QB	Goff, Jared DET Goff, Jared DET Jared Goff Responsible For Four Turnovers In Playoff Loss Sunday, January 19, 2025 12:06 AM Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 23 of his 40 pass attempts for 313 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions during Saturday's loss to the Washington Commanders. He also rushed for seven yards, took two sacks, and lost a fumble. It was an eventful day for Goff, whose first and only playoff game of the year ultimately resulted in an upset loss. He delivered four turnovers in the defeat, and he also missed a drive while being evaluated for concussion. Immediately upon being cleared to play, Goff didn't quite look like himself. Even when he started to find his groove again, he wasn't able to lead the Lions over the Commanders. He finished as the overall QB6 in fantasy football during the regular season, but his lone playoff appearance was one to forget. The veteran signal-caller could face some adversity this offseason if the Lions lose offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and have to implement a new offensive scheme. Still, he should rank as a low-end QB1 in 2025, largely thanks to his bevy of weapons. Goff sustained this injury after throwing an interception in the second quarter. Goff was sidelined for one offensive drive. Teddy Bridgewater took over starting duties. Through the first half, Goff has thrown for over 100 yards with 11 completions, a touchdown, and an interception. Jared Goff Being Evaluated For A Concussion Saturday, January 18, 2025 9:32 PM According to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff (concussion) is being evaluated for a concussion. Goff took a hard hit after throwing an interception in the second quarter. Veteran Teddy Bridgewater has taken over starting duties for the time being. Before exiting, Goff went 8-for-11 with 120 yards, a score and an interception. Bridgewater will continue to stat while Goff is sidelined. It's a season-long trend, despite the belief the former first-round pick would break out in his second season. Kincaid caught three passes against Denver in the Wild Card round. It's the 12th time he's logged four receptions or fewer this season. Kincaid's recurring appearance on the injury report with a knee ailment is a non-issue. He's fully practiced for weeks. However, it's difficult to envision a spot for him in DFS lineups given his subpar play. Dalton Kincaid An Unreliable DFS Option For Wild-Card Weekend Friday, January 10, 2025 4:23 PM Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid's (knee) stock took a tumble in his second professional season. The former first-round pick was a breakout candidate in August and September. Instead, he averaged 1.2 fewer catches and 7.6 yards than his rookie campaign, only finding the endzone twice. He's tallied more than four catches in just two games. The matchup against Denver and his recurring appearance on the injury report with a knee issue are non-concerns. Smith led the team in receiving during last week's Wild Card victory, catching all four of his targets for 55 yards. This came on the heels of an impressive close to the regular season, where he averaged 79.3 receiving yards per game and scored three touchdowns over his last three contests. With Jalen Hurts now fully recovered and the Eagles facing a Rams defense that has struggled against top-tier wideouts, Smith could be poised for another strong outing. DeVonta Smith Off The Injury Report Friday, January 10, 2025 4:14 PM According to the team, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (back) is off the injury report and does not have a designation for Sunday's playoff game against the Green Bay Packers. Smith popped up on the injury report on Friday with a back injury, but his absence from the final injury report suggests that his sitting out of practice was more rest-related. The former first-round pick enjoyed a fantastic finish to the season after struggling to find consistency early on. Over his final four games, Smith tallied four touchdowns, averaging 79.3 yards per game. During this span, he saw 8.3 targets per game and posted a strong 11.7 yards per catch. This was a nice increase compared to the 57.3 yards he averaged during the first nine games of the season. Smith should be viewed as a high-upside WR2 in DFS competitions this weekend despite facing a tough Green Bay secondary that has allowed the sixth-fewest PPR points to opposing wideouts. DeVonta Smith Missing Practice, Still Expected To Play Friday, January 10, 2025 1:09 PM Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (back) was held out of practice on Friday with back tightness, but he is still expected to play on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers on wild-card weekend. Smith had been battling a wrist injury late in the year and was rested in the Week 18 regular-season finale with the No. 2 seed in the NFC already locked up. He was not on the injury report earlier this week but is now battling what appears to be a minor back injury. Both Smith and A.J. Brown (knee) should be ready to play on Sunday, and they'll also be getting quarterback Jalen Hurts (concussion) back, making them both WR1 option in fantasy playoff lineups despite the fact that the Packers defense allowed the fifth-fewest half-PPR points per game to WRs in 2024. His touchdown came at the end of an impressive offensive play in which Jared Goff scrambled, threw while being tackled, and connected with LaPorta, who used his left hand to haul in the football and secure the catch. It was a valiant effort to give the Lions their only receiving touchdown of the game, but it wasn't enough. Detroit fell to Washington by two scores, ending their season shy of a Super Bowl berth once again. With that said, this Lions team continues to show plenty of promise ahead of the 2025 campaign. LaPorta himself was riding a hot stretch when the season ended, catching 38 passes for 392 yards and five touchdowns over his last seven contests. He should continue to rank as a mid-range TE1 ahead of next summer's fantasy drafts. Sam LaPorta Looks To Remain Dominant With High-Scoring Chance Friday, January 17, 2025 1:20 AM Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta remains a top option for fantasy managers and bettors ahead of Saturday's playoff game against the Washington Commanders. The second-year tight end exploded down the stretch, finishing as the overall TE3 in half-PPR leagues. He had two touchdowns over his final three games, and he amassed 24 catches for 281 yards over his last four contests. The Commanders have performed in a peculiar fashion against tight ends this year, surrendering the third-fewest catches and fifth-fewest receiving yards to opposing tight ends in 2024. Most important, however, is that Washington surrendered the fifth-most touchdowns to the position. LaPorta has a very strong chance to feast, especially as he continues to carve out an even larger role near the end zone. Sam LaPorta Hauls In All Seven Targets On Sunday Night Monday, January 6, 2025 1:09 AM Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta caught all seven of his targets for 63 yards during Sunday's Week 18 win over the Minnesota Vikings. LaPorta played a large role in helping the Lions secure the NFC's top seed, both this weekend and over a greater stretch of games. In fact, over the final six weeks of the regular season, he ranked first among tight ends in fantasy points (tied with Trey McBride). It was impressive to watch the 23-year-old overcome a tough start to 2024 and finish the season as one of fantasy football's most productive, impactful tight ends. He should remain in the mid-range TE1 tier for 2025, and this season should serve as a reminder to fantasy managers that LaPorta is a top fantasy option regardless of whether his role in the Detroit offense takes a little while to develop.
