Overall, it was his best performance (fantasy or otherwise) since the season's opening weeks when the Saints looked like an offensive powerhouse in the making. Carr also avoided being sacked for the first time this season and also did not throw an interception. Ironically, he set a new season-high in passing yards even with the Saints' wide receiver room thinned out by a spate of injuries. Journeyman Marquez Valdes-Scantling was the big winner, catching both of Carr's touchdown passes and running back Alvin Kamara remained his favorite target, seeing six balls thrown his way. In Week 11, Carr will face the Cleveland Browns who will be coming off their bye but gave up 282 yards and two touchdowns to Justin Herbert in Week 9.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr returned to action in Week 9 after an oblique injury sidelined him for the previous three weeks. In his return, he went 18-for-31 for 236 yards and one touchdown against the Panthers. It was the first time since Week 1 (also against Carolina) that Carr escaped a game without throwing an interception. In Week 10, Carr will face the Atlanta Falcons, who represent a somewhat forgiving matchup. Atlanta has given up 15 passing touchdowns in 2024 and has fewer sacks (nine) than any other team in the league. The biggest obstacle Carr will have to overcome on Sunday is the lack of healthy receivers. Chris Olave (concussion) and Cedrick Wilson Jr. (shoulder) are the latest of the Saints' pass catchers to be sidelined due to injury, leaving Carr the likes of rookies Mason Tipton and Jermaine Jackson, and journeyman Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Calling Carr a QB2 this week is generous given his circumstances and he should only be considered in two-quarterback formats.

New Orleans Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi said that "Derek Carr is going to be the quarterback this Sunday as far as I'm concerned." Carr returned in the Week 9 loss to the division-rival Carolina Panthers after missing three games with an oblique injury. New York Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. turned in an impressive ground performance in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers in Munich, Germany, rushing for 103 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown. Tracy's dynamic 5.7 yards per carry, including a 32-yard burst, provided a spark for the Giants' offense and kept them competitive throughout. However, his strong outing was marred by a costly fumble on the Giants' opening drive in overtime, which the Panthers recovered and quickly converted into a game-winning field goal. With 14.9 fantasy points, Tracy showed his potential as a lead back, though his late-game miscue underscores the need for ball security.

Tracy has been productive since becoming the starter in Week 5, averaging 14.76 fantasy points per game, ranking him 22nd among RBs in that span. Facing a struggling Panthers run defense that ranks last in both overall and fantasy RB defense, allowing 159.3 rushing yards per game, Tracy has a prime opportunity for a breakout game in Munich. With his 5.0 yards-per-carry average, Tracy could see strong fantasy value against Carolina's generous defensive front.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. led the team in carries once again in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Washington Commanders, solidifying his role as the primary back over Devin Singletary. Tracy Jr. rushed for 66 yards on a steady 4.1 yards per carry, with a long run of 10 yards that showcased his ability to gain tough yards. Although he didn't find the end zone and caught only one pass for 3 yards, Tracy Jr.'s workload suggests he's entrenched as the starter. Finishing with 7.4 fantasy points, he may not have hit high-scoring numbers, but his consistent touches make him a solid option for fantasy managers seeking reliable volume.

Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce (groin), who has missed the team's last two games due to a groin ailment, is close to returning to action, according to a league source. Pierce has only 14 rushing attempts on the year in four games played, but he's gone for 98 yards (career-high 7.0 yards per tote) and a touchdown and is averaging 40 yards per kickoff return. It remains to be seen if the 24-year-old will be able to do enough in practice this week to have a shot at playing on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys, but even if he does return in Week 11, he'll most likely be eased in and will work behind workhorse Joe Mixon. Dare Ogunbowale has been serving as Houston's RB2 behind Mixon with Pierce sidelined. At best, Pierce is a handcuff option for fantasy managers that have Mixon in their starting lineups on a weekly basis.UPDATE: Pierce returned to practice on Thursday.

Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce (groin) was unable to practice all week and was officially ruled out on Friday for the Week 10 game versus the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. Pierce will miss his second straight game with a groin injury, which will allow Dare Ogunbowale and J.J. Taylor to see more change-of-pace work this weekend behind starter Joe Mixon. The 24-year-old Pierce also missed four straight games from Weeks 2-5 due to injury and has seen only 14 rushing attempts for 98 yards and a touchdown in the four games he's been active in. Pierce does have an impressive 7.0 yard-per-carry average, but he hasn't been very healthy and has had a minimal role when active behind Mixon in 2024. Pierce should be found on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues and is nothing more than a handcuff option for Mixon in deep leagues.

Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce (groin) is not practicing for the second straight day due to a groin injury. The third-year back out of Florida missed the Week 9 loss to the New York Jets and has only been active for four games in 2024. It looks like he could be on his way to missing another week of action, meaning J.J. Taylor and Dare Ogunbowale could serve as the RB2 and RB3 for Houston behind Joe Mixon. However, Mixon is in a workhorse role, so neither backup is worth starting in fantasy lineups. Pierce remains a handcuff RB in deep leagues, but he's barely on the fantasy football radar in leagues of 12 teams or fewer.

