Fantasy managers should continue to view Ekeler as an upside flex in PPR leagues, but in standard leagues where receptions are not scored, it is better to find production elsewhere.

Giants linebacker Darius Muasau took down the second-year wideout with a "hip-drop" tackle -- one that has recently been deemed illegal -- and was fittingly fined for the unnecessary roughness. Expect an update on the 22-year-old over the coming days when the Vikings release their first official injury report of the week. If he cannot play, wide receiver Jordan Nailor will continue to fill in for Addison when the team takes on the Houston Texans at home in Week 3. Nailor has caught a touchdown in back-to-back weeks and hauled in 3-of-4 targets in Week 2 for 54 yards. He would be a low-end WR3/FLEX play.

With Addison looking unlikely to play this weekend, wideouts Jalen Nailor and Brandon Powell will fight for targets behind Justin Jefferson. Nailor is the better sleeper target for DFS lineups, albeit against a tough defense.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride was in the right place at just the right time when running back James Conner fumbled at the Rams' five-yard line in the fourth quarter of the two teams' Week 2 showdown. McBride fell on top of the loose ball as it bounced into the end zone, giving Arizona their fifth touchdown of the day in their 41-10 rout of the Rams. A key component of the Cardinals' passing attack, McBride led the team with six catches, catching each ball thrown his way and gaining 67 receiving yards in the process. Fantasy managers fortunate enough to roster McBride can keep him locked in for Arizona's Week 3 matchup against the Detroit Lions, who allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends last season.

Tight ends league-wide disappointed in Week 1. As it was, Trey McBride's eight points in half-PPR leagues were still good for a top-10 finish at the position. While his production (five catches for 30 yards) fell short of expectations, fantasy managers found a silver lining in McBride's utilization. The Cardinals deployed their star tight end on 85% of snaps and he led the team with a 29% target share against the Buffalo Bills last week. In Week 2, Arizona plays the Los Angeles Rams, who give up the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends in 2023. McBride is a priority target in the Cardinals' passing attack and should enjoy a more productive game. The 24-year-old is already one of the top options at tight end and should be locked into starting lineups. McBride will be a top-12 tight end in Week 2, and given his usage in Arizona's offense, could find himself at the top by the end of the week.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride had a team-high nine targets in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills. The chances translated to a five-catch day but resulted in just 30 receiving yards. On a day when Arizona's offensive line was doing all that it could to withstand Buffalo's pass rush, quarterback Kyler Murray had to get rid of the ball quickly and McBride proved to be a reliable safety valve even if he didn't have time to get downfield. The second-year pro saw a couple of passes that could have gone for 20 or more yards, though both throws were off the mark. Despite the subpar day, McBride's eight PPR points were still enough for him to rank in the top 12 at his position in the first week of NFL action. He will continue to be a TE1 candidate as the season progresses and should be locked into lineups in Week 2 when the Cardinals play the Rams in their home opener.

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (oblique) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. He had been listed as doubtful entering the weekend, so this latest update does not come as a surprise. The star running back will watch from the sidelines as Zach Charbonnet operates as the Seahawks' No. 1 running back. Still, Walker could be questionable to be active in Week 2, so fantasy managers planning on starting him again this weekend need to formulate a backup plan. Backup Zach Charbonnet would become Seattle's lead back in a plus matchup if Walker is limited or out entirely. The Chargers only attempted 20 passes compared to 44 rush attempts, and that looks like the pattern they'll follow most of the time going forward. Johnston could finally be working his way into fantasy relevance, but the Chargers pass catchers will be hard to project each week.

Johnston seems to be in line for more targets this year as the offense grows under the new coaching regime, but he would be more viable in deeper fantasy leagues.

New England Patriots wide receiver K.J. Osborn caught one of two targets for seven yards during the team's 23-20 overtime loss against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. Osborn was one of just two Patriots wide receivers who were targeted in the contest. It has become evident that New England will try to win games by running the ball with Rhamondre Stevenson, opting to pass only when absolutely necessary. As a result, Osborn is avoidable in most fantasy leagues despite his starting role in the Patriots' offense. He remains off the fantasy radar heading into Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets.
