When the Seahawks have a lead, Walker can deliver great rushing output. When the Seahawks trail, it is a different story. Walker has caught four or more passes in four of six games played this season. The Seahawks offense has been bipolar in 2024 so it is difficult to predict how they will perform on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are the No. 19 defense against opposing running backs in fantasy, so this matchup is not scary. Neither team's defense has played with any consistency. Now that the Rams have a full complement of weapons, this could be a track meet. Look for the Seahawks to try and establish a presence in the running game. If they can ensure that this game remains tight, then Walker should be in good shape to provide a solid rushing and receiving baseline in Week 9.

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III was in a great position to succeed in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. Not only are the Bills soft against the run, but the Seahawks were projected to rely more heavily on Walker with DK Metcalf (knee) out. Walker only received nine carries and turned those carries into just twelve yards. The Seahawks could not get anything going on offense and committed several self-inflicted wounds that would derail their afternoon. The game got away from the Seahawks in the second quarter and they completely abandoned the run. Geno Smith ultimately led the team in rushing with 16 yards. This was a forgettable game for an otherwise solid offense in 2024. Expect a better day from Walker in Week 9 when the Seahawks play the Los Angeles Rams. After all, every player has a dud every once in a while.

The Bills boast the second-worst defense against opposing running backs in fantasy. Teams have been able to run all over them. Otherwise, Walker has scored at least 18.9 fantasy points in every healthy game this season. Walker has been astonishing as both a runner and a receiver and he has scored touchdowns at a high rate. His involvement in the passing game suggests that he will not suffer from the negative game script the Seahawks could find themselves in against a great offense. It is worth mentioning that Walker was limited in practice this week due to an illness that popped up over the weekend. He was a full participant on Friday. The illness did not stop him from running all over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7. If you have Walker, keep letting the good times roll in Week 8.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb exploded as the overall WR1 in fantasy football last Sunday, and he'll look to pick up right where he left off during Week 9 versus the Atlanta Falcons. Lamb is coming off a spectacular game in which he caught 13 of 17 targets for 146 yards and two touchdowns, bumping him up to the overall WR4 this season. This week, he gets another favorable matchup in the form of the Falcons, who have been below-average against wide receivers. Atlanta has allowed the sixth-most touchdowns and the eighth-most receptions to opposing receivers in 2024, which bodes well for Lamb, who typically commands plenty of volume and scoring opportunities. He remains a must-start fantasy option this week, ranking as a high-end WR1.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb finally put together the performance that fantasy managers have been waiting for. The fifth-year receiver was targeted 17 times on Sunday night in the loss to San Francisco. He caught 13 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns with both scores coming late in the fourth quarter. The outing was just Lamb's second WR1 weekly finish of the season but with an astounding 45% target share, fantasy managers can expect more of the same in the future.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has seen consistent target volume throughout the 2024 season but has only produced two touchdowns and no 100-yard games through the first six games. Last year's overall WR1 should see heavy volume again in Week 8 on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers. The matchup isn't ideal, as the 49ers have allowed the 11th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing receivers on the season, but Lamb remains a WR1 due to his safe floor and boom potential. Do not hesitate to start him again in Week 8.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts is coming off his best fantasy output of the season with four catches on five targets for 91 yards and two touchdowns, and in Week 9 he'll get a Cowboys defense that just allowed the 49ers' George Kittle to post a 6-128-1 line in Week 8. Since logging a zero-catch performance in Week 4, the 24-year-old has had no less than five targets in the last four games, averaging around 79 yards receiving per game over that time. It feels like he's secured a solid role in this offense now, although, with a 15.95% target share, he's a distant third in the pecking order behind Drake London (26.72%) and Darnell Mooney (22.84%). Dallas has allowed the 12th-most fantasy points to TEs, and while Pitts hasn't yet shed the potential for bust weeks, the former first-round draft pick still ranks as a TE1 in this matchup.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts continued his stretch of productivity in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Buccaneers, hauling in four of five targets for 91 yards and two scores. The yardage total was a season-high and it was the first time in his four-year career that the 24-year-old recorded multiple touchdown catches in a game. After failing to catch a pass in Week 4, Pitts has averaged five catches for 79 yards in the four weeks since. In Week 9, the Falcons will take on the Cowboys who had been solid defending TEs prior to Sunday when they allowed George Kittle to log a 6-128-1 line. Regardless, Pitts is still likely a TE1 for fantasy, and he has hopefully put some of the volatility behind him.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts garnered eight or more targets and seven catches for the second time in three games last week as he's become more involved in the Atlanta passing attack after a zero-catch performance in Week 4. Some of that can be attributed to the opposing team's deficiency in covering TEs, and in Week 8 Pitts will face a team that has already proven itself deficient in defending the pass, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They've allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game in the NFL and 10th-most fantasy points to TEs, including two touchdowns to the Ravens' Mark Andrews just last week. Pitts hauled in seven passes for 88 yards against the Bucs in Week 5, and this time around they are down starter Tykee Smith which could give Pitts and Ray-Ray McCloud III a boost in opportunities. Even with other TEs starting to pull their weight and despite some volatility concerns, Pitts sets up as a back-end TE1 in Week 8.

