Mahomes and the Chiefs dropped to 0-2 on the year after suffering a loss at the hands of the team that embarrassed them in Super Bowl LIX last season. The final score was much closer this time around, but Philadelphia's defense held the superstar QB in check statistically. Mahomes continues to spread the ball around with top wideouts Rashee Rice (suspension) and Xavier Worthy (shoulder) out of action, dialing up nine different targets Sunday after completing passes to seven different receivers in last week's loss. Mahomes is going to continue to have to do the heavy lifting for Kansas City's offense ahead of a Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

Mahomes completed 24 of 39 passes for 258 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions and added six rushes for 57 yards and another score in the Chiefs' 27-21 loss to the Chargers on Friday night. He also recovered a fumble.

Mahomes quickly lost his most explosive playmaker when Xavier Worthy went down with a shoulder injury just four plays into the game. The two-time MVP battled throughout the rest of the contest while repeatedly leading the Chiefs from behind, and he offered some hope with an 11-yard touchdown run and 37-yard scoring strike to Travis Kelce in the third and fourth quarter, respectively. In the absence of Worthy, Mahomes recorded completions to seven different targets, focusing the bulk of his attention on Hollywood Brown (10-99-0) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (5-55-0), who were the targets on 21 of his pass attempts. Following this season-opening stumble, Mahomes and the Chiefs will have to quickly turn their focus to a Super Bowl LIX rematch with the Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium in a Week 2 matchup on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Croskey-Merritt is expected to become the No. 1 running back after an MRI confirmed that Austin Ekeler tore his Achilles during Thursday's loss to the Packers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Ekeler played nearly half of the offensive snaps and logged 19 touches through the first two games, so his absence leaves a massive opportunity. Croskey-Merritt looks like the favorite to claim the bulk of those duties, but veteran running back Jeremy McNichols should play a role in the passing game while Chris Rodriguez -- who was a healthy scratch for the first two games -- may mix in too. Through two games, Croskey-Merritt rushed 14 times for 99 yards (7.1 YPC) and a touchdown but failed to haul in either of his two targets.

Croskey-Merritt rushed four times for 17 yards and failed to bring in his only target in the Commanders' 27-18 loss to the Packers on Thursday night.

After an eye-catching NFL debut Week 1 against the Giants, Croskey-Merritt came into Thursday night's matchup with some enhanced expectations. However, game script conspired against the Commanders' ground attack, as Green Bay already owned a 14-3 lead at halftime. Croskey-Merritt ultimately saw four fewer carries than Austin Ekeler, who exited late in the third quarter with an Achilles injury, and three less than Jayden Daniels as well. With Ekeler's injury of the non-contact variety, it's certainly possible a tear may be the ultimate diagnosis, a development that would brighten Croskey-Merritt's long-term outlook even further. Under any circumstance, the rookie seventh-round pick should be in line for more opportunities during a Week 3 home matchup against the Raiders on Sunday, Sept. 21.

Croskey-Merritt rushed 10 times for 82 yards and a touchdown while failing to catch his only target in Sunday's 21-6 win over the Giants.

Croskey-Merritt got as many rushing attempts as Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols combined. The highlights of the rookie seventh-round pick's NFL debut were a six-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and a 42-yard run in the fourth. Croskey-Merritt looks like the team's go-to option on early downs heading into Thursday's Week 2 game at Green Bay, but his lack of pass-catching ability should allow Ekeler to stay involved in passing situations.

Nacua recorded eight receptions on nine targets for 91 yards in Sunday's 33-19 win over the Titans. He added one rushing attempt for a 45-yard touchdown.

Nacua made an impact in both conventional and unconventional fashion in Sunday's win. He kicked things off with a 45-yard rushing score early in the first quarter on an end around. Nacua then went on to add long receptions of 24 and 22 yards to cap off an excellent all-around fantasy performance. Through two games, he has 266 yards from scrimmage and 18 receptions.