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (chest) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, according to Demetrius Harvey of Jax.com. The LSU standout has been dealing with this chest injury for a few weeks but has yet to miss any time. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status during the week in case he faces a setback. Last weekend with quarterback Mac Jones under center, Thomas tallied a season-low 12 yards on just two catches. Despite his two weak outings over the past two weeks, Thomas has averaged a stellar 15.2 PPR points during Weeks 1 through 8. Given his recent output, fantasy managers should view the 22-year-old as a WR3/flex with risk heading into a Week 11 tilt against the Detroit Lions with Jones making a second straight start.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. played after being questionable all week but didn't do much in a 12-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The Jaguars offense as a whole didn't do much, but BTJ specifically finished with just two catches for 12 yards on three targets. With Mac Jones under center instead of Trevor Lawrence who was out due to injury, BTJ seems less likely to get accurate deep shots, reducing his big-play potential. That is arguably his biggest strength, so if Jones is under center going forward, that greatly caps his upside. The rookie has been stellar so far this season, but his chest injury combined with Lawrence's shoulder injury seems to be slowing down the momentum. BTJ will look to return to form in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr. (chest), Gabe Davis (shoulder) and Devin Duvernay (hamstring), who were all listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings, are active on Sunday. Thomas has been questionable the last two weeks but has played through his chest injury. The 22-year-old has been Jacksonville's most productive wideout in his first year in the NFL, catching 35 of his 53 targets for 595 yards and five touchdowns in nine games, but his stock as a WR2 in fantasy will take a hit with quarterback Mac Jones taking over for the injured Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) in Week 10 and possibly beyond. Davis missed the Week 9 loss to the Eagles but should be more involved moving forward with Christian Kirk (collarbone) out for the season. However, with Jones starting, Davis will represent a shaky boom/bust WR4/flex.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle caught three of six targets for 57 yards while losing a yard on one rushing attempt in Monday's 23-15 win over the Los Angeles Rams. He held the team lead in targets, receptions, and yards. Waddle continues to struggle to get on the same page as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The offense struggled overall to get anything going after their first drive ended in a touchdown. He had yet another drop in this game on a crucial third-down play that would've easily moved the chains. Nonetheless, the Dolphins got a much-needed win to climb back into the AFC playoff picture. It will be hard to trust Waddle down the stretch into the playoffs, with Miami throwing the ball much less than in previous years. He will look to bounce back in Week 11 when he returns to Miami to take on the Las Vegas Raiders.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has been a headache for fantasy managers in 2024. He has caught 28 of 38 targets for 310 yards and one touchdown over eight games this season. He hasn't received more than 45 yards since back in Week 5 against the New England Patriots when he had 46. That could all change in Week 10. Miami will travel to play the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. The Ram's defense gives up the 10th most fantasy points per game and ranks 18th in red zone points per game to wide receivers. Also in question is the status of fellow wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Hill (wrist) missed practice on Saturday and is questionable for Monday night. Waddle should receive a healthy dose of targets this week in a game that has shootout written all over it. He checks in as RotoBallers WR33 and is worth rolling the dice on in Week 10

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) caught both his two targets for minus-four yards and a receiving touchdown in their 30-27 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Other than the touchdown, Waddle was relatively quiet during the day. His second reception came on the game's last play, where Miami lateraled, and he ran close to 25 yards backwards. He left the game briefly with an ankle injury but soon re-entered the game with no further issues. The lack of targets came from the offense electing to establish the run and expose Buffalo's weakness of stopping the run. Still, this season has not been what fantasy managers have hoped for from the 25-year-old after three straight 1,000-yard campaigns. With Miami falling to 2-6 and the schedule looking a bit easier in the next couple of weeks, Waddle has the potential to break out. Next week, a matchup with the Los Angeles Rams could be a shootout.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has been unbelievable over the last few weeks, but was finally held in check on Sunday. Otton hauled in five of his eight targets for 35 yards in what ended up being a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Well, Otton's tremendous run had to end at some point, but at least he was still able to do some damage here. Fantasy managers will have to look elsewhere for help next week with the Bucs on a bye week. After that, wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) is expected to make his return to the field. If that happens, Otton could lose some fantasy value heading into the Week 12 matchup against the New York Giants.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has been nearly unstoppable on the field over the last few weeks. Over the last three games, Otton has hauled in 25 receptions on 30 targets for 258 yards and three touchdowns. The Bucs don't have many reliable pass-catchers right now, so they continue to go to Otton and it's working. The expectation is that the San Francisco 49ers defense will plan around holding Otton in check, but fantasy managers should still play him as a TE1 for Week 10. Otton has been too great lately, so ride with him until he gives you reason not to trust him.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton led his team in targets, receptions, and yards in Monday night's 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs, the third consecutive week he's led the Bucs in each of those categories. Otton caught eight of 11 targets for 77 yards and a score on Monday night, now with double-digit targets and at least eight receptions in three straight games. The TD was his fourth of the season but his third in the last two games. The 25-year-old has clearly been the top receiving option in the absence of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, and he'll probably need to be again in Week 10 when the Bucs take on the 49ers at home. Jalen McMillan was inactive on Monday with a hamstring injury and should that linger into next week, Tampa will again have to rely on Otton and Co. Despite the tough matchup, the former fourth-round draft pick will be a TE1 again on Sunday.
