Lawrence completed 24 of 42 passes for 271 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions while adding two rushes for four yards in the Jaguars' 31-27 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. He also fumbled once but recovered.

Lawrence had the Jaguars in position for a win until the Bengals managed to rally behind Jake Browning on a 15-play, 92-yard touchdown drive. Lawrence put together an impressive performance overall that included touchdown passes to Dyami Brown (nine yards), Bhayshul Tuten (eight yards) and Travis Etienne (11 yards), but he also short-circuited two Jacksonville drives in the first half with interceptions at the Bengals' three-yard line and his own 34-yard line. The two plays would help lead to a combined 10 points for Cincinnati, certainly key developments in such a close game. Lawrence also continued to struggle in his connection with No. 1 receiver Brian Thomas (four catches on 12 targets), and the duo will encounter a tough defensive matchup in a Week 3 home date against the Texans next Sunday.

Lawrence completed 19 of 31 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown with one interception in Sunday's 26-10 win over the Panthers.

It was an odd game that saw the Jaguars take a 20-3 lead into halftime, but only after a lengthy weather delay in the middle of the second quarter due to lightning. Whether that delay impacted Lawrence's performance is tough to say, but he didn't need to do much in the second half. New coach Liam Coen led Baker Mayfield to a career-best season with the Buccaneers in 2024, and while he could eventually do the same for Lawrence, the jury is very much still out. Lawrence will look to deliver better numbers on the road Week 2 in what could be a barn burner against Joe Burrow and the Bengals.

Brown recorded 16 rushes for 47 yards in Sunday's 31-27 win over the Jaguars. He added two receptions on three targets for 18 yards.

Brown was the only Bengals running back to record a carry for the second straight game to begin the season. However, he was also extremely inefficient once again, averaging only 2.9 yards per attempt with a long of just 11 yards. This performance was a bit more justifiable, as Jake Browning entered the game halfway through the second quarter after Joe Burrow (toe) was sidelined, allowing the Jaguars to focus on short areas of the field defensively. The Bengals don't have strong alternatives to Brown for carries, but he now has only 90 rushing yards on 37 attempts across the first two games of the campaign.

Brown rushed the ball 21 times for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Browns. He added two receptions on three targets for eight yards.

The Bengals' offense was sluggish in their Week 1 win, and Brown's performance was a mix of positive and negative. He was very inefficient, averaging only 2.0 yards per carry with a long gain of eight yards. On the other hand, Brown was the only Bengals running back to get a carry, and he also converted a one-yard touchdown at the goal line. While the stat line wasn't particularly strong, Brown's usage will keep him locked in as one of the best fantasy options at the position.

Smith corralled four of six targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over Kansas City.

Smith finished as the Eagles' leading receiver in a game during which his team threw for just 101 yards. It was a marked improvement from the veteran starter following last Thursday's three-catch, 16-yard stinker in a win over the Cowboys. Expect Smith and the entire Philadelphia passing attack to be more involved next Sunday lining up opposite the Rams' high-powered passing attack.

Smith secured all three targets for 16 yards in the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.

As Smith's line corroborates, it was a quiet night for the speedster to open the 2025 campaign. Smith finished behind both Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert in receptions on the night, while No. 3 receiver Jahan Dotson outgained him by 43 yards on the same number of catches. Nevertheless, there's no question more productive days are ahead for Smith, and a Week 2 road rematch with a Chiefs team he recorded 69 yards and a touchdown against in Super Bowl LIX in February may provide just the platform for Smith's first noteworthy performance of the new season.

Penix completed 13 of 21 passes for 135 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's 22-6 win over the Vikings.

The Falcons played from ahead for the entire game, and the team was happy to rely on its running game. That limited Penix's pass attempts, though he wasn't all that efficient with his opportunity, averaging only 6.43 yards per attempt while primarily targeting short areas of the field. Atlanta may be able to control their Week 3 matchup against Carolina in similar fashion, which could lead to another quiet performance from Penix.

Penix completed 27 of 42 passes for 298 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions and rushed six times for 21 yards and another score in the Falcons' 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Atlanta.

Penix opened his first full season as a starter in fine fashion, looking poised and in command against a veteran, aggressive Buccaneers defense for most of the afternoon. The southpaw signal-caller leveraged Bijan Robinson's elite yards-after-catch skills on the opening drive, hitting his star running back for a 50-yard catch-and-run touchdown. Penix would go on to cap off an 18-play, 91-yard marathon drive in the fourth quarter with a four-yard touchdown run, and he then drove the Falcons a total of 60 yards in eight plays to put them in position for a would-be game-tying field goal that Younghoe Koo couldn't convert. Penix also lost Drake London to a shoulder injury for that final drive, and it remains to be seen if he'll have his top target available for a Week 2 road showdown with the Vikings next Sunday night.

Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson said Thursday that Penix, who did not suit up for any preseason action, is "ready to go" for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Buccaneers, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Penix said, "I pride myself to make sure that each and every week I'm always ready come game day," though he acknowledged that "the biggest difference is the reps," or lack thereof, as he prepares for the fourth regular-season start of his NFL career. The presence of star playmakers Bijan Robinson and Drake London will assist Penix in his goal of hitting the ground running, and it's encouraging that Darnell Mooney (shoulder) has returned to practice in a limited capacity and seems to have a shot at playing Week 1. On the other hand, Atlanta's offensive line had looked like one of the team's major strengths the entire offseason, but with Kaleb McGary (leg) now done for the year and swing backup Storm Norton (ankle) out 6-to-8 weeks, third-stringer Elijah Wilkinson is expected to start at right tackle. The lack of reliable blindside protection will be a notable hurdle for the southpaw signal-caller to overcome Sunday and throughout the 2025 campaign.

Lutz missed his lone field-goal attempt but made all four of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 29-28 loss to the Colts.

Lutz only field-goal attempt was a 42-yard try late in the fourth quarter that would have given the Broncos a five-point lead over the Colts. Instead, the veteran missed the kick, hitting the right upright in the process. The Colts would then go on to make a field goal of their own to win the game in walk-off fashion. With Denver's offense operating at a high level and finding the end zone on multiple occasions Sunday, Lutz was not relied upon as much as usual. The 31-year-old will look to get back on track when the Broncos visit the Chargers in Week 3.

Lutz went 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made both of his extra-point tries in Denvers' 20-12 win over the Titans on Sunday.

Lutz's 39-yard field goal tied the game 3-3 in the first quarter, and his 33-yard make gave the Broncos a 13-12 lead in the third quarter. Lutz is in his third season with Denver. He made 31 of 34 field goals and all 46 of his extra points last season.

Stafford completed 23 of 33 passes for 298 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 33-19 win over the Titans.

Stafford (back) completed 21 of 29 pass attempts for 245 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 14-9 victory over the Texans.

Stafford (back) isn't listed on the Rams' initial Week 1 practice report Wednesday, thus paving the way for him to start Sunday against the Texans, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
