The earliest Tagovailoa can return now is in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals, but the Dolphins are committed to placing no timeline on him as he works through a deliberate process and eventual return to play. Honestly, nobody knows when Tagovailoa will return to football, and there's even a chance that neurologists recommend he not play football again. The 26-year-old suffered his fourth documented concussion last Thursday, although he's apparently not considering retirement. In the meantime, backup Skylar Thompson will run the offense and start in Week 3 against the Seahawks. It's a major downgrade for all of Miami's offensive skill players.

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel offered an encouraging update on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's (concussion) status on Monday. However, this news at least opens the door for his potential return in Week 4 against the Titans.UPDATE: According to McDaniel, there isn't enough information yet to determine if Tagovailoa is going on Injured Reserve, which would force him to miss at least four games. The decision has not been discussed with Tua.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (leg) was officially placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday. The third-year back out of Rutgers suffered a fractured fibula that requires surgery, and he will miss at least the next four games. However, his timeline was originally set at a six- to eight-week absence, but now it sounds like Kansas City doesn't know if he will play again this season. "I can't give you a timetable for his return," head coach Andy Reid said. "We'll just see whether it's this season or next season." Needless to say, this is a rough development for Pacheco and his fantasy managers, and this is a "wait and see" situation. In his absence, rookie Carson Steele and veteran Samaje Perine are expected to split touches. Kareem Hunt, who just signed to the practice squad, is likely to take a few weeks to get in shape and start contributing.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (leg) will undergo surgery in the middle of this week on the fractured fibula that he suffered in the Week 2 win over the Cincinnati Bengals and he's expected to miss at least six weeks, according to sources. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says that a six- to eight-week timetable is probably a best-case scenario, so the Chiefs will eventually place him on Injured Reserve, which will put him out for at least four games. If doctors find more ligament/tendon damage in Pacheco's leg when they open him up, it could be a longer road back for one of the best young RBs in the NFL. Fantasy managers obviously will want to stash Pacheco everywhere, while rookie Carson Steele immediately becomes one of the top waiver-wire targets this week. Samaje Perine should have an elevated role in KC's backfield as well and is worth a look in deep PPR formats with Pacheco injured.

Unfortunately, the injury is a massive blow to the Chiefs' backfield and for fantasy managers. Pacheco played 72.3% of the snaps over the first two weeks, accounting for 79.1% of the rushing attempts and 72.7% of the targets out of the backfield. Rookie Carson Steele and Samaje Perine are the other two running backs on the active roster, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire (mental health) on the Non-Football Injury list. Kansas City is bringing in Kareem Hunt for a visit on Tuesday. Steele is the most appealing waiver-wire target currently on the roster after an impressive preseason performance, while Perine should gain more attention in PPR formats.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught one pass for nine yards in a 24-17 loss to the Jets in Week 2. It was the second straight near-dud for the veteran receiver, who could not get anything going on a day that where his teammate Calvin Ridley scored over 20 fantasy points. It's possible that Hopkins is still a bit slow to come back from the MCL injury, but it's concerning to record only two targets in an offense that is struggling to move the bar through the air. Levis and Hopkins showed some great chemistry last season, but Ridley seems to have snatched the crown from him in the Titans pecking order. With not many yards to go around, this is not a good sign for his rest-of-season outlook. Hopkins will look to rebound in Week 3 vs. Green Bay.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins faces the New York Jets and their stingy secondary in Week 2 of NFL action. The veteran receiver has been taken off the injury report completely after playing limited snaps against Chicago due to an MCL injury. That is wonderful news for both Hopkins managers and the Titans offense in general, which really struggled to move the ball downfield in Week 1. However, playing Hopkins against the Jets secondary that was #1 against opposing wideouts last year is not advisable. "Nuk" should be kept out of lineups this week.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) said his knee injury is a sprain similar to an ankle sprain, and it isn't a tear. Hopkins played in the Week 1 loss to the Chicago Bears despite entering with a questionable tag, but he played only 27% of the offensive snaps, which was fourth among Titans pass-catchers. It led to just one catch on his only target for an eight-yard gain. The 32-year-old veteran and five-time Pro Bowler clearly wasn't fully healthy. However, he's off the Week 2 injury report entirely and is expected to have a much bigger role in Week 2 against the New York Jets. Fantasy managers should expect Hopkins to be more involved on offense this Sunday, but his conditioning is still a question mark, and the matchup against the Jets isn't idea. Hopkins' fantasy stock is certainly down in 2024, but he should be a slightly more attractive WR4/flex another week removed from his knee sprain.

