Ryan Miller: Gets into end zone Monday
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 6:17 PM

Miller secured his only target for a 20-yard touchdown in the Buccaneers' 20-19 win over the Texans on Monday night.

Miller was in on 18 of 80 snaps from scrimmage and made good use of his one opportunity, coming down with a Baker Mayfield scoring strike along the back right of the end zone in the first quarter. The Furman product now has three touchdown receptions on 13 career NFL catches, but as the Buccaneers' receiver corps gets healthier in coming weeks with the anticipated season debuts of Chris Godwin (ankle) and Jalen McMillan (IR-neck), Miller will find snaps, targets and perhaps even active status hard to come by.

Sterling Shepard: Remains involved in Week 2 win
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 6:13 PM

Shepard secured all four targets for 34 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-19 win over the Texans on Monday night.

The veteran wideout finished tied for third in receptions and enjoyed the same slotting in receiving yards as well while playing on a robust 60 of 88 snaps from scrimmage. A relationship with Baker Mayfield that dates back to their college days -- and that served as the foundation for Shepard being coaxed out of semi-retirement last season -- has paid off to an extent over the first two games of the new campaign, as Shepard sports a 7-73 line on 10 targets. The 32-year-old is likely to continue seeing a handful of targets as the de facto No. 3 receiver while at least one of Chris Godwin (ankle) or Jalen McMillan (IR-neck) remains sidelined.

Cade Otton: First three catches of season
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 6:09 PM

Otton brought in three of four targets for 25 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-19 win over the Texans on Monday night.

Otton recorded a robust 91 percent snap share (73 snaps) on the night and was able to get on the stat sheet for the first time in 2025 with his trio of catches. Backup tight end Payne Durham logged just 17 snaps (21.0 percent share), so Otton remains the clear-cut top pass-catching option at the position, although it's disappointing to see he's only drawn seven targets through two games despite the absences of Chris Godwin (ankle) and Jalen McMillan (IR-neck).

Jayden Reed: Gets foot, clavicle surgeries
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 6:01 PM

Reed announced Tuesday via social media that he underwent successful surgeries to repair a fractured collarbone and a Jones fracture in his left foot.

Multiple reports had previously suggested that Reed would undergo surgery after fracturing the collarbone in last Thursday's win over the Commanders, but it wasn't known that he would get another procedure to address the foot fracture, which popped up during training camp. The multiple surgeries aren't expected to alter Reed's timeline for a return, which is estimated at 6-to-8 weeks. With Reed out of the picture for the next several games, the Packers will have more snaps at receiver available for the likes of Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath.

Tay Martin: Back with Washington
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 5:54 PM

The Commanders signed Martin to the practice squad Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.

Martin failed to make Washington's 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he's back with the team as a member of the practice squad. He has played in four regular-season games since signing with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in May of 2022.

Silas Bolden: Cut by Houston
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 5:51 PM

The Texans cut Bolden from the practice squad Tuesday, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bolden caught on with the Texans' practice squad in early September after failing to make the Vikings' 53-man roster at the end of training camp in late August. The undrafted rookie finds himself without a team once again, and he'll explore his next options to try and catch on with an organization in need of depth at wide receiver.

Gage Larvadain: Back with Cleveland
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 5:47 PM

The Browns signed Larvadain to the practice squad Tuesday.

Larvadain was cut by the Browns on Saturday despite making the initial 53-man roster out of training camp, but the undrafted rookie will stick around as a member of the team's practice squad. With DeAndre Carter in concussion protocol, Larvadain is a candidate to be elevated to the Browns' active roster for their Week 3 bout against the Packers on Sunday.

Braxton Berrios: Expected to play Week 3
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 5:44 PM

Head coach DeMeco Ryans said Tuesday that he expects Berrios (hamstring) to be available for the Texans' Week 3 AFC South clash against the Jaguars on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Berrios missed the first two games of the regular season due to a hamstring injury, but he is trending towards making his 2025 regular-season debut Sunday. The 2018 sixth-rounder signed a one-year contract with the Texans in March after spending the last two seasons with the Dolphins. When he does take the field, Berrios projects to serve in a rotational role on kickoff and punt returns and as a depth piece at wide receiver.

Dylan Laube: Could see more work on offense
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 5:40 PM

Laube finished Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers with two catches on as many targets for 17 yards and a solo tackle on special teams.

Both of Laube's catches came late in the second quarter while the Raiders attempted to put points on the board in a two-minute drill. Laube split his 24 snaps evenly between offense and special teams, but head coach Pete Carroll relayed Tuesday that the 2024 sixth-rounder could see more playing time on offense moving forward, per Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee. Laube is currently listed as the Raiders' RB3 behind rookie first-rounder Ashton Jeanty and Zamir White.

Kaleb Johnson: Relieved of return duties
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 5:36 PM

Head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Johnson "probably" won't be returning kickoffs against the Patriots in Week 3, Brooke Pryor of ESPN reports.

Johnson saw just six snaps (two on offense, four on special teams) during the Steelers' 31-17 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. Despite the limited playing time, the rookie third-rounder made a big impact in a bad way after allowing a ball that passed him on a kick return into the end zone, which led to George Holani recovering the ball for a Seattle touchdown. Johnson has turned two carries into minus-1 yard over the first two games of the regular season and is far from being involved in the Steelers' offense behind Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell on the backfield depth chart.
