Lawrence still is a work in progress in head coach Liam Coen's offense, but he completed a season-best 72.0 percent of his passes Monday night ahead of a Week 6 home matchup against a Seahawks defense that allowed the Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield to complete 29 of 33 passes for 379 yards and two TDs in Seattle's Week 5 loss.

Lawrence completed 21 of 31 pass attempts for 174 yards and a touchdown while taking seven carries for seven yards in Sunday's 26-21 win over the 49ers.

Lawrence played the role of game manager Sunday, protecting the football with safe, short throws en route to Jacksonville's third win of the season. It was still a lackluster showing from a fantasy perspective after the fifth-year pro failed to score multiple touchdowns for the third time in four starts this year. Lawrence has the Jaguars atop the AFC South, but his play does not inspire much optimism in fantasy circles heading into a tough matchup against Kansas City next Monday.

Dowdle rushed 23 times for 206 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of four targets for 28 yards in the Panthers' 27-24 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Stepping into the lead-back role in place of Chuba Hubbard (calf), Dowdle exceeded all expectations in his first opportunity to helm the ground attack in Carolina. Dowdle repeatedly knifed the Dolphins' front seven for big gains, including 43- and 53-yard scampers. Dowdle's otherworldly performance raises an intriguing dilemma for head coach Dave Canales whenever Hubbard is healthy again, but the Panthers can certainly afford to give the latter time to fully heal, especially with Dowdle next getting a crack at the inconsistent defense of his former Cowboys squad in a Week 6 home matchup.

Coach Dave Canales said Dowdle will start Sunday against the Dolphins with fellow RB Chuba Hubbard (calf) ruled out for the contest, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

Hubbard wasn't able to practice this week due to a lingering calf injury, and while he'll be inactive this weekend, Canales labeled him "day-to-day," meaning Dowdle's time as the Panthers' No. 1 backfield option may be contained to one game. In reserve role this season, Dowdle has averaged 3.0 yards on his 28 carries, hauled in five of six targets for 20 yards and scored a rushing touchdown in four games. Having said that, he racked up 1,079 rushing yards last year as the Cowboys' primary RB, so he can handle a large workload if needed. Trevor Etienne and DeeJay Dallas will be on hand for any reps that don't go to Dowdle.

Dowdle is expected to serve as the Panthers' starting running back for Sunday's game against the Dolphins with Chuba Hubbard (calf) likely to be sidelined for the Week 5 contest, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

Hubbard didn't take part in practices Wednesday and Thursday, and unless he takes a dramatic step forward in his activity Friday, he could be ruled out for Sunday's contest heading into the weekend. After signing a one-year, $2.75 million deal with Carolina in the offseason, Dowdle has served as Hubbard's top backup through the first four games, carrying 28 times for 83 yards (3.0 YPC) and a touchdown to go with five catches for 20 yards on six targets. Despite his poor efficiency so far with Carolina, Dowdle is coming off a 1,079-yard rushing season with Dallas and is likely to rank as the Panthers' preferred option out of the backfield ahead of fourth-round rookie Trevor Etienne, who has primarily served as a return specialist through the first four weeks and didn't see his first extended action on offense until garbage time of the Panthers' 42-13 loss to the Patriots last Sunday.

Wilson caught six of 10 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-22 loss to the Cowboys.

Rookie tight end Mason Taylor actually led the Jets in targets with 12 and catches with nine, but Wilson once again paced the team in receiving yards and was on the other end of Justin Fields' second TD toss of the afternoon on New York's final possession. While he has yet to hit 100 yards in a game this season, Wilson will take an impressive 33-382-4 line on 48 targets into a Week 6 tilt with Patrick Surtain and the Broncos' stingy secondary.

Wilson hauled in six of eight targets for 82 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-21 loss to Miami.

Wilson welcomed back QB Justin Fields (concussion) with open arms after the duo connected in the end zone for the second time this season (third overall for Wilson). The star wideout scored in spectacular fashion when he caught a high-point pass through a defender's arm while barely dragging both of his feet in bounds. He did have a second potential score erased by an offensive pass interference penalty. Wilson is now up to 311 yards and three touchdowns through four starts as the Jets continue to force feed him the ball in failed comeback attempts. Fantasy managers should treat the Ohio State product as a WR1 in another soft matchup versus the Cowboys on Sunday.

Jennings (ankle/rib) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.

Jennings has been dealing with a rib injury since taking a big hit in the second half of a Week 4 loss to the Jaguars, which held him out of the 49ers' Week 5 win at the Rams and didn't allow him to practice until this Thursday. According to Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News, GM John Lynch noted earlier Thursday that Jennings may return to action Sunday at Tampa Bay. Ultimately, Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not Jennings has a chance to play this weekend.

Jennings (ankle/rib) returned to practice Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

This marks Jennings' first on-field work since Week 4 prep as he tends to lingering ankle and rib injuries. GM John Lynch said earlier Thursday that Jennings may be limited at the 49ers' upcoming session and also return for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, per Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News. The team's second Week 6 practice report will reveal Jennings' activity level Thursday, but he likely will need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid a designation entering the weekend.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Jennings (ankle/ribs) won't participate in Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

The same can be said for QB Brock Purdy (toe) and WR Ricky Pearsall (knee), but unlike those two players, Shanahan didn't provide insight into Jennings' chance to return to action this weekend. Having said that, Jennings likely will need to mix into drills Thursday and/or Friday to put himself in a position to play Sunday at Tampa Bay. In three games this season, Jennings has put together a modest 9-129-1 line on 19 targets.

Butker did not attempt a field goal and went 4-for-4 on extra-point tries in Monday's 31-28 loss to the Jaguars.

Butker went without a field-goal try for the first time this season after having attempted at least two in each of the team's first four games of the year. The kicker will enter Week 6 having gone 10-for-13 on field-goal attempts, including 3-for-5 from 50-plus yards, while making 11 of 13 PATs over five contests this season.

Butker made 3-of-4 field-goal attempts and all four extra-point tries in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Ravens.

In fairness to the Chiefs' longtime kicker, his miss Sunday was from 56 yards. At the same time, he's now missed a kick in every game this season and is just 10-for-13 on field goals and 7-of-9 on extra-point tries in 2025. Butker will try to get back on track next Monday night against the Jaguars.