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson had an impressive performance in the Falcons' narrow win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Robinson was a key contributor, carrying the ball 14 times for 97 yards, averaging an impressive 6.9 yards per carry. He also added 25 yards on four receptions. In the first half, Robinson was particularly effective, rushing for 72 yards on 10 carries against the formidable Eagles front seven. He was then slowed down more by the Eagles defense in the second half. Robinson has seen a big workload so far in 2024, even as backfield mate Tyler Allgeier saw only five fewer carries Monday. Robinson is set to play a significant role in the Week 3 Sunday night game against the defending champion Chiefs.

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson finally got the usage fantasy managers have been begging out of him since his debut in Week 1 of last season. He logged 23 touches in a low-scoring affair against the Pittsburgh Steelers' strong defensive line. This week, Robinson faces the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. The Eagles allowed 5.3 YPC to Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs in Week 1 and two receptions for 20 yards. The Falcons could be trailing early and often in this one against the Eagles, potentially leading to more targets and receptions coming Robinson's way. The 2023 first-round pick is a must-start and is RB3 in the latest RotoBaller rankings for Week 2.

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker hasn't put up the big fantasy numbers that managers have grown accustomed to in recent seasons. Especially when it comes to 50-yard field goals, Tucker has missed five of his last six dating back to the 2023 season. The Ravens offense should be able to move the ball against the Raiders and Tucker returns to home field where he's made 88.8% of his field goals throughout his career. He should see plenty of opportunities for both field goals and extra points in this contest. The worry about Tucker falling from fantasy grace shouldn't kick in unless he strings together multiple bust weeks in a row. So, for now, managers can consider him a mid-to-high-level kicking option in Week 2.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (knee) is back at practice on Wednesday, marking the first time he's practiced since suffering a knee injury in the Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Love suffered a sprained MCL in that Friday night game, but his return means he has a chance to play against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3. However, fantasy managers should monitor his practice participation throughout the week. The Titans have allowed the fewest passing yards (269) in the NFL through two weeks, and its revamped secondary featuring L'Jarius Sneed looks much improved. In the Chicago Bears' Week 2 matchup against the Houston Texans, running back Khalil Herbert scored the team's only touchdown. With the Packers only dropping back to pass 19 times and throwing only 14 times, the pass-catchers didn't have too much to work with thanks to the game plan by head coach Matt LaFleur to lean heavily on the run game and an opportunistic defense that forced three turnovers. Doubs and the Packers will head southeast to Nashville to play the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, but Doubs will merely be a flex play in fantasy.

That will likely be a heavy dose of the running game to protect Willis, who has not shown much in the way of passing efficiency in his third season as an NFL quarterback. Doubs is a low-end FLEX option for fantasy managers, where you're hoping he can get into the end zone.

Doubs led the Packers in targets with seven, catching four of those targets for 50 yards. Of the group of wide receivers, Doubs ran the most routes on the team and also led the receivers with an 87% snap share, per Nathan Jahnke of PFF. Even though Doubs ran the most routes and earned the most snaps, he's still a bit of a risky proposition to start in fantasy, especially with a potential Jordan Love injury at the end of Week 1 to factor in. The utilization for Doubs makes him a bit safer as a player you know will be on the field a ton, but with that safety comes the fact that Doubs was a bit touchdown-dependent last season. Consider Doubs a low-end WR3 for fantasy in Week 2 if Love is the starter at quarterback.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney delivered a standout performance in the Falcons' win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Mooney recorded 88 receiving yards on three catches, including a 41-yard touchdown strike from quarterback Kirk Cousins. He shared the team lead in targets with Drake London and led the team in receiving yards. Mooney added receptions of 21 and 26 yards on consecutive plays during Atlanta's game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, setting up the decisive touchdown by London. After a disappointing season with the Chicago Bears, where he managed just 414 receiving yards and one touchdown, Mooney is making significant strides with his new team and quarterback. His best season came in 2021 when he recorded 81 receptions for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns. He's worth stashing in most fantasy formats and should be on the WR4 radar heading into the opener.
