It has been yet another disappointing season for the former first-round draft pick, but perhaps this can be the beginning of some rapport with his rookie quarterback that, if he can muster another decent outing next week, could build some momentum heading into next season. It's probably a long shot, though, but the 24-year-old does draw a favorable matchup next week against the Panthers in a must-win game for the Falcons. Carolina is one of the worst teams in allowing production to tight ends, although they allow production to all positions, so the Falcons should have multiple paths to victory.

As the fifth option in an offense that has a quarterback making only his second career start in Michael Penix Jr., Pitts makes for quite the gamble in Week 17 against a Commanders defense that has been fairly good at limiting production to TEs, not having allowed any single tight end to surpass more than 66 receiving yards on the year. The former first-round draft pick has theoretical upside, but hits his floor more often than not, so should not be trusted at this critical time of the fantasy season. The 6-foot-6 pass catcher is a low-end TE2 for Sunday's matchup in Washington, D.C.

A week after catching four passes, Pitts faded into the background once again, now with one catch or less in five of the last seven games. Michael Penix Jr. targeted eight different receivers in this one, but the bulk of it was focused on the three main pass catchers Drake London, Darnell Mooney, and Ray-Ray McCloud III. If you were a Pitts manager and survived this performance, congratulations. Next Sunday brings a matchup versus Washington who has been good against tight ends this season, so the 24-year-old will be a roll of the dice again for any manager interested in deploying him.

According to the team, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave (concussion) practiced in full again on Thursday. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his status during Friday's practice as he may not only be nearing a return but could avoid an injury designation as well. The star wideout has been sidelined since suffering his second concussion of the season during Week 9. Olave has begun to practice the past few weeks but has yet to officially clear the league's protocol. During his limited action this season, the Ohio State product has still been productive, as he has surpassed 80.0 receiving yards in four of the six full games he participated in. Even playing in a struggling offense, Olave would remain a solid WR2 in all formats operating as the clear WR1 in Week 18 facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to the team, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave (concussion) logged a full practice on Wednesday. Olave was a full participant in practice last week but was unable to pass concussion protocol in time to suit up in Week 17. The wideout has been sidelined since suffering his second concussion of the season during Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers. Even though Olave has been limited by injuries all season, he has continued to showcase his high upside when on the field. During four of the six full games he played in, Olave tallied at least 80 yards in each contest. If Olave can return for the final game of the season, he should be viewed as a solid WR2 in all formats despite the poor QB play New Orleans has had with Derek Carr (hand) sidelined.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave (concussion) will practice on Wednesday. Interim head coach Darren Rizzi said that Olave is one of the team's injured players asking to return for the Week 18 regular-season finale against the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The head coach said that Olave has been looking like the Olave of old, but his availability is a matter of his conditioning level and the medical staff giving the green light. The 24-year-old former first-rounder was put on Injured Reserve after a second concussion this year. He has not played in a game since Week 9, so even if he were to come off IR and play in Week 18 in a good matchup, Olave would be a volatile play in fantasy lineups in a bad offense that is being run by rookie QB Spencer Rattler. The Saints have already been eliminated from postseason play, so it's still unlikely Olave makes a return this year.

New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams had two carries for 12 yards and caught his lone target for 12 more yards through the air in Sunday's 25-10 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Williams was largely irrelevant despite the team designating Alvin Kamara (groin) out and losing fill-in starter Kendre Miller (head) to a possible concussion in the second quarter. Williams did see his highest snap count since Week 8 but was outdone in that regard by recent signee Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday. CEH led the Saints' running backs with six total touches for 30 scrimmage yards. If Miller and Kamara are both out for Week 18's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Williams might see increased usage in a timeshare with Edwards-Helaire. Given his underwhelming production in the Saints' limited utilization, not much should be expected from him in the season finale.

The veteran drew fewer carries than fellow running backs Kendre Miller and Jordan Mims, and backup quarterback Spencer Rattler carried five times as the depleted Saints offense struggled to muster anything in a forgettable outing. Even without starting running Alvin Kamara (groin), Williams was not fantasy relevant. The former 1,000-yard rusher can safely be left on waivers as the Saints prepare for Las Vegas in Week 17.

Running back Jamaal Williams could see more time on the field when the New Orleans Saints face the Green Bay Packers on Monday. Alvin Kamara (groin) has been declared out after suffering an injured adductor in Week 15. Fellow backup Kendre Miller shouldered the backfield load for the rest of the way in that game and is expected to start against Green Bay. Even with the plethora of injuries dealt to the Saints all season, the team has been reluctant to work Williams into the mix. Williams has been on the field for a total of 13 offensive snaps since the Saints' Week 12 bye. With Kamara out, Williams may step in more frequently though his body of work in 2024 offers little hope for fantasy managers. In 11 games, Williams has averaged 3.7 yards per carry on 35 rushes and has seen only nine targets. He is an easy fade in Week 16 against a Packers defense that has allowed a league-best 3.46 yards per carry over the last four weeks.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks could see an increased workload for the Packers' Week 18 contest against the Chicago Bears. Wicks played a bit more with Christian Watson (knee) out for Week 17's game and with Watson questionable in Week 18, Wicks could continue to see plenty of work if Watson is out. Earning the second-most targets (5) on the Packers in Week 17 against the Minnesota Vikings, Wicks caught 4-of-5 passes for 43 yards. The Packers' passing game has been de-emphasized since the team's Week 10 bye week in favor of a strong running game where Josh Jacobs has flourished. Wicks is more of a low-end flex for fantasy purposes in the team's final regular season game before the playoffs.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks was a contributor to the Packers' effort but came up short as Green Bay lost to the Minnesota Vikings 27-25. Wicks caught 4-of-5 targets for 43 yards, finishing second on the team in targets on the afternoon. The recipient of quarterback Jordan Love's first two completions of the game, Wicks earned just one targets until the Packers' final drive of the game. Taking advantage of Christian Watson (knee) being inactive for the Packers in Week 17, Wicks was solid, but unspectacular. Wicks' fantasy value will be directly tied to Watson's availability in Week 18 when the Packers host the Chicago Bears in Week 18. For fantasy purposes, Wicks would be a dart-throw flex option if Watson doesn't suit up.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks should see his opportunities open quite a bit more as the Packers travel to U.S. Bank Stadium to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. With Christian Watson (knee) questionable for the game, Wicks' value would be tied to Watson's availability. If Watson doesn't play, Wicks will be the primary outside receiver opposite Romeo Doubs and should run more routes than he typically does with Watson healthy. Wicks caught a touchdown pass in Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints and led the team with seven targets. The Vikings have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, but even then, Wicks is a low-end flex option for fantasy no matter Watson's status for Week 17's game against the Vikings.
