers visiting the Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 7, it will be important for fantasy managers to note which receivers Mayfield will have at his disposal before making roster decisions.

Egbuka missed Wednesday's walkthrough due to a hamstring injury, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Egbuka managed just one limited session last week due to the same health concern before suiting up Monday in Detroit, a contest in which Chris Godwin (fibula) was inactive and Mike Evans (concussion) suffered a collarbone injury that's expected to sideline him for most of the rest of the season. Assuming Egbuka continues to be able to suit up on game days, he'll serve as the top pass catcher for QB Baker Mayfield (knee), but the results have been modest the last two contests (a combined 6-82-0 on 16 targets) after a blistering start to his NFL career (25-445-5 on 38 targets in his first five appearances).

Egbuka (hamstring) brought in four of 12 targets for 58 yards during the Buccaneers' 24-9 loss to the Lions on Monday night.

The rookie was surprisingly able to play through his hamstring strain, and he finished with a team-high target total while tying for second in both receptions and receiving yards. Egbuka also provided a team-high 30-yard catch, and given Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports Mike Evans has been diagnosed with a broken collarbone following his first-half exit from Monday's game, the 2025 first-round pick is set to play an elevated role for the rest of the season. Egbuka could be especially busy in Sunday's Week 8 road matchup against the Saints, considering Chris Godwin (fibula) could remain sidelined for that divisional clash.

Egbuka (hamstring) is listed as active Monday at Detroit.

After emerging from a Week 6 win against the 49ers with a strained hamstring, Egbuka managed just one limited practice (Saturday) before being listed as questionable for Monday's contest. On Saturday, coach Todd Bowles called Egbuka a game-time decision, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, but now that the rookie wide receiver is cleared, he'll be part of a receiving corps that also features the return of Mike Evans (hamstring) for the first time since Week 3. Both Egbuka and Evans will be priority plays in fantasy against a Lions secondary that is down four starters.

Waddle brought in one of four targets for 15 yards in the Dolphins' 31-6 loss to the Browns on Sunday.

Tua Tagovailoa threw for just 100 yards while barely completing more than 50.0 percent of his passes before giving way to Quinn Ewers in garbage time, so Waddle's line is slightly less alarming within that context. Nevertheless, the veteran receiver's numbers were season lows across the board, and his catch total was also a new career-worst mark. The Dolphins offense had its worst day of the season overall Sunday, and even though Waddle could bounce back to an extent in a Week 8 road matchup against the Falcons, meaningful production will remain hard to come by if Tagovailoa continues to struggle with ball security and efficiency.

Waddle secured six of eight targets for 95 yards in the Dolphins' 29-27 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He also completed an eight-yard pass attempt.

Waddle fell just short of his second consecutive 100-yard effort, but he still led the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon. The 2021 first-round pick has unsurprisingly seen an uptick in involvement during the first two full games Miami has played without Tyreek Hill (IR, knee), posting a combined 12-205-1 receiving line on 17 targets in that pair of contests. Waddle's clear-cut No. 1 receiver role should persist in a Week 7 road matchup against a talented Browns defense.

McLaughlin converted his only field-goal attempt from 53 yards out and didn't attempt an extra point during the Buccaneers' 24-9 loss to the Lions on Monday night.

The Buccaneers offense was surprisingly stymied by a short-handed Lions defense for significant portions of the night, and Tampa Bay went for a two-point conversion after its only touchdown, leaving McLaughlin without an extra-point attempt for the first time since Week 18 of the 2023 season. McLaughlin has been less accurate than usual over the first seven games this season with a 14-for-18 tally on field goals, but following Monday's successful make, he's a perfect 6-for-6 on kicks of 50-plus yards.

McLaughlin went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made all three of his PATs in Sunday's 30-19 win over the 49ers.

McLaughlin missed a 49-yard field-goal try early in the fourth quarter before making a 45-yarder later in the period. The kicker has had a rollercoaster ride of a season to this point, making 13 of 17 field-goal attempts, including 4-for-4 from 50-plus yards, while going 14-for-15 on PATs over six games this year.

Love completed 19 of 29 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Cardinals. He added 22 rushing yards on four carries.

Love completed 19 of 26 passes for 259 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 27-18 win over the Bengals. He added seven rushes for 26 yards.

Charbonnet took 12 carries for 49 yards and two touchdowns while catching both of his targets for six yards in Monday's 27-19 win over Houston.

Charbonnet rushed 12 times for 24 yards and brought in his only target for 13 yards in the Seahawks' 20-12 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.

Wilson had six carries for 17 yards and one reception for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 27-23 victory over the Cardinals.

Wilson rushed three times for 11 yards and caught his lone target for minus-four yards in Sunday's 27-18 win over the Bengals.

Higgins did not catch any of his three targets in Monday's 27-19 loss to the Seahawks in Week 7.

Higgins could be in line for more playing time in Monday's game at Seattle with Christian Kirk (hamstring) ruled out for the contest, Sam Warren of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Mitchell had one reception for eight yards on his only target in Sunday's 38-24 win over the Chargers.

Mitchell, who was inactive for the Colts' Week 6 win over the Cardinals, will play Sunday against the Chargers, while Indianapolis will be without Josh Downs (concussion) and Ashton Dulin (chest), James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
