Although Williams has not looked good carrying the ball so far in 2024, his fantasy managers have to be happy with the fact that he out-touched McLaughlin 16 to three in Week 2 after McLaughlin out-touched him in the season opener. The 24-year-old heads into a Week 3 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as Denver's lead back, but with rookie quarterback Bo Nix struggling to move the offense, it's hard to consider Williams as anything more than a low-upside RB3/flex.

The 24-year-old Williams faces a below-average matchup and should be considered a low-upside RB3/flex in another tough matchup in which Denver's offense could struggle to move the ball consistently.

The Broncos offense wasn't moving the ball at all in rookie first-round quarterback Bo Nix's NFL debut, and the Denver ground game was especially poor against a Seahawks defense that was very generous against the run in 2023. Williams should lead the Broncos backfield in touches on most weeks, but he faces another difficult matchup in Week 2 against the Steelers, where he should be considered an RB3/flex.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught one pass for nine yards in a 24-17 loss to the Jets in Week 2. It was the second straight near-dud for the veteran receiver, who could not get anything going on a day that where his teammate Calvin Ridley scored over 20 fantasy points. It's possible that Hopkins is still a bit slow to come back from the MCL injury, but it's concerning to record only two targets in an offense that is struggling to move the bar through the air. Levis and Hopkins showed some great chemistry last season, but Ridley seems to have snatched the crown from him in the Titans pecking order. With not many yards to go around, this is not a good sign for his rest-of-season outlook. Hopkins will look to rebound in Week 3 vs. Green Bay.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins faces the New York Jets and their stingy secondary in Week 2 of NFL action. The veteran receiver has been taken off the injury report completely after playing limited snaps against Chicago due to an MCL injury. That is wonderful news for both Hopkins managers and the Titans offense in general, which really struggled to move the ball downfield in Week 1. However, playing Hopkins against the Jets secondary that was #1 against opposing wideouts last year is not advisable. "Nuk" should be kept out of lineups this week.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) said his knee injury is a sprain similar to an ankle sprain, and it isn't a tear. Hopkins played in the Week 1 loss to the Chicago Bears despite entering with a questionable tag, but he played only 27% of the offensive snaps, which was fourth among Titans pass-catchers. It led to just one catch on his only target for an eight-yard gain. The 32-year-old veteran and five-time Pro Bowler clearly wasn't fully healthy. However, he's off the Week 2 injury report entirely and is expected to have a much bigger role in Week 2 against the New York Jets. Fantasy managers should expect Hopkins to be more involved on offense this Sunday, but his conditioning is still a question mark, and the matchup against the Jets isn't idea. Hopkins' fantasy stock is certainly down in 2024, but he should be a slightly more attractive WR4/flex another week removed from his knee sprain.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce caught one pass for five yards in the 26-25 win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. Kelce also added one rushing yard on one carry in this contest. The Chiefs tight end was targeted three times, but he and Mahomes could only connect once. This is a worrying follow-up to his disappointing Week 1 performance against the Baltimore Ravens. Kelce has four receptions for 39 yards and zero touchdowns through two games. It seems like Rashee Rice has supplanted Kelce as the top option for the Kansas City passing attack. Kelce will attempt to get back on track in next week's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends in 2023, so Kelce should have a favorable matchup. The 34-year-old may have to be downgraded in the tight end ranks until he shows signs of life. Kelce is still a must-start option but may not have TE1 overall upside in his current role.

The Ravens held Kelce to three catches for 34 yards in the season opener. Many middle-of-the-field passes went toward Rashee Rice instead of Kelce against the tough Baltimore defense. The Ravens likely planned to limit Kelce's impact on the Week 1 contest, considering he torched them for 116 yards and a touchdown in their last matchup. The Chiefs tight end will have a much easier opponent in Week 2. The Bengals gave up the most receptions and second-most receiving yards to tight ends in 2023. Kelce should be a focal point of the offense in Week 2, especially considering his pedestrian stat line in Week 1. Mahomes will look to connect with the All-Pro tight end often in this contest. Kelce is still a top-tier TE1 every week, regardless of the matchup.

