Herbert completed two of five passes for 46 yards in Saturday's 23-22 preseason loss to the Rams.

Herbert made a brief appearance, leading one drive that went nine plays and 51 yards. Though his completion percentage left something to be desired, Herbert displayed plenty to be encouraged about, connecting early with Ladd McConkey on a short pass before hitting KeAndre Lambert-Smith for a 29-yard gain down the left sideline. Herbert may not see the field again until the regular season, but he appears ready to roll if that is the case.

Herbert will start Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.

With regard to to the Chargers' approach to the contest, coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed Thursday, "We're going to play starters on Saturday." As for Herbert, who is in line to make his first-ever preseason appearance, Harbaugh said that the QB is expected to play "a series, could be two," along with the team's other offensive starters. Beyond that, Harbaugh expects both Trey Lance (hand) and Taylor Heinicke to log snaps this weekend.

Herbert won't play in Sunday's preseason game against the Saints, NFL.com reports.

Taylor Heinicke will get the start, after Trey Lance started the Hall of Fame Game a week earlier. It remains to be seen if Herbert will take some snaps in the Chargers' third or fourth preseason games.

Chicago's offense looked sharp in its brief debut Sunday, but Odunze didn't contribute much offensively before giving way to the backups. The 2024 first-round selection has been earning rave reviews in camp, so don't let this bagel in an exhibition game sour his fantasy stock. Odunze will serve as the Bears' No. 2 wideout this upcoming season in what should be an improved offense under head coach Ben Johnson.

Odunze is expected to play along with the rest of Chicago's starters during Sunday's preseason game against the Bills, Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The Bears did not play their first-team offense or defense during last Sunday's 24-24 tie versus Miami, so Odunze has yet to suit up this preseason. The second-year wideout collected 54 of 101 targets for 734 yards and three touchdowns over 17 regular-season games as a rookie, and he's stood out while catching passes from quarterback Caleb Williams during training camp practices. Odunze should be in line for a productive season as Chicago's No. 2 WR behind DJ Moore and ahead of second-round rookie Luther Burden and veteran Olamide Zaccheaus.

Odunze made a strong impression Thursday, hauling in a 14-yard gain over the middle to start the end-of-half drill. He also adjusted to a pass behind him, ripping it away from a defender to move the chains, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.

Odunze is trying to build on a 2024 rookie season where he posted 734 receiving yards, showing the contested-catch skills that helped him stand out at times last year. His growing chemistry with Caleb Williams suggests a path to steady production, particularly with his ability to win tough catches in traffic. That skill set makes him a viable mid-round fantasy target with upside if the Bears' passing game progresses.

Harvey rushed three times for 18 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for two yards in the Broncos' 27-7 preseason win over the Cardinals on Saturday night.

Harvey, the first running back in the game for Denver, made good use of his trio of rushes, capping off a first-quarter drive he started with a two-yard catch by recording an eight-yard touchdown run up the middle. The rookie second-round pick saw a bit less work than in the preseason opener against the 49ers, but that could simply be a sign Harvey is already locked into what will likely be relatively high-volume No. 2 role behind J.K. Dobbins to open the season. Given his importance to the offense, Harvey may not see the field in Denver's preseason finale against the Saints on the road next Saturday afternoon.

Harvey had a prominent role in the Broncos' first possession, logging Denver's first touch and gaining three yards on that carry, then recording two more rush attempts totaling eight more yards later in the drive. The rookie second-round pick finished second in carries to Audric Estime, and he'll continue jostling for slotting in a busy Broncos backfield during the second preseason game against the Cardinals next Saturday night.

Harvey is listed fifth on Denver's initial preseason depth chart even though he's been repping as the No. 2 RB in practice, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Multiple Denver beat writers have noted that coach Sean Payton almost always puts rookies at the bottom of the depth chart. Reports out of practice tell a different story than what's printed, with J.K. Dobbins atop the rotation and Harvey typically the second man up. The real question is how work will be split between the two come Week 1, although there is some chance Jaleel McLaughlin or one of the other depth backs poaches a few touches here and there. While Harvey is the clear choice in terms of explosiveness at this point in their respective careers, Dobbins has experience as an NFL starter and a solid reputation for pass blocking. That's seemingly enough to make Dobbins a favorite for the Week 1 start, even if Harvey remains the more attractive fantasy asset for the season-long haul.
