Coach Sean McDermott noted Wednesday that it looks like Allen (foot) is "moving in the right direction" as Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jets approaches, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.

That said, Allen won't participate in Wednesday's walk-through. Per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com, McDermott didn't provide any updates on who will or won't be playing Sunday. According to Alec White of the team's official site, as Week 18 action approaches, the Bills are currently the No. 7 playoff seed in the AFC and are still in play to be the No. 5 or No. 6 seed depending on how things shake out this weekend.

Allen (foot) underwent X-rays after Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Eagles and received negative results, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Allen began Week 17 as a limited participant at practice due to soreness in his right foot, but he upgraded to full reps by Friday and played the entire game Sunday. It's possible that Allen's postgame X-rays were merely precautionary, rather than indicative of a setback. With the Bills already locked into a wild-card spot but having no chance of catching the Patriots for the AFC East title, the star signal-caller could be shut down for the regular-season finale against the Jets in Week 18.

Allen completed 23 of 35 pass attempts for 262 yards while rushing seven times for 27 yards and two touchdowns with one fumble lost in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Eagles.

Allen performed well on an individual level despite playing through a minor foot injury Sunday. The 29-year-old threw for his most yards since Week 11 while posting multiple rushing scores for the fifth time this season. The loss drops Buffalo down to the AFC's seventh seed as the team prepares to finish the regular season against the Jets in Week 18.

Perine had three carries for five yards and a goal-line touchdown in the Bengals' rout of the Cardinals in Week 17. He also caught a pass for eight yards.

Perine rushed seven times for 25 yards and one touchdown in the Bengals' 45-21 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He added two catches for 16 yards on three targets.

Herbert rushed twice for five yards and didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 42-10 loss to the Patriots.

Herbert logged all 13 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 29-6 loss to the Saints.