The star tight end finished the game with four targets, good for second-most on the team, but was fourth in receiving yards. The tough Baltimore defense likely learned from their mistakes in the 2023 AFC Championship game, when Kelce had 11 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. The 34-year-old may be a declining talent while the rest of the Chiefs offense around him is ascending, but it will take more than one bad game to reach that conclusion. Kelce will get a chance to bounce back in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals gave up the third-most receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends in 2023. Kelce will still be ranked as a TE1 until proven otherwise.

Rice once again led the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards but was able to find the endzone in this contest. Rice's touchdown came on a 44-yard reception down the sideline in the second quarter. The second-year receiver has continued establishing himself as the top option in the Kansas City passing attack. Rice will look to continue his strong start against the Atlanta Falcons next week. The Falcons were one of the tougher matchups for wide receivers in 2023, allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts. Despite the matchup, Rice should still be an elite option at the wide receiver position due to his MVP-caliber quarterback and imaginative play-caller. Rice figures to rank as a fringe WR1 in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Rice's ability to produce yards after the catch makes him a reliable target for Patrick Mahomes in every contest. The Chiefs use him primarily out of the slot, which makes him a mismatch for the defense on most plays. Rice should continue to be the first or second read on every Mahomes dropback, which makes him one of the most valuable wide receivers for fantasy. Rice should be considered a strong start this week and every week.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice will likely not miss any time during the 2024 season as he awaits a trial date for his felony charges of street racing, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. Florio reports that a guilty plea in 2024 is unlikely as Rice has no official trial date. Florio's sources express that since the trial will not happen until December (at the earliest), there is no urgency to reach a plea deal. Florio further emphasized that Rice will likely be suspended at some time, but it is hard to picture that he will miss time this season. Fantasy managers who have Rice on their team should continue to follow any updates regarding his legal issues throughout the season in case he does miss time. After being a league-winner down the stretch last season, the 24-year-old continued his breakout run by catching seven passes for 103 yards in the season opener on Thursday. Rice should continue to be a lineup lock for the foreseeable future as he is shaping up to be Patrick Mahomes' go-to option in the passing game.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's matchup with the Cleveland Browns. The 23-year-old took a hard shot while returning a kick, with many assuming he suffered a concussion. However, it appears a shoulder injury is jeopardizing his availability for the remainder of Week 2. Bigsby had 12 carries for 73 yards in Week 1 versus the Dolphins. Yet, he has been quiet on Sunday. At any rate, fantasy managers could see D'Ernest Johnson backing up Travis Etienne Jr. for the remainder of the contest.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby had a surprising Week 1 performance against the Miami Dolphins, putting up 12 carries and a team-leading 73 rushing yards. After a good preseason, it was clear Bigsby would be the handcuff for Travis Etienne Jr., but not even the most optimistic of fantasy managers expected this kind of outing from the sophomore RB in Week 1. The backup back had just two fewer touches than starter Etienne Jr., who only had 59 total yards and a costly fourth-quarter fumble. The Auburn product had a forgettable rookie season, but this great Week 1 performance could mean a bounce-back year two. While starting him in Week 2 against the stout Cleveland Browns defense would be a huge overreaction, Bigsby is worth picking up as a bench stash, whether as a handcuff or an upside option for the future. Keep Bigsby on benches for now, but if he's still on waivers after the initial wave, he's worth picking up.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby started off the season in a big way by getting a 50-50 split in carries with incumbent starter Travis Etienne Jr. The second-year back finished with 12 carries that went for 73 yards, but he didn't see any targets in the passing game. The good news for fantasy managers with stock in Bigsby is that his efficiency was much better than Etienne's with 6.1 yards per carry versus 3.7. Game script, the hot hand, and plenty of other factors will dictate whether or not this 50-50 split continues, so it could be difficult to judge when Bigsby will have his bigger games. As long as they're not playing from behind too often, this ground game is likely to get a lot of work moving forward.