Nacua corralled 10 of 11 targets for 130 yards while taking his only carry for one yard in Sunday's 14-9 victory over the Texans.

Nacua suffered an injury scare early in the contest when a big hit caused a laceration to his forehead. The star wideout made a prompt return to action before finishing with a game-high 131 yards. Nacua is off to a great start in search of his second 1,000-yard receiving season after injuries caused him to fall 10 yards shy of the mark in 2024. With QB Matthew Stafford looking healthy under center, Nacua should generate WR1-type projections against the Titans next Sunday.

Nacua (head) returned to Sunday's game versus the Texans, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Nacua took a hit to the helmet at the end of a nine-yard catch on the Rams' second possession that caused a notable cut on his forehead. He was deemed questionable to return as he underwent a concussion check, but before getting back on the field, he was seen with a bandage over the wound, per Greg Beacham of the Associated Press. Nacua will look to build upon the three catches (on four targets) for 23 yards that he put up prior to his earlier exit.

Pittman recorded four receptions on five targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 29-28 win over the Broncos.

Pittman took on a lesser role among the Colts' pass catchers in Week 2, tying for third on the team in targets. He was also limited to receptions in short areas of the field, with his longest gain going for just 12 yards. Tyler Warren appears to have the most consistent pass-catching role in Indianapolis early this season, which could mean inconsistent production for Pittman moving forward given the significant roles of both Josh Downs and Alec Pierce in the offense.

Pittman secured six of eight targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 33-8 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Pittman led the Colts in receiving yards while checking in second to rookie tight end Tyler Warren in both receptions and targets. The veteran receiver looked to be consistently on the same page with new quarterback Daniel Jones right from the jump, with the duo connecting for gains of 14 and 27 yards in the first two possessions, the latter going for a touchdown. Pittman should have a chance to serve as one of Jones' top targets again when the Colts face off with a talented Broncos defense at home in a Week 2 matchup next Sunday.

Aubrey went 4-for-4 on field-goal attempts and also made all four of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win against the Giants.

Aubrey made a 51-yard field goal in the second quarter before adding a 44-yard make to open the fourth quarter, a 64-yard game-tying kick at the end of regulation and a game-winning 46-yarder as time expired in overtime. The kicker has been historically good since joining the Cowboys ahead of the 2023 campaign, and he's now off to an impressive start to the 2025 season. Through two games, Aubrey has made all seven of his field-goal tries, including five makes from 50-plus yards.

Aubrey made both of his field-goal attempts and a pair of PATs in Thursday's 24-20 loss to the Eagles.

The Cowboys started hot on offense, scoring touchdowns on their first two drives before setting Aubrey up for field goals of 41 and 53 yards. After making the latter kick to close out the first half, Aubrey didn't get another chance to add to his total as Philadelphia's defense stepped up in the second half. Aubrey's mix of power and accuracy is elite, so he should remain one of the top kickers in fantasy as long as Dallas' offense moves the ball at a decent clip.

Goff completed 23 of 28 passes for 334 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions and added one rush for six yards in the Lions' 52-21 win over the Bears on Sunday.

Goff completed 31 of 39 passes for 225 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Packers.

Ford rushed six times for 31 yards, brought in five of six targets for 23 yards and returned four kickoffs for 81 yards in the Browns' 41-17 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

Ford rushed the ball six times for eight yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Bengals. He added one reception on one target for minus-3 yards.

Smith accrued one rush for two yards and failed to gather his lone target during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Eagles.

Smith returned two kickoffs for 63 yards during Kansas City's 27-21 loss to the Chargers on Friday night.

Worthy (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Coach Andy Reid said that Worthy (shoulder) will practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Worthy (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Eagles, but the Chiefs believe the receiver is "looking good" to play Week 3 against the Giants, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Kupp caught seven of nine targets for 90 yards in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

Kupp brought in two of three targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the 49ers.
