The Dallas Cowboys have allowed 17 receptions to running backs this season, the fifth-lowest mark in the league. However, the 222 yards they've given up to the position is the sixth-most. Even if Gibbs can't break off a long reception, the Cowboys' defense is banged up and has been susceptible against the run. Gibbs and his counterpart David Montgomery should be viewed as top-12 running backs this week.

Both running backs should be extremely productive moving forward. Once Gibbs gets more looks in the passing game out of the backfield, he profiles as one of the top fantasy options at the position.

Jahmyr Gibbs has been featured in the Lions' backfield so far this season alongside David Montgomery and that should continue to be the case in Week 4. The versatile running back had a season-high 16 carries against the Cardinals in Week 3 and scored a touchdown on a lateral play after a catch by Amon-Ra St. Brown. He had 20 total touches in Week 2 and 15 touches in Week 1, so expect him to continue to be a focal point of the Lions offense and remain involved in the passing game. As always, Montgomery will be involved as well. But expect the Lions to pound the ball on the ground despite having center Frank Ragnow (pectoral) already ruled out for Monday's game. The absence of Ragnow could hurt the rushing attack but the Lions have a well-balanced offensive line and Gibbs can always fall back on his pass-catching chops out of the backfield. Gibbs should continue to be started with confidence.

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore delivered his best performance of the season against his former team, the Carolina Panthers. He caught five passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns, igniting the Bears' scoring with a 34-yard touchdown in the first quarter and adding another 30-yard touchdown reception just before halftime. Moore set a season high in receiving yards, solidifying his status as the clear top target in a Bears receiving corps that also features Keenan Allen and rookie first-round pick Rome Odunze, who collectively managed 73 yards on 12 targets during the game. This marked Moore's first 100-yard game of the season and the sixth since he joined the Bears last year. Notably, it was only the second time he's scored multiple touchdowns in a game with the team. After a slow start to the season, which included a wait until Week 4 to find the end zone, Moore is building a strong connection with quarterback Caleb Williams. This momentum bodes well for Moore as he heads into a favorable Week 6 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With his performance, McBride is arguably the top fantasy tight end and a must-start against the Green Bay Packers next week in Week 6.

McBride will try to pump some life into this Cardinals offense that has gone cold over the last two games.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride (ribs) is expected to play in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers despite being listed as questionable, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. McBride missed last Sunday's game with a concussion and cleared concussion protocol earlier this week, but then he was added back to the injury report with a ribs issue. In the end, though, the injury won't be serious enough to keep him sidelined for additional games. He'll suit up against the 49ers, giving Arizona an extra boost on offense as they take on a talented NFC West foe. McBride, who has 14 catches and 122 yards through three games, should be treated as a mid-range TE1 in fantasy football.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) would practice on Wednesday. Richardson injured his oblique in the Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers but then was inactive for last week's loss to the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars. However, the 22-year-old second-year signal-caller was limited all of last week in practice, so if he takes a step forward this week, he'll have a legitimate chance to return to action in Week 6 versus the division-rival Tennessee Titans. Steichen said earlier this week that Richardson will reclaim his gig as the team's starting QB once he gets past his oblique injury, sending veteran Joe Flacco back to the bench. If Richardson gets more done in practice this week and returns on Sunday against the Titans, he'll be on the QB1/2 borderline for fantasy managers after a rough start in 2024.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen confirmed that when quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) is healthy, he will remain the team's starter. Richardson was forced from the Colt's matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers with what was initially labeled a hip injury. In his absence, Joe Flacco has thrown for 527 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions in less than two full games of action. Despite this, Indianapolis will continue to roll with their second-year quarterback, who has yet to eclipse three passing scores on the year while already tossing six interceptions. As exciting as the 22-year-old is to watch, it would appear that Flacco gives the Colts a better chance to win games and is a bigger boost to his surrounding skill players -- particularly the wide receivers -- for fantasy. The Florida product isn't expected to be sidelined long, and projects to be back this Sunday when Indianapolis faces the Tennessee Titans on the road. This situation will become more evident when the Colts release their week's first injury report on Wednesday.

