Despite running behind an inconsistent offensive line all year, the 23-year-old put together a top-10 fantasy running back season and figures to be a solid option again in 2025.

Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane finished with his second-worst fantasy output of the season Sunday at Cleveland, gaining 25 rushing yards and catching only two passes for another 13 yards in the 20-3 victory. The electric back was a victim of circumstances outside of his control, as the Miami offense shifted into survive-and-advance mode without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip). Cleveland keyed on Achane and dared quarterback Tyler Huntley to beat them, and the backup did just that, completing 22 of 26 passes, leading the team with 52 yards rushing, and accounting for two second-half touchdowns. Unfortunately for managers who relied up Achane in the championship round, the quarterback change was awful timing. Miami has not yet revealed which quarterback will start in Week 18 against the New York Jets.

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said on Wednesday that the plan is to bring wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. back for the 2025 season. After signing receiver Brandon Aiyuk (knee) to a hefty extension before the start of the 2024 season, it was assumed that the Niners would likely move on from Samuel heading into 2025 given his significant salary-cap hit. In addition to the decision regarding the future of Samuel, who missed the Week 18 regular-season finale due to rib and wrist injuries, the 49ers will also be navigating a long-term extension for quarterback Brock Purdy. If the Niners change their mind on the 28-year-old Samuel, he could be a trade candidate with one year left on his deal. In 15 games in 2024, he had 51 catches for 670 yards and only three touchdowns despite Aiyuk and running back Christian McCaffrey (knee) missing significant time with injuries.

Especially when considering the injuries to running back Christian McCaffrey (knee) and receiver Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Samuel's 51-670-3 line as a receiver in 15 games was a huge disappointment for the 49ers and fantasy managers alike.

Backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs has already been named the starter with Brock Purdy (elbow) likely to be shut down, so Samuel's already shaky fantasy value will take another hit if he actually suits up this weekend. The 28-year-old has scored in back-to-back weeks, but on Sunday night he only caught one pass for five yards and had three carries for 16 yards. Samuel will be a touchdown-dependent WR3/flex if he faces Arizona in the regular-season finale.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed looks to right the ship following a backslide in regular season production as the Packers head to Philadelphia to play the Eagles in their Wild-Card game on Sunday afternoon. Reed's skills weren't utilized much after the Packers' Week 10 bye as he put up just one fantasy finish among the top 30 wide receivers. In the final eight games of the season, Reed averaged 3.5 targets, 2.4 receptions, and 36 total yards per game as the Packers leaned heavily on the run game. With Christian Watson (knee) out for the season with a torn ACL, there could be more opportunities for targets for the Packers' pass-catchers. Still, Reed is a high-ceiling option that comes with a shockingly low points floor. For playoff contests and DFS, Reed is a boom-or-bust sleeper option during Wild Card Weekend.

Reed caught both of his targets for 48 yards, the majority coming from a 31-yard deep grab late in the first half from backup quarterback Malik Willis. Also taking three carries for three yards, Reed saw more touches running the ball than in the passing game, which illustrates his second half of the season. The Packers' passing game has been very spotty over the second half of the season and in turn, has made it difficult to rely on any of the top receiving options in the Packers' offense. With the Packers heading to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in the Wild Card round, consider Reed a low-end receiver play for playoff contests.

With a strong running game featuring a flourishing Josh Jacobs, quarterback Jordan Love hasn't needed to pass as much as when they do, targets are usually spread out amongst multiple weapons. For Week 18, Reed is more of a risky low-end flex for fantasy knowing how low the floor is with the Packers' wide receivers.

It was a disappointing ending to a season where Waddle was at career lows in all major receiving statistics. He failed to reach 1000 yards for the first time as a pro and finished third on the team in receiving yards behind Jonnu Smith. With Tyreek Hill making it abundantly clear that he wants to be traded out of Miami, there's a chance Waddle can return to being the WR1 for the first time since 2021. Tua Tagovailoa missing four games heavily contributed to Waddle's decline, but he looks to head into 2025 fully healthy. He will look to start fresh and return to his old self when the season returns in September.

Miami Dolphins wide receivers Jaylen Waddle (knee) and Tyreek Hill (wrist, illness) are officially active for Sunday's Week 18 contest against the New York Jets. Both players had been listed as questionable, but they will suit up with the AFC's No. 7 seed on the line. While Hill and Waddle are playing Sunday, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is not, so the two receivers will be catching passes from Tyler Huntley. Hill ranks as a mid-to-low WR2 while Waddle belongs in the WR3/FLEX range.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is expected to miss his second straight game, so Waddle could be taking passes from backup Tyler Huntley while potentially dealing with a limited snap count.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts caught two passes for 15 yards and no scores in Sunday's 44-38 overtime loss to the Panthers. Even though Darnell Mooney (shoulder) missed the contest and Michael Penix Jr. tallied 38 pass attempts, Pitts would garner only three targets in the game. It puts an end to another disappointing season for the former first-round draft pick who put up over 1,000 yards receiving in his rookie season back in 2021, but no more than 667 in any season since then including this year's total of 602. The 24-year-old managed four scores on the year, but finishes as a mid-range TE2 for fantasy. Perhaps next season he and Penix Jr. can develop some chemistry, but it seems we've seen the peak already for the 6-foot-6 tight end.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts caught four of five passes from Michael Penix Jr. last week, going for 44 yards and a TD, however, the week before he caught a single pass from the lefty QB. So, there still isn't consistent involvement with his new QB yet, and it would be hard to trust him in the final week of the season as the 6-foot-6 pass catcher has produced five games of one catch or fewer in the last eight, while his TD last week was his first since Week 8. The 24-year-old does draw a favorable matchup, though, as the Falcons take on the Panthers in a must-win game to finish off the regular season. The Panthers have allowed the second-most fantasy production to TEs this season, and Pitts hauled in three catches for 70 yards earlier this season against them. Additionally, Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was a DNP on Friday and looks to be very questionable. If Mooney doesn't go, that should free up some targets for the other receivers. It won't feel comfortable doing it, but if there was a week to use Pitts, this could be it. The former first-round draft pick should be viewed as a high-end TE2 this week.

It's probably a long shot, though, but the 24-year-old does draw a favorable matchup next week against the Panthers in a must-win game for the Falcons. Carolina is one of the worst teams in allowing production to tight ends, although they allow production to all positions, so the Falcons should have multiple paths to victory.