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss had an underwhelming Week 2 showing versus the Chiefs. After finding the end zone in Week 1, the 26-year-old finished Sunday's contest by amassing 34 yards off 12 carries. With Tee Higgins (hamstring) sidelined, some believed Moss would have a more prominent role, especially as a pass-catcher. Yet, that didn't happen, with the 2020 No. 86 overall pick catching one pass for 13 yards. He still had more carries than Chase Brown, who had four touches for 31 yards. However, fantasy managers will still likely be nervous about Moss' potential in Week 3 against the Commanders. With that in mind, he still deserves at least flex consideration, although the topic can be revisited based on his performance after Monday night's showdown with Washington.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (neck) popped up on the injury report this week. Fortunately, he doesn't have an injury designation heading into Sunday's game against the Chiefs after practicing on Thursday and Friday. Most of the Bengals offense struggled in the Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. However, Moss was arguably the most productive for fantasy managers, with the 26-year-old amassing 44 yards and a touchdown off nine carries, adding two catches for 17 yards. But what stood out the most was Moss' workload, considering he finished the day by logging 33 snaps compared to the 17 from Chase Brown. Many had assumed both men would split carries evenly this season. Although that may be the case eventually, Moss remains the preferred fantasy option out of the duo. Nonetheless, despite the challenging matchup on the horizon against the defending champs, Moss has earned his way into nearly all fantasy lineups for Week 2.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss led his team in rushing on Sunday. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, with the Bengals dropping Week 1 to the Patriots. Tee Higgins (hamstring) didn't suit up, and Ja'Marr Chase (illness, hold-in) wasn't cleared until shortly before kickoff. As a result, Joe Burrow struggled. Despite the Bengals needing to play catch-up for most of the contest, Moss still had a decent fantasy showing, running for 44 yards off nine carries. He also found the end zone and brought in two passes for 17 yards. For the Bengals to get anything out of the backfield moving ahead, the team must get it together on the receiving end. For now, Moss remains a must-start in most fantasy setups in the Week 2 battle with the Chiefs. However, things may change if Higgins isn't cleared to play and Chase remains a limited participant at practice during the week.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston scored two touchdowns in a Week 2 win over the Carolina Panthers. Johnston led the team in targets, catches, yards, and scores in the easy win. He was targeted six times, making five catches for 51 yards and the two touchdowns. His first score came from 29 yards out in the first quarter and he followed it up with another touchdown in the second quarter from five yards out. The Chargers only attempted 20 passes compared to 44 rush attempts, and that looks like the pattern they'll follow most of the time going forward. Johnston could finally be working his way into fantasy relevance, but the Chargers pass catchers will be hard to project each week.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston will look to increase his momentum from a relatively solid performance in Week 1 when the Chargers take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 2. Johnston drew five targets in the season's opening game, making three catches for 38 yards. He was on the field for 67% of the team's offensive snaps. Johnston has shown that he is certainly able to get open against an NFL secondary, but actually catching the ball when it is thrown perfectly to him by an NFL quarterback has proven to be a challenge. Week 1 was a positive sign but certainly not yet enough to move him into starting lineups.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston didn't put together a standout performance in the opening win against the Las Vegas Raiders but established himself in the receiving order. The second-year wideout finished with three receptions for 38 yards on five targets. He had the second-most targets on the team, right after Ladd McConkey who received seven. The Chargers were in the lead for most of the second half while J.K. Dobbins had a huge day on the ground, so the passing game did take a backseat as seen by Justin Herbert's 26 attempts compared to 27 total carries. Johnston seems to be in line for more targets this year as the offense grows under the new coaching regime, but he would be more viable in deeper fantasy leagues.
