Skyy Moore: Handles return duties for SF
Monday, September 8, 2025 3:30 PM
Moore did not receive a target and returned five combined kicks for 63 yards in Sunday's 17-13 win over Seattle.
Moore latched on to San Francisco's 53-man roster in training camp, securing primary return man responsibilities in the process. The former Chief only logged three snaps on offense despite the 49ers being shorthanded at receiver to begin the year, wiping away any potential fantasy upside. Moore did put the ball on the ground on one of his five return attempts Sunday, but he was fortunate enough to recover his own mistake. The 24-year-old will continue serving as San Francisco's return specialist when the team travels to New Orleans in Week 2.

Younghoe Koo: ATL will work out kickers
Monday, September 8, 2025 3:29 PM
Coach Raheem Morris said Monday the Falcons will work out some kickers this week after Koo missed a 44-yard field-goal attempt late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 23-20 loss to Tampa Bay, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
"You have to say (Koo is the kicker) right now, but we'll work out some veterans, we'll work out some up-and-comers," Morris said, highlighting Lenny Krieg, who is on Atlanta's practice squad, as a "developing prospect" for the team. One of the more reliable kickers in the league from 2019-2023, Koo converted a career-worst 73.5 percent of his field-goal attempts last season, making just 25 of 34 such kicks. On Sunday against the Bucs, Koo connected from 41 and 36 yards before pushing the game-tying field goal wide right at the end of regulation. His grip on the job feels as if it's starting to slip.

Jake Tonges: Makes clutch TD grab Sunday
Monday, September 8, 2025 3:11 PM
Tonges hauled in all three of his targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-13 win over Seattle.
Tonges was forced into action after starter George Kittle (hamstring) exited the contest early. The 26-year-old Tonges did his best Kittle impersonation when he leaped for a high-point pass in the corner of the end zone and came down with the game-winning touchdown. Fellow backup TE Luke Farrell wound up playing more snaps (44) than Tonges (30), but the latter is the more-adept receiver for fantasy purposes. If Kittle is forced to miss any time, then Tonges could generate some value in deeper formats, but his ceiling would be capped by the timeshare he would likely operate under.

Isaac Guerendo: Limited to special teams
Monday, September 8, 2025 2:59 PM
Guerendo played 15 snaps on special teams and did not receive a carry in Sunday's 17-13 win over the Seahawks.
The good news for Guerendo was that he was fully cleared from the shoulder injury that limited him in camp. That bad news for the sophomore tailback is that new addition Brian Robinson usurped him on the depth chart. Guerendo dropped to third in the pecking order and was limited to special teams, returning one kickoff for 16 yards. In his current role, Guerendo provides no fantasy utility heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Saints.

Elijah Cooks: Dropped by Philadelphia
Monday, September 8, 2025 2:56 PM
Cooks was cut from the Eagles' practice squad Monday.
The third-year pro from San Jose State failed to make Philadelphia's initial 53-man roster but was added to the practice squad in late August. However, it now appears the Eagles have decided to move in another direction. Cooks will look for work elsewhere after posting three catches for 38 yards on four targets throughout his 11 career regular-season contests.

Montrell Johnson: Back with Philly
Monday, September 8, 2025 2:53 PM
Johnson signed with the Eagles' practice squad on Monday.
Johnson was waived by the Eagles in late August after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster, but it now appears that he'll remain in Philadelphia on the practice squad. The Florida product flashed throughout the preseason, rushing for 77 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries. He could be elevated to the Eagles' active roster if the running back room is plagued by injuries later this year.

Brian Robinson: Gets 10 touches in SF debut
Monday, September 8, 2025 2:46 PM
Robinson rushed nine times for 33 yards with one reception for four yards on two targets in Sunday's 17-13 win over Seattle.
Robinson had a smooth debut with San Francisco after being dealt from Washington just weeks before the start of the regular season. The 2022 third-round pick slotted directly behind starter Christian McCaffrey and handled 10 touches while playing 18 snaps on offense (24 percent). Robinson and his downhill running style should continue spelling CMC while receiving a handful of touches against the Saints next Sunday.

Adam Trautman: One catch in win
Monday, September 8, 2025 2:39 PM
Trautman reeled in his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Titans.
Trautman led all Broncos tight ends in snaps, playing 44 of Denver's 76 offensive snaps in the contest. The veteran saw extended playing time when fellow tight end Evan Engram injured his calf in the third quarter and did not return. If Engram is forced to miss time going forward, Trautman would likely continue to see the majority of snaps at the position based on his blocking prowess and the trust that head coach Sean Payton has in him. Third-year tight end Lucas Krull would also see more snaps if Engram misses time, and he would likely be the preferred pass-catching option. With that said, Trautman remains extremely difficult to trust for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Colts.

Emanuel Wilson: Limited to two snaps
Monday, September 8, 2025 2:28 PM
Wilson had one carry for four yards in Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Lions.
With starting running back Josh Jacobs handling the bulk of the work in Green Bay's backfield Wilson was only on the field for two plays Sunday, but he was handed the football on one of them. Wilson is averaging 5.0 YPC across 118 career attempts, so -- depending on the status of MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) he could be next up for carries if Jacobs were to go down. However, fellow running back Chris Brooks -- who played nine snaps Sunday -- is more effective as a pass catcher and blocker, so as long as Jacobs is out there it seems likely Wilson will operate as the third running back.

Isaac TeSlaa: Role will increase
Monday, September 8, 2025 2:24 PM
Lions coach Dan Campbell said Monday that the team plans for TeSlaa, who played just three offensive snaps during Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Packers, to get more opportunities going forward, Tim Twentyman of the team's official site reports.
TeSlaa flashed in his limited opportunities Week 1, scoring a highlight reel 13-yard touchdown on his lone target with 55 seconds left in the loss. Campbell indicated that part of the reason for TeSlaa's low snap count can be attributed to the illness that limited his practice activity heading into the matchup against Green Bay. The rookie third-rounder figures to see increased playing time immediately in Week 2 against the Vikings on Monday Night Football, though it could take time before he's given a true opportunity to surpass Kalif Raymond as the No. 3 receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.
