At any rate, he'll have his whole complement of receivers in this one -- save for running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) -- so Purdy should be in for a decent day, especially with wideout Brandon Aiyuk getting another week of practice under his belt. Look for Purdy to find the end zone in Week 2, as he sits on the fantasy QB1/2 border.

A few drives later, Cook punched it in from the one-yard line, a rare site in his young career. Finally, he sprinted away from defenders on a 49-yard touchdown run up the middle. Cook has now matched his rushing touchdown total from last season. His night could have been bigger but the Bills remained up three touchdowns throughout the entire fourth quarter and let rookie Ray Davis burn the clock. Cook will be in the RB1 range when the Bills take the field against Jacksonville a week from Monday.

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook may not get the red zone opportunities that fantasy managers love, but he'll get plenty of touches elsewhere on the field. Although on the field for just over 60% of Buffalo's snaps in Week 1, James Cook dominated backfield touches. He carried the ball 19 times and caught three passes. Rookie Ray Davis got four touches while veteran Ty Johnson received two. With offensive coordinator Joe Brady's reliance on the running game since he took the helm, Cook is in line for another 15-20 touch game. Consider Cook a low-end RB1 against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook rushed for 71 yards on 19 attempts while adding 32 yards on three catches in the team's Week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Cook dominated the running back touches (22), compared to four for rookie Ray Davis and two for Ty Johnson. Unfortunately, as was the story often in 2023, Josh Allen accounted for the team's two rushing touchdowns from within the 10-yard line. That left Cook with good yardage but no scores. Expect another game of 15-20 touches when the Bills take on the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. A lack of goal-line opportunities will continue to cap his upside.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin kicked off the season with a bang during the Week 1 contest against the Washington Commanders. McLaughlin connected on all three field goal attempts while hitting all four extra point attempts as well. The veteran kicker was fantastic for the Bucs last season, but a shaky preseason might've scared away some fantasy managers. The Bucs offense should once again be strong enough to give McLaughlin plenty of work on a weekly basis. He'll likely be busy again against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. Fantasy managers looking to stream a kicker might want to consider giving McLaughlin a chance.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin (abdomen) was upgraded to a full participant in practice on Thursday, according to Brianna Dix. McLaughlin missed practice on Wednesday due to an abdomen injury and an illness. However, seeing him return to full participation the following day is a great sign for his status in the season opener on Sunday afternoon. The 28-year-old enjoyed a great season in Tampa Bay last fall, hitting 93.5% of his attempts and a stellar 7-for-8 from outside 50 yards. DFS players should consider placing McLaughlin in their lineup as he will face the Washington Commanders, who surrendered the most total yards in the league last season.

Possibly, McCaffrey is able to play through the issue after his stint on the injured reserve, but fantasy managers should prepare for him to miss up to six weeks. In his absence, Jordan Mason figures to be the lead back and should be rostered in just about every fantasy format after his showing in Week 1.

New England Patriots wide receiver K.J. Osborn caught one of two targets for seven yards during the team's 23-20 overtime loss against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. Osborn was one of just two Patriots wide receivers who were targeted in the contest. It has become evident that New England will try to win games by running the ball with Rhamondre Stevenson, opting to pass only when absolutely necessary. As a result, Osborn is avoidable in most fantasy leagues despite his starting role in the Patriots' offense. He remains off the fantasy radar heading into Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson will take on the Atlanta Falcons in the Eagles' first true home game of the season on Monday night. The third-year receiver failed to catch his lone target last week during the team's win over the Green Bay Packers in Brazil but has the potential to see an increased role heading into Week 2. Star receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant in Friday's practice and has the potential to either miss the game Monday or play at less than 100%. With no other real competition for targets behind him, Dotson could see an increase in snaps and routes run Monday night. He is not in serious consideration unless you are in a large league, but keep an eye on Dotson this week in case he proves that he needs to see more targets in the future.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson will face off against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil to open the regular season on Friday. The former Washington Commander was traded to the Eagles two weeks ago as the team was making its final roster transactions before the regular season, giving Philadelphia one of the strongest receiver trios in the league. With that said, Dotson does not hold a ton of fantasy value in redraft leagues heading into Week 1. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has never supported three fantasy relevant wide receivers in the past and while the addition of Dotson makes the offense even tougher to stop, the target share and overall involvement for the 24-year-old is not expected to make him a fantasy asset on a weekly basis. If anything were to happen to A.J. Brown of DeVonta Smith, Dotson will be a hot waiver addition, but until then he is little more than an emergency bench stash or can be left on the waiver wire. He is not a recommended fantasy option in Week 1 against the Packers.

Cleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins made all three of his field goals and added an extra point in an 18-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. Hopkins hit field goals from 53, 38, and 44 yards out in the victory. The veteran kicker has now made all four of his field-goal tries and all three of his extra points through the first two weeks of the season. He will look to remain perfect heading into Week 3's home matchup against the New York Giants.

Cleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins made a 51-yard field goal, his lone attempt, in a Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Hopkins will now head on the road to face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. Jacksonville gave up three field-goal attempts to Jason Sanders when they faced the Miami Dolphins back in the season opener. The Cleveland offense didn't show much to evoke optimism in Week 1, so Hopkins might not hear his number called much this weekend if the struggles continue. That leaves him as a low-end fantasy kicker heading into Week 2.

Cleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins made his lone field-goal attempt and added two extra points in a 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Hopkins knocked down a 51-yard field goal for the Browns in the first quarter but was held without another field-goal attempt for the remainder of the game. The veteran has shown a big leg since joining the Browns in 2023, having now hit all nine of his attempts from 50+ yards. The Cowboys have a tough defense, so Hopkins should see more chances to score points moving forward.