New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye (concussion) has cleared the league's concussion protocol and has been removed from the Week 9 injury report on Saturday. Maye was officially listed as questionable on Friday to play in Sunday's contest against the Tennessee Titans after being limited in practice all week as he worked his way through the protocols. The 22-year-old first-rounder suffered a concussion in the Week 8 win over the division-rival New York Jets but won't be forced to miss any time. Maye only attempted six passes before getting knocked out of last Sunday's contest, but he threw for a season-high 276 yards and two touchdowns the previous week in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now that he's in the clear for Week 9, Maye should be considered a low-end QB2 in superflex fantasy leagues against a Titans defense that has been stingy against opposing QBs in 2024.

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. The former third-overall pick suffered a concussion last week in their victory over the New York Jets. Maye has been a limited participant during practice all week and still has a chance to pass through the league's concussion protocol in time for Sunday's tilt. If he is unable to suit up, veteran Jacoby Brissett would get the starting nod. In relief last weekend, the 31-year-old went 15-for-24 with 132 yards and 11 rushing yards. He has averaged 138.0 passing yards per game this season and should be viewed as a low-end QB2 if he gets the start.

New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye (concussion) remains in concussion protocol but has not been ruled out for Sunday's game according to Jonathan Jones of CBS. Maye suffered a concussion in their victory over the New York Jets last weekend. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the 22-year-old's status as he could clear the league's protocol in time for Sunday. In his first two professional starts, Maye eclipsed 200 passing yards in each of them with five total scores. Maye should be viewed as a solid QB2 in all formats if he is able to face the Tennessee Titans. If not, veteran Jacoby Brissett would get the starting nod.

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Kimani Vidal is likely to remain in his role as the primary backup to starter J.K. Dobbins when the Chargers face the Cleveland Browns in Week 9. Vidal has worked his way up the depth chart to the number two spot, but Dobbins has a three-down skillset and is one of the few backs in the league playing on almost every down. Vidal has mixed in as a change of pace and backup, and while he's looked solid when given the chance, he likely won't receive consistent enough chances to put up reliable fantasy numbers. However, if Dobbins were ever forced to miss time, Vidal would immediately skyrocket into the RB2/3 conversation.

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Kimani Vidal remained in a backup role in a Week 8 win over the New Orleans Saints. Vidal carried the ball six times, gaining 16 yards. He was not targeted in the passing game. Meanwhile, starter J.K. Dobbins got 21 touches and commanded the backfield once again. Vidal is worth rostering in most formats because he'd immediately skyrocket into the RB2 conversation if Dobbins were forced to miss time, but Vidal won't be a fantasy asset on his own unless he ascends into the starting role.

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Kimani Vidal is not a fantasy option in Week 8 when the Bolts take on the New Orleans Saints. Vidal showed a spark in Week 6 but was then mostly uninvolved in Week 7. He's the clear backup to starter J.K. Dobbins, but unless Dobbins misses time, Vidal seems like he'll remain in a backup/change of pace role for now. He's worth rostering and keeping on the bench, but he shouldn't be in a starting lineup outside of the deepest formats.

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton enters Week 9 against the Washington Commanders amid trade rumors and coming off a productive game against Pittsburgh, where he led the team with 108 receiving yards on four catches, including a deep 43-yard reception. Slayton has shown his big-play ability this season, averaging 14.5 yards per catch and posting 420 total yards, although he's managed only one touchdown across 29 receptions. Facing a Washington defense ranked 19th against fantasy wide receivers but allowing just 186.8 passing yards per game (sixth in the NFL), Slayton's upside will hinge on his connection with Daniel Jones on vertical plays. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues might view Slayton as a potential flex, especially with a higher volume, if the Giants look to showcase him ahead of the trade deadline.

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton led the team in receiving yards during Monday night's 26-18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, hauling in four catches for 108 yards on seven targets. Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd (shoulder) did not participate in Wednesday's practice. The 29-year-old's status suddenly appears to be in doubt ahead of Week 9 versus the New England Patriots. Both Boyd and Calvin Ridley were non-participants during practice, leaving Nick Westbrook-Ikhine as the Titans' top healthy receiver. There's still plenty of time for both Boyd and Ridley to get healthy, but if they don't, Westbrook-Ikhine would step up as Tennessee's No. 1 receiver at home.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd will face the Detroit Lions in a Week 8 matchup on Sunday. The longtime Bengals wideout hasn't been very relevant for fantasy this year finishing as a top-60 receiver only once on the season. Poor quarterback play and target competition have mainly been the culprit, but Boyd's role should increase after DeAndre Hopkins was shipped off to Kansas City earlier this week. The Titans' #1 wideout Calvin Ridley has been dealing with a foot injury this week, and if that slows him down at all, Boyd will likely be the main benefactor. It's probable the Titans will be in catch-up mode most of the afternoon as well, which could lead to more opportunity for Boyd. Detroit ranks dead-last in the NFL in slot points allowed to WRs this season, which is primarily where Boyd lines up. There is limited ceiling here, but Boyd could provide a safe spot start for fantasy managers.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd caught five passes on as many targets for 43 yards in a 34-10 loss to the Bills on Sunday. On a day in which the downfield passing attack was stymied by Buffalo, Boyd was a reliable short area target for new starting quarterback Mason Rudolph. The Titans ability to stretch the field is next to none, and if Rudolph continues to start for Tennessee, he may have to rely on quick-hitter throws to Boyd in an attempt to move the ball downfield. The longtime Bengal will still be behind Ridley and Hopkins in the receiving pecking order (as long as the latter is in Nashville), but he is trending up heading into a tough matchup with the Detroit Lions next week.
