Teddy Bridgewater: New backup for Goff
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 6:55 PM
Bridgewater has agreed to terms on a contract with the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Bridgewater previously spent time in Detroit as the backup to Jared Goff in 2023, and he returned to the NFL in 2025 to provide depth behind Baker Mayfield with the Buccaneers. Last year, across four regular-season appearances, Bridgewater completed eight of 15 pass attempts for 62 yards without a touchdown. He also carried the ball three times for four yards. The 33-year-old signal-caller is as experienced as backups come and will provide the Lions with stability in the event that Goff misses any time in 2026.

Skyy Moore: Expected to ink with Green Bay
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 6:47 PM
Moore has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Packers, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
Moore was productive while operating as a return man for the 49ers in 2025, totaling 907 kickoff-return yards and 291 yards fielding punts across 17 regular-season appearances. He also had five catches for 87 yards (seven targets) and two carries for 11 yards. Moore figures to primarily contribute in the return game again for his new team, as second-year wideout Savion Williams (foot) already projects within the Packers' plans for a gadget role on offense. Moore and Williams figure to also compete for opportunities returning kicks.

Jason Sanders: Joining G Men
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 6:15 PM
Sanders is signing a one-year deal with the Giants, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Sanders was Miami's kicker from 2018 to 2024, before missing the entire 2025 campaign with a hip injury. He returned to practice at the very end of the season, which suggests he should be back at full health a few months later. Sanders had a career year in 2024, converting 37 of 41 field-goal attempts for the Dolphins. His fantasy value in 2026 will depend on locking down the starting job and earning John Harbaugh's trust to try long kicks.

Jacoby Brissett: Expected to start over Minshew
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 6:11 PM
Brissett is on track to keep his starting job after the Cardinals settled for Gardner Minshew as their QB addition at the start of free agency, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
The catch is that Arizona still has time this offseason to add a third quarterback to the mix. Multiple reports suggest Minshew will come in behind Brissett on the depth chart, though Brissett hasn't been informed of any specific plans for the QB roles, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com. Brissett, 33, is entering the second season of a two-year contract, after providing competent QB play during a 2025 campaign where not much went right for the Cardinals. They ended up leading the league in pass attempts, but a new coaching staff may not be as quick to abandon the run, even in trailing game scripts. To that end, the Cardinals are signing power runner Tyler Allgeier to challenge James Conner (ankle) and Trey Benson (knee) in the backfield.

Michael Penix: Could lose job to Tua?
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 5:03 PM
Penix (knee) won't necessarily be Atlanta's starting quarterback once he's healthy, as new addition Tua Tagovailoa will get a real chance to earn the role, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
It looks like a good situation for Tagovailoa to rehab his value while Penix rehabs from the third ACL tear of his football career. Both are left-handed, theoretically making things easier for new head coach Kevin Stefanski, after his predecessors in Atlanta went back-and-forth between Penix and the right-handed Kirk Cousins for two years. That was hardly the only issue with Atlanta's passing game, as neither QB played particularly well, and WR depth was among the worst in the league. The Falcons are now signing WRs Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus to replace Darnell Mooney, but it'll be a while before Penix throws passes to his new teammates. Tagovailoa figures to handle first-team reps throughout the offseason program and into training camp, at the very least. Beyond that, a lot will depend on health, with both lefties sporting poor track records for availability.

David Moore: Re-signing with Carolina
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 4:36 PM
Moore agreed to terms Tuesday on a contract to remain with the Panthers, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Moore caught just one pass across four regular-season appearances in 2025. The depth wide receiver will likely reprise his role as an emergency option in 2026. Moore's deal is likely another one-year term around the league minimum, with additional money tied to incentives.

Romeo Doubs: Headed to New England
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 2:28 PM
Doubs and the Patriots have reached an agreement on a four-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The initial report has it as a four-year deal for "roughly" $70 million. In fantasy terms, this is about as good as it gets, with Doubs joining a receiver-needy offense that already has a franchise QB in place. He averaged 50.5 catches for 606 yards and 5.3 TDs on 80.0 targets in four seasons with Green Bay. The contract and situation in New England hint at some degree of upside for additional target volume, but it's also possible Doubs doesn't have much more to offer. If nothing else, he's a competent starter at a clear position of need, entering what should be his prime (Doubs will turn 26 in April).

Geno Smith: Joining Jets via trade
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 2:22 PM
New York have agreed to terms with the Raiders on a trade to acquire Smith and a 2026 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The next chapter of Smith's storied career will feature his return to the team that selected him in the second round of the 2013 Draft, and where he spent the first four years of his NFL career. Of course, it wasn't until his three years as a starter with Seattle from 2022-24 that Smith finally blossomed, earning two Pro Bowls and throwing for over 4,000 yards on two occasions. The 35-year-old signal-caller fell down to earth in rough fashion while playing behind Las Vegas' pourous offensive line in 2025, but the Jets will hope the veteran can find his footing again upon returning to New York, where he will benefit not only from superior protection behind a group anchored by tackles Olu Fashanu and Armand Membou, but also a pair of valuable offensive playmakers in WR Garrett Wilson (knee) and RB Breece Hall (knee). Smith's arrival may also mean Justin Fields (knee) is no longer in the team's plans.

Ka'imi Fairbairn: Extended by Houston
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 1:37 PM
Fairbairn and the Texans have agreed on a two-year deal for the kicker, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The contract is a two-year, $13 million extension, which makes Fairbairn the highest-paid kicker in the NFL. The 32-year-old made NFL history during the 2025 season by tying David Akers' 2011 record for most field goals in a single season with 44. This extension will likely provide continuity in special-teams production for the Texans as they chase a fourth consecutive playoff birth in the 2026 season.

Zane Gonzalez: Joining Dolphins on one-year deal
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 1:26 PM
Gonzalez has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Miami, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Gonzalez links forces with the Dolphins in advance of his age-31 season, coming off an impressive 2025 campaign in which he converted made 19 of 22 field-goal attempts and 17 of 18 point-after tries while logging nine regular-season appearances with the Falcons. Miami released longtime kicker Jason Sanders early March and faces the risk of losing Riley Patterson, who was tremendous as the team's starter in 2025, as a free agent. Gonzalez provides the Dolphins with a reliable starting option, though the team could still add competition at the position or work to re-sign Patterson.
