Daniels returned from a two-week absence due to a knee injury in order to lead his team to its third win of the season. The dual-threat sophomore could be primed for his finest fantasy outing under the bright lights of Monday Night Football in Week 6 when the Commanders host a Bears defense that is surrendering 389.0 yards of offense to opponents this season.

Coach Dan Quinn said Daniels will wear a brace on his left knee in his return to action Sunday at the Chargers, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

Daniels came out of a Week 2 loss at Green Bay with a sprained knee and missed the next two games as a result. With a trio of full practices under his belt this week, though, he's good to go for Week 5 action. The skill positions for the Commanders have taken a hit since Daniels' last game action, as RB Austin Ekeler is out for the season due to a torn Achilles and WRs Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (groin/knee) didn't make Thursday's trip to Los Angeles. As a result, Daniels' top targets Sunday will be WR Deebo Samuel (heel) and TE Zach Ertz.

Daniels also will be working without at least two of his top pass catchers Sunday against the Chargers, as Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (knee/groin) didn't travel with the team to Los Angeles and Deebo Samuel (heel) has yet to practice this week.

Etienne rushed four times for 22 yards and caught his only target for seven yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Dolphins.

With Chuba Hubbard (calf) sidelined Sunday, the rookie running back from Georgia logged a career-high 12 offensive snaps. However, this increase in playing time didn't translate to production, as Etienne recorded just five touches. He was overshadowed by Rico Dowdle, who tallied 232 total yards on 26 touches while making his first start as a Panther. Even if Hubbard remains out in the Week 6 matchup against the Cowboys, Etienne is expected to continue playing a depth role in Carolina's backfield.

Etienne rushed seven times for 33 yards during Sunday's 42-13 loss to the Patriots.

With the Patriots holding a 36-point lead early in the fourth quarter, Etienne saw increased offensive work as Carolina benched its starters. The 2025 fourth-round pick played a career-high 11 offensive snaps and rushed for 33 yards, highlighted by a 22-yard carry. However, he was still out-touched by Chuba Hubbard (13 touches) and Rico Dowdle (10 touches), indicating that he remains firmly behind them in the Panthers' backfield. Etienne is likely to remain a depth option while continuing to operate as the team's top return man heading into a Week 5 matchup against the Dolphins.

Ertz failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Chargers.

Despite Jayden Daniels returning from a knee injury in Week 5, Ertz had his worst game of the season. He was targeted just once and didn't appear to be a part of the Commanders' offensive game plan. Ertz still logged 30 offensive snaps and operated as Washington's No. 1 tight end, playing ahead of John Bates (28 snaps) and Ben Sinnott (17 snaps). With both Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (groin/knee) sidelined Sunday, Ertz was expected to serve as one of the Commanders' primary receiving threats but failed to capitalize. He's likely to operate as Washington's top tight end again in the Week 6 matchup against the Bears.

Ertz caught two of four targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Falcons.

The 34-year-old tied Luke McCaffrey for the second-most receiving yards on the Commanders in Week 4, trailing Deebo Samuel's 72-yard performance. Although he ranked second on the team in yards, Ertz's performance was a little underwhelming considering two of the team's top three wideouts, Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (groin), were sidelined Sunday. Regardless, Ertz's target volume will likely stabilize when Jayden Daniels (knee) returns from injury, which could come in the Week 5 matchup against the Chargers.

Hubbard (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
