Donald Parham: Suffers torn Achilles in OTAs
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 8:02 PM
Parham tore his Achilles during OTAs on Tuesday and will likely miss the 2025 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Parham signed with the Steelers in late February after spending most of last season on Denver's practice squad. The veteran tight end logged a career-high 27 catches for 285 yards and four touchdowns over 14 regular-season games with the Chargers in 2023 but hasn't appeared in an NFL contest since. He was slated to compete for a depth role with the Steelers behind starting TE Pat Friermuth, but Parham now isn't likely to take the field again until 2026.

Malik Knowles: Lands in Bay Area
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 7:47 PM
Knowles signed a one-year contract with the 49ers on Tuesday.
Knowles entered the league by signing with Minnesota as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Since then he's also spent time with the Packers organization but has yet to see action in an NFL game. Knowles' signing came on the same day that the 49ers placed fellow wideout Trent Taylor (undisclosed) on injured reserve.

Trent Taylor: Lands on IR
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 7:37 PM
The 49ers placed Taylor (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Taylor signed a reserve/future contract with San Francisco in early January, but the move to IR means he'll likely be out for the entire 2025 campaign. It's not clear what type of injury the receiver is dealing with, though he wasn't expected to be a major part of the team's wideout corps this season. Taylor spent most of last year on San Francisco's practice squad and caught one pass for 11 yards across the two games he saw action in with the 49ers.

Trenton Irwin: Signs with Jacksonville
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 7:36 PM
Irwin and the Jaguars agreed on a contract Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Irwin will head to Jacksonville after spending the 2024 campaign with the Bengals and Panthers, reeling in three of 10 targets for 15 yards over seven games with Cincinnati. The wide receiver will look to impress this summer in order to potentially snag an active roster spot with the Jaguars in 2025.

David White: Let go by Jacksonville
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 7:22 PM
White (knee) was waived by the Jaguars on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
White is still recovering from a torn ACL, which he suffered in June of 2024, and he will now potentially be looking for another opportunity elsewhere. The wide receiver has yet to make his professional debut after wrapping up his collegiate career with Western Carolina in 2023.

Cole Fotheringham: Waived with injury designation
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 7:11 PM
The Broncos waived/injured Fotheringham (undisclosed) on Tuesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Fotheringham attended Denver's rookie minicamp and subsequently inked a contract with the club, but he'll now hit the waiver wire. It's unclear what type of injury he's dealing with. Fotheringham's exit Tuesday cleared room on the Broncos' roster for the signing of another tight end, Caden Prieskorn.

Caden Prieskorn: Agrees to deal with Denver
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 7:04 PM
Prieskorn signed a contract with the Broncos on Tuesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Prieskorn went unselected in April's NFL Draft but subsequently inked a deal with Detroit. He was waived May 12 before landing with the Broncos on Tuesday. Prieskorn will try to carve out a spot on Denver's roster after compiling 850 receiving yards and seven touchdowns over his final two collegiate seasons at Ole Miss.

Derek Carr: Officially placed on retired list
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 5:07 PM
The Saints placed Carr (shoulder) on the reserve/retired list Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
It makes Carr's retirement official after he announced his plans to hang up his cleats last month. Carr's 2024 was marked by injuries, suffering a broken left hand and oblique injury before revealing in April that he was dealing with a labrum issue in his throwing shoulder. The 34-year-old ends his 11-year career with 41,245 passing yards and a 257:112 TD:INT. Carr spent his first nine seasons with the Raiders before going to the Saints in 2023. He went 14-13 across 27 starts in New Orleans. The Saints are holding a three-way competition at quarterback this summer involving second-round rookie Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener.

Tommy Tremble: Expected back by during preseason
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 4:09 PM
Panthers head coach Dave Canales said Tuesday that Tremble (back) is expected to retake the field during the preseason but isn't likely to be ready for the start of training camp, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.
Tremble underwent surgery to address a back issue in mid-May, and while it was initially reported that he was on track for the start of training camp, it sounds like the veteran tight end's recovery will stretch until late August. That opens the door for second-year pro Ja'Tavion Sanders and rookie fifth-rounder Mitchell Evans to compete for expanded first-team reps and potentially even expanded regular-season roles if they can impress in those opportunities. Tremble is the best blocker of Carolina's tight end corps, which will assure him a significant role on offense once he's fully healthy.

Jimmy Horn: Dealing with hamstring injury
Tuesday, June 3, 2025 3:11 PM
Horn suffered a hamstring injury at Panthers' OTAs and didn't practice Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Carolina used the 208th overall pick in April's NFL Draft to select Horn out of Colorado. The rookie is expected to serve as a situational deep threat and potential return man behind wide receivers Adam Thielen, Xavier Legette and first-round rookie Tetairoa McMillan.
