Last week against the Chiefs, Harris accumulated 81 all-purpose yards, which was his best production since Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals. In Week 18, Harris will get another crack at the same Bengals, and fantasy managers can start Harris as a reliable RB2 this week, as the Bengal's defense has been vulnerable against the run in 2024. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris handled 13 carries for 74 yards and hauled in two of his four targets for seven yards in a 29-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Harris split backfield work with Jaylen Warren fairly evenly in this one but gained 45 of his rushing yards on Pittsburgh's last possession with the game already out of reach. Warren was much more efficient than Harris throughout the rest of the contest, however. Along with the rest of the Steelers' offense, Harris is in the midst of a rough stretch right now. He will hope to bounce back next week in a showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals, who he performed extremely well against back in Week 13.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris has been quiet as of late and will have to overcome the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17 to provide value in fantasy championships. The Chiefs have been shutting down the run all season, giving up the fewest rushing yards and fantasy points to opposing running backs as well as the fourth-fewest yards per carry. Still, he can't be trusted in this matchup. Fantasy managers with other options would be wise to bench Harris or deploy him as a low-end flex option this week.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper caught three passes for 56 yards and one touchdown in the team's 40-14 win over the New York Jets. The veteran's highlight play was a 30-yard jump-ball touchdown over a New York defender. Despite one of his best games in a Bills uniform, the move to Buffalo hasn't benefited Cooper's fantasy value. His three targets trailed Keon Coleman (seven) and Khalil Shakir (six). The Bills secured the number two seed in the AFC and face the New England Patriots in Week 18.

A midseason trade to Buffalo was supposed to save wide receiver Amari Cooper from the inept Cleveland offense. Instead, the veteran is an afterthought in a high-powered offense. Cooper has three or fewer targets in five of seven games as a Bill and has totaled one catch for 10 yards in his last two contests. He hasn't played more than 55% of Buffalo's offensive snaps yet. Given the Jets are stingy against outside wide receivers, Cooper shouldn't be considered for starting lineups this weekend.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper caught one pass for 10 yards in the team's 24-21 win over the New England Patriots. The veteran secured his lone reception in the second quarter and was only targeted once more. As has been the case for most of his stint in Buffalo, Cooper was largely uninvolved in the offensive game plan. He has two games with double-digit PPR points in seven tries. Cooper can't be trusted in starting lineups when the Bills host the New York Jets next weekend.

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said on Monday that running back Chuba Hubbard (calf) will not require surgery for his strained calf. Hubbard was placed on season-ending Injured Reserve last week and will miss the final two games of the 2024 regular season. It's a downer to end what was a brilliant campaign for the 25-year-old in his fourth year in the NFL. He set career-highs in rushing attempts (250), rushing yards (1,195), rushing touchdowns (10) and receptions (43) while recording 171 receiving yards and an additional touchdown in his 15 starts. In terms of half-PPR points per game (14.9), Hubbard was the RB12 in fantasy. Although the Panthers have another promising back they drafted in 2024 in Jonathon Brooks, he has yet to be healthy, and Carolina also signed Hubbard to a four-year extension last month. Hubbard should enter 2025 as the team's unquestioned RB1.

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard (calf, knee) has been placed on injured reserve, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move will effectively end Hubbard's season with two weeks remaining on the schedule. Hubbard enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2024, running with the opportunity to lead Carolina's backfield. He finishes the year with 1,195 rushing yards, 171 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns. Not only did he take over the backfield from Miles Sanders, but he also allowed the Panthers to be patient with the debut of Jonathon Brooks, who recovered from a torn ACL only to re-injure himself in his third NFL game. Hubbard, who ranks 12th among running backs in fantasy points (PPR), played well enough to earn a four-year contract extension during the middle of the season, signifying that the Panthers want him to be a centerpiece of their offense long-term. He should remain the Panthers' primary running back when he returns healthy in 2025, ranking as a high-end RB2 option in fantasy football. Meanwhile, for the final two games of the 2024 season, the Panthers will likely rely on some combination of Raheem Blackshear, Velus Jones Jr., and Mike Boone out of the backfield. There's also a slight chance that Sanders could return from IR for next week's season finale. Without a clear backfield alignment, it's risky to start any Panthers running back in fantasy football for Weeks 17 and 18.

Hubbard has managed limited practices on Thursday and Friday, which is an encouraging sign of his availability for Week 17. Hubbard has had a stellar 2024 campaign, ranking as the RB11 on the season. He has 1,195 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. Combined with 171 yards and one touchdown through the air. Fantasy managers can confidently start Hubbard this week, as the Buccaneers defense is nothing to write home about. In addition to the matchup, Hubbard has earned a 77.3% snap share on the season and is earning most of the opportunities out of the backfield of late. Hubbard is a borderline RB1 and comes in as RotoBaller's RB12 in the latest rankings for fantasy championship week.