According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, the Colts could get quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) back in the lineup for the Week 6 matchup with the Titans. The signal-caller suffered an oblique injury during the Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fortunately, Glazer indicated the injury isn't expected to keep him out for long. In the meantime, veteran Joe Flacco, who got the start in Week 5 versus Jacksonville, will operate under center and is worth adding to multi-quarterback fantasy formats as long as Richardson remains on the shelf.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught one of his three targets for 16 yards in a 34-13 loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 5. Jeudy was held to his worst output of the season despite a plus matchup against a leaky Washington secondary in the loss. The veteran wideout has been quite boom/bust this season as he's gotten to at least 72 yards in two games while being held to 27 yards or fewer in his other three contests. Jeudy will look to bounce back in Week 6's road matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (knee) will head into Week 5's matchup against the Washington Commanders without an injury designation after practicing fully all week despite being listed with a knee issue. Jeudy draws a fantastic matchup against a Washington defense that is allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers through four games. Jeudy has been a solid contributor for the Browns this season, going for at least 72 receiving yards or a touchdown in three of his four games. Fantasy gamers should feel confident starting Jeudy as a fantasy WR3 heading into Week 5.

Jeudy wound up leading the Browns in receiving yardage and targets while finishing behind only Jerome Ford in catches in the close loss. The veteran wideout has been a solid addition to the Cleveland offense this season, reaching at least 72 receiving yards in two of his four games while catching one touchdown. Jeudy remains behind Amari Cooper in the receiver pecking order but the Browns have been throwing the ball frequently enough to allow him to produce solid fantasy numbers. Jeudy will be a solid WR3 heading into a plus matchup against the Washington Commanders in Week 5.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette (shoulder) exited the Week 5 game against the Chicago Bears with a shoulder injury, but he is practicing on Wednesday to begin Week 6 preparation. The rookie first-round pick out of South Carolina had the best performance of his career in Week 4, catching six of his 10 targets for 66 yards and a touchdown. Carolina's offense looked strong under quarterback Andy Dalton against the Raiders and Bengals before being held to just 10 points in the blowout loss to Chicago. If Legette can suit up on Sunday, he'll face an Atlanta Falcons defense that has surrendered the 12th-most fantasy points per game to wideouts. With Adam Thielen (hamstring) on the Injured Reserve list, Legette is a fine flex option, but he has a WR4/WR5 outlook.UPDATE: Legette practiced in full on Wednesday.

Per Joe Person of the Athletic, Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette (shoulder) said he is expected to undergo imaging on Monday for his AC-joint injury. The rookie wideout exited Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Chicago Bears late in the first half, ending his day with one catch on one target for eight yards. Earlier reports from Legette confirmed he expects to play in Week 6 when the team lines up to face the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday. However, Carolina is at least moderately concerned about the 23-year-old's shoulder. In his absence, wide receiver Jalen Coker saw an uptick in snaps, leading the team in receptions (four) and yards (68). Coker would likely play in three-wide receiver sets again, along with Diontae Johnson and Jonathan Mingo, if Legette were to miss more time. For now, Legette is considered day-to-day.

Legette commanded 10 targets and found the end zone last week, so he could return to the low-end WR3 tier if the Panthers are able to get back on track in Week 6.

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch for Week 5 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Dulcich impressed early in the season but hasn't caught a pass over the last two weeks. He saw his snap share drop to 25 percent in Week 3, and that number only increased slightly to 39 percent last Sunday. Adam Trautman, who has just one reception this year, figures to lead the Broncos' tight end unit against Las Vegas. Trautman, Dulcich, and all other Denver tight ends remain off the fantasy radar.

Dulcich enters this weekend outside of the top-50 tight ends in half-PPR scoring, having caught five of his 12 targets for 28 yards and no touchdowns through four weeks. All of his production came in the first two weeks of the season against the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers. In the last two games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets, the team's two wins, Dulcich has no catches on just one target. Denver's low-scoring offense has not had nearly enough passing volume with rookie quarterback Bo Nix to support more than one fantasy relevant pass-catcher. The 24-year-old Dulcich belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich failed to haul in his only target of the day in Sunday's 10-9 upset win over the New York Jets on the road on Sunday. Both teams struggled to move the ball on a rain-soaked afternoon in the Big Apple, with Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix throwing for a total of 60 yards. Dulcich had five catches on 11 targets for 28 yards through the first two weeks of the season, but he has zero catches on just one target in the last two weeks as Nix continues to struggle as a passer early in his NFL career. Things are looking up for this lackluster offense with a Week 5 divisional clash at home against the Las Vegas Raiders, but Dulcich shouldn't be anywhere near starting fantasy lineups, even in two-TE leagues. Nix can barely support one receiver in fantasy, let alone an oft-injured tight end.