According to the team, Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Denver Broncos. Running back Kareem Hunt (coaching) is also listed as doubtful for this weekend. Pacheco has been unable to practice all week with a rib injury he suffered during their Week 17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pacheco missed time earlier this season with a fractured fibula but should be expected to operate as the top running back when healthy. While he was sidelined, Kareem Hunt took over the starting role. With the Chiefs already having sole possession of the top seed in the AFC, they will opt to ensure both of their top running backs are fully healthy for the postseason. As a result, fantasy managers should expect rookie Carson Steele to receive a heavy workload in this game alongside Samaje Perine. Steele should be viewed as a viable RB2 option this weekend and a great value play in DFS.

According to Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star, Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (ribs) will not practice on Wednesday. Earlier this week, head coach Andy Reid noted that the running back will be available for the playoffs but will be held out of practice this week. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progress during the week but should not expect him to suit up in Week 18, as the Chiefs are already locked into the No.1 seed in the AFC. This means that Pacheco will have another week off before they return to action in the Divisional Round. Since returning in Week 13 from a fractured fibula that kept him sidelined through most of the season, he averaged just over ten total touches per game, operating as the "1A" in the backfield alongside Kareem Hunt. Given his injury history this season, Hunt will likely continue to limit his overall ceiling.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said on Monday that he will probably hold running back Isiah Pacheco (ribs) back in practice this week, but he expects the RB to be ready to go for the playoffs. Fellow RB Kareem Hunt might also see minimal run, if any at all, this weekend with KC having nothing to play for. If both Pacheco and Hunt are rested completely, look for Samaje Perine and rookie Carson Steele to share backfield touches for an offense that will be run by backup QB Carson Wentz.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist) was upgraded to a full practice session on Thursday after he was listed as limited on Wednesday. Hill has been managing a wrist injury pretty much all year, but it hasn't sidelined him for a single game. He should put in another full practice on Friday before being cleared from the final Week 18 injury report. Fantasy managers should consider Hill a must-start WR1 this week with many other starting wideouts around the league set to be rested in the regular-season finale. Miami still has a shot at a playoff berth with a win over the division-rival New York Jets and a Denver Broncos loss, so they will be playing all their healthy starters. With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip) out in last week's win over the Browns, Hill caught all nine of his targets from Tyler Huntley and went for 105 yards -- just his third 100-yard game of the year.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill looked like his old self Sunday at Cleveland, catching all nine of his targets for 105 yards in a 20-3 victory. The veteran receiver was a critical part of the win for a Miami team playing without injured starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip). With quarterback Tyler Huntley filling in, Hill accounted for nearly half of Huntley's passing yards and helped the Dolphins do enough to keep their playoff hopes alive for another week. Given the downgrade at quarterback, Hill still delivered for managers who started him in the championship round. The Dolphins, who don't yet know who will start at quarterback, finish the regular season against the New York Jets.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist) is officially active for Week 17's game against the Cleveland Browns. The star wideout finally started finding the end zone again from Week 10 to Week 16, but he'll have to operate with Tyler Huntley instead of Tua Tagovailoa (hip). During Huntley's three starts earlier this season, Hill registered WR54, WR32, and WR73 finishes in half-PPR leagues. The Browns allow the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers but are 22nd against opposing quarterbacks. Fantasy managers may want to temper expectations a bit for Hill, especially in a game forecasted with thunderstorms and wind.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (heel) shouldn't require a stint on the injured reserve, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh. Palmer was seen wearing a walking boot following Saturday's win over the New England Patriots. This comes after Palmer was forced to exit during the second half on Saturday due to a heel injury. The expectation is that the Chargers are going to hold out Palmer for Week 18. However, the 25-year-old might be ready to play in time for the playoffs. The absence of Palmer should mean more targets for Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston. Possibly, DJ Chark gets more involved as the third wideout, but he's not a reliable fantasy option.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (heel) is questionable to return to Saturday's game with a heel injury. The wideout sustained this injury during the third quarter of the game. Before exiting, Palmer brought in four of his six targets for 41 yards. His longest reception of the game went for 19 yards. At the time of departing, he had the third-most targets on the team, behind only Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer is too risky to trust in a critical Week 17 fantasy week. The Chargers will take on the New England Patriots on Saturday, and while that's a good matchup for Palmer, he's been playing in much more of a support role in the Bolts passing game than anything close to a featured one. He's had one week with double-digit fantasy points in the past seven games, and while he's developed a floor of around three or four fantasy points, that's not something you want to rely on in most league's fantasy championship week. Palmer is best left on the bench or the waiver wire in most formats.